Arrived today for lunch around 11:45. A nice steady flow of people were in and out. I ordered the Whiting and Skrimp basket which included 3 whiting filets and 4 jumbo skrimp. It also came along with a a side and drink; I chose cole slaw and had SWEET tea (notice the emphasis on sweet). Hushpuppies are not included but I purchased a side of five for 99 cents. The fish and skrimp were cooked well and came out piping hot. I do wish more than 4 skrimps came with the basket. For me the cole slaw had way toooo much vinegar in it. I could not eat it. I'll return to try more menu items but I'm in no rush to eat there again and I'll try another side the next time. Also, there were numerous flies on the windows. Very annoying. read more

I was so excited when I heard this place was open. We been by several times and the line was out the door! It has to be excellent, right? Not exactly. I got the PoBoy. Had high expectations for this sandwich. I've had PoBoys before that were delicious. This one was as basic as you can get. The shrimp was good but very under seasoned and bland. What was concerning was, it was on an untoasted bun with some kind of weird sauce. I've never had a PoBoy on a cold bun. It was very weird. Usually I've had PoBoys on a warm and toasted bun. The fries were cold as well. I regret getting the PoBoy. A waste of $13 plus dollars. The best thing I had was the Dr. Pepper. I'll give this place another try but will stay far away from the less than tasty and dismal PoBoy. Stay in your lane and leave the PoBoys to the pros. read more

My husband and I ate there for the first time today he got the catfish and shrimp dinner with fried okra and I got the shrimp po boy. It was all great we really enjoyed it. The fried okra was some of the best we've had, yes I stole some of his. The batter on the fish and shrimp were yummy. We will definitely go back to try other meals on the menu. 2 weeks ago my family ordered from this restaurant, we'd heard so many good things about the Skrimp Shack so we tried it out. We got the order and were missing items but the food was good so we didn't worry about it and ate what we did have. Today we ordered again to give them a chance to redeem themselves and it got WORSE. This time not only did they forget items off of our order again but the food was cold and flavorless despite having to wait in line for a call-ahead order; also the order seemed thrown together and were incorrect and the experience was overall awful. The guy working there was dismissive and rude. I will definitely not be dining with them EVER again! read more

It was so good, I went two days in a row!! The skrimp and catfish po boy is amazing. The po boy sauce is really good too. The second time I had the catfish sandwich which was just as good! Of the sides, I tried the hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw. The male cashier was very pleasant and patient with explaining the menu being that it was our first time. Although the shrimp was very good, I would definitely recommend picking up to make sure your order is correct. That is completely illegal to take someone's money and not provide what they paid for, and refuse to rectify the issue. I went to the skrimp shack for the first time in 2 months reason being my last 3 visit my orders wer messed up. They left my orders of skrimp off each visit then i ordered whiting skrimp dinner and the fish was over cooked just like some rubber. So yesterday my party of 3 dinners i ordered catfish skrimp dinner and collards wasn't nothing but a cup of stems very little leaves and forgot my hushpuppies . then i witness 3 other people's orders jacked up wrong so that problem still exist !!!! Also catfish looked like pieces of French fries. I was spending a lot of $$$ there now it makes me wonder. Since you carried the prices why cut back on the portions ? I've ordered from this place a few times before. I don't know if they are understaffed but after today I don't think I'll be ordering from them anymore. The line is usually to the door and because the food is somewhat cooked to order the wait time is usually pretty long. I have a 1 year old so I don't have time to come and stand in line. I usually call before coming so that by the time I get there my order is ready. The past 2 times I have attempted to order I call and am immediately placed on hold. The first time I decided to hang up and go somewhere else. I tried to give them another try and yet again I was placed on hold. I waited on hold for over 10 minutes. The person never bothered to pick up to say sorry for the wait or anything. I hung up and called back, she tried to place me on hold, interrupted her and said I had been on hold for over 10 minutes. Her response, I have a long line and have to take their orders first. So I've hurt so much conversation about this restaurant on Facebook and I decided the next time I was in town I would stop by and visit I had loved seafood so I ordered the for shrimp with fish and it came with a sigh and a drink I had jumbo fried shrimp and fried fish along with a white macaroni and cheese and a sweet tea. I place my order and within 10 minutes my order was ready and left. The food was hot in 8 fresh but that's not the problem the problem is flavor there was 0 flavor in the fish or shrimp 0 flavor this was very disappointing also the macaroni cheese was white instead of yellow and a taste extremely starchy as if they use flour or hour at say a lot of flour to attempt to make it creamy like a white cheese how ever that was also very bland and not something that I would purchase a second time . The star of the show what have to be the sweetie that also had a nice lemon taste that I enjoy it was very refreshing. The place was rather odd busy however it was around 7:00 p.m. Ah which would be considered dinner time so they were very busy however there was no line out the door. This place will probably be a one time trip for me due to the lack of seasoning. I did like the price for what you got for the amount of food that you got the price suits it if they can fix the flavor of the AB fish and shrimp and and change the recipe for their macaroni and cheese I would definitely return to give them another try but as of right now I will not be back read more

The food was really good! I got a fish and shrimp basket and even though it was fried, it wasn't greasy at all. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the service was super slow. It took us over 30 mins to get our food. We did go during lunch time on a weekday but still the wait was so long. I will come back but I definitely have to order ahead! read more

I was finally able to get food here one day when the line was not as long. I ordered the fish and shrimp platter and shrimp po boy for my husband. The fried seafood has good season. The po boy comes with a sauce that my husband did not care too much for but overall he still loved the sandwich. Good food here but get it when you can! read more

Had this for lunch today and after the much anticipated hype, I WAS DISAPPOINTED. I ordered the whiting basket with the fried okra, the okra was great, The whiting had no seasoning, tasted like it was cooked in old oil and it was cooked too hard. It seems like the first two weeks, I heard great reviews, but now like myself those that have finally visited this place were not pleased at all.
