Stopped right off the highway for dinner. Convenient for those driving down 95 or also a favorite of locals. Inside was classic diner vibes with a milkshake bar seats or booths. Service was friendly and efficient, from getting seated to food being served. As you'd expect from a diner, an expansive menu of various grill eats and American entrees . The sandwich was decent but the sky burger was really good, from large meat patty to well made with the toppings.

    Mmmmm..... Free Dessert....

Very tasty food and friendly atmosphere. Free dessert if you leave a review. So--BONUS!

Ordered takeout and everything was so fresh and perfect. I appreciated that they took our substitute and side notes into consideration and tailored our order exactly how we wanted it to be... As in I asked for the onions and tomatoes on the side of my sandwich and they were included in a small wax paper bag! How considerate. :) Great and convenient location.

Small, busy diner with plenty of parking and a friendly staff. Service was quick, and my coffee cup was refilled without my even asking. Eggs up were quite good, but the bacon egg and cheese were not to my wife's liking; bacon was not thoroughly cooked, and the roll was very sweet. Lots of regulars were here (first name basis with the servers). Service was professional but not particularly friendly.

Breakfast was delicious. The menu had lots of options for breakfast. I got the doctor's omelette (egg whites with tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, broccoli). It was so good and light. Coffee and French toast were really good too. Loved the pictures of several Branford buildings and landmarks on the walls. Will definitely be back.

Road-tripping up I-95 and it's well past lunch time. I saw a billboard for a crab place and thought clam chowder does sound good. This is New England so.... Well the crab place seemed a little too upscale for me so I decided to try this diner I passed. Middle of the afternoon on a Friday and I'm the only one in the place. It was clean, all booths and an extensive menu. The board out front mentioned the clam chowder so that was an obvious starter. I didn't want anything big but not a burger. For some reason a gyro sounded good. The chowder arrived. Manhattan style! You got to warn someone when traveling through New England the the chowder isn't New England. Now I'm bummed. I will admit the chowder was still good but mostly consisted of large chunks of potato and a lot less clam. Then the gyro arrived. It is served open faced; flat pita with gyro meat on top then a heaping pile of steamed onions and peppers. There were two cubes of feta cheese and sauce in a plastic container. Again, it tasted good but not what I was expecting. Maybe had I stuck to the standard sandwiches and fries I might rate this place a little higher. The service was fine, the prices reasonable and the facility seemed clean. Just walked away without having either of my food cravings satisfied.

Lunch/dinner chicken parmigiana and meatball grinder

So this place has terrific service and is very clean. We ate here twice in a two day span. We had lunch here on a whim and the menu is extensive. The breakfast options looked amazing so we came back the next day for breakfast. I'll start with lunch/ dinner. I had the chicken parmigiana with penne pasta. It was outstanding. The chicken was seasoned and juicy inside a crunch outside. It was excellent. The pasta sauce was good too. My husband ordered the spinach pie as an app. I had a few bites. It was good, but maybe lacked some cheese. Just a little bit dry. His lunch was a meatball grinder which was also excellent. The same sauce I had on my dish is used. The cheese is really high grade mozzarella. The stretch point was really good and flavor too. The meatball had good flavor and was so light and fluffy, and It came with fries. We ordered desserts to go. We each got a cannoli which were delicious and I got a slice of carrot cake. The carrot cake I ate the next day and was happy to report it was moist and delicious. My husband got a little individual Boston cream pie. Our meal was very good so we decided to try breakfast the next day. We got there about 10am the next morning, it was a Saturday. So it was busy but we didn't have to wait too long to be seated. We got coffee, which was average. We ordered potato pancakes to split, I got the avocado Benedict, and my husband got the Irish Benedict. This is where the problem came in. The potato pancakes were hard as Little Rock's, the flavors were so subtle it was not very enjoyable. The Benedict's were a huge disappointment. The hollandaise sauce was horrible. It was thick like a gravy and had a bitter yuck flavor. I ended up scraping it all off and eating my avocados and English muffins. It was almost like they put flour in the hollandaise. I couldn't stomach it, so ended up avoiding that whole part of my meal. The home fries were good though. My husband had the same reaction to the hollandaise. It just was horribly wrong. He ate what he could avoiding it as well. It really put a sad face on the diner. We had the same waitress for breakfast she was terrific. I'd say avoid the Benedict's.

Solid diner. Had breakfast, eggs and corned beef hash. Not all homemade (eg canned hash) but hot fast and well-prepared. Good service.

The Feeling boogie cheddar grits were cooked perfectly the langoustine was cooked perfectly. I'd seen this place recommended on Yelp a few times but had never made it over until today. When we walked in, we honestly thought they were closed because there was only one four-top occupied and one person sitting at the bar. We grabbed a table for two, and I started with a mimosa while my sister ordered a coffee before eventually joining me with a mimosa. She had the OG breakfast sandwich, a classic that really hit the spot. I ordered the Madame Monsieur with fries, and everything was cooked perfectly. The food tasted fresh and made to order, which is always appreciated. Our server, Angelina, also made an excellent mimosa the orange juice to Prosecco ratio was just right (a small detail that makes a big difference!). Service was on the slower side, but from what we could tell, Angelina was the only server working, so it was understandable. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and has the charm of a little café, making it a nice place to enjoy a relaxed brunch. Overall, a very enjoyable first visit. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

This is something you would get as part of your dinner experience in another restaurant. Especially none of the meals come with a salad. My appetizer was the Stacks. It was 4 slices of beet and a very small serving of Burrata. In was good, however it should have had a bigger portion of cheese. It was so small, you could not get the effect of the cheese. My main meal was the Pasta Board. I told the waiter that I didn't want the pasta on a board and wanted in bowls, which they did. I could not imagine eating this off a board. The sauces were good and the portion size for the red sauces good, however the white sauce was one was very small. For dessert I had the ice cream with espresso. It was good, but the scoop of ice cream was very small. To sum up the experience, good food and small portions. No free bread with the meals or salad.

Waitress said it came with seasonal vegetables to include squash etc, it didn't. It had kalamata olives and lots of capers. It made for a salty bite every time. I picked out all the capers. It was a very small portion of fish and risotto for $40. The farro salad, we added ahi tuna. Tuna had no flavor, no seasoning or crust. Very little farro or butternut, mostly lettuce. Cuban, heavy bread ratio. Otherwise was good. Three drinks were good: passionfruit mojito, guava coco margarita, were the average price for a drink out these days. The Oxford spritz was $25 dollars--that's insane... if we knew that price, would never have ordered. Apps: king pao dumplings, wish I took a picture -- they were beyond mini. Waste of money IMO. Yuca fries were a little undercooked to be creamy (we've had them other places better). Shrimp tacos were good. On a Friday night: only two tables outside were filled, 3 other tables inside besides ours from 630/830. When they first opened, you couldn't get in without a reservation as people were getting in to try it. My guess is people aren't returning. We wouldn't either unfortunately. Restaurant scene is competitive in Branford and for price and portion, it's just not gonna meet the mark--in my opinion
