Just the best. A hidden gem in Southie where they do great work without price gouging. They always have the colors I want, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They are always prompt when I call and make an appointment and even do their best to squeeze people in without one. I typically get gel manicures, but have recently done acrylic with gel for a little bit longer wear. Gel is always done well, and the acrylics last almost 3 full weeks without lifting! (I do use cuticle oil and keep my hands moisturized.) They always crush the shape, and take my input/direction well. I never feel pressured to keep my nails too long etc. I will miss this place when I move. read more

The owner was rude, on two separate occasions. Once to me and once to my mother.. On top of being rude she has cut my fingers on two separate occasions. My nail broke on a Monday at work after getting my nails done Sunday. The owner told me it would be one hour to get a simple nail fixed. Rudely cutting me off and talking over me.. The young woman who did my mani (no pedi) made it her personal OCD-mission to correct the failings of my previous salon in DC. (Not mentioning names, oh Enchanted one.) She attacked with ruthless --yet gentle--precision each and every snaggley cuticle and stray skin-curl. While there is no helping how chonky my fingers are, she made the nails and cuticles as smooth and soft as a puppy's belly. Total no-frills. Gel removal and replacement. $26 bucks. I got my nails done here on Monday 2/20/2023 and my nails already cracked by Wednesday 2/22/2023. I came back and asked her to fix it and she said no come back in a few days. The crack was obvious and I got dip nails. It's not hard for her to fix it. I took an Uber here and wasted money and also had to take a Uber back. This is the first time I went to this salon and I would not recommend it to anyone. She wasted my time when all she could've done was redid the nails and I was willing to pay extra money. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and there was only 1 person in the chair. The gentleman (I didn't get his name) did an amazing job on my mani-pedi!!!! He took his time when he scrubbed, filed, applied lotion and painted my nails. He also gave me a leg massage with a hot stone as well as a heel treatment! Both my feet and hands look amazing!!!! Everywhere in the city the price of mani-pedi's increased by at least $5 dollars but this service is worth it!!!! I will definitely be returning (on a slow day)! read more

I gave this salon a higher rating in the past when Henry did my gel mani, but since I've been getting dip I don't see Henry anymore. Recently the nail tech, Nancy who seems to be the only one who does dip nails (aside from the owner) decided to tell me that she's not going to be doing my nails anymore. I told her so you're not doing my nails anymore because I tell you how I want them done? She replied yes, you tell me you don't want them thick you don't want this or that. Ummmm hello, that's how this works! She said this after I told her she missed a spot and I kept looking at my nails because she didn't drill them down smoothly. It was bumpy so was I suppose to walk around with nails like that? Excuse me for speaking up. Even before this happened I realized that Nancy does not take criticism well at all. Before I told her how I want my nails to be in the previous sessions, I would be extremely careful how I said it so she's not upset with me because I have noticed in the past she didn't like to hear any criticism. I am not going to walk out of the salon with nails I am not satisfied with so yes of course I'm going to tell you how I want them done. I am paying for this service. Speaking of service, overall their customer service is not great. I felt uncomfortable the way they mistreated customers while I was there. Feel free to go to Nancy just keep your comments to yourself and hope for the best because girlfriend does not care about how you feel or what you think. I have been a regular here since moving to Dorchester in October, but have decided to stop coming. The salon is small and clean, definitely not glamorous by any means, but the cheapest gel in the area made it worth it. I brought my friend a few weeks ago and they butchered her manicure, with her swearing to never go back. I went back one more time after her, and was rushed becuase they clearly wanted to pay more attention to a customer who came in with fancy nails and wanted them redone (more $!). I've never been shoved through a salon so quickly, with the woman doing my nails so carelessly and quick it was a miracle she didn't actually hurt me considering she was barely looking. A few days later, guess what's already peeling off! And on top of all this, they raised the prices to the same shops in the area. The gel manicure price was still in the realm of reasonable, but it was more expensive than other manis I've gotten and the quality was a lot lower. I got a plain manicure (meaning just one color) and there is something I don't like about about every single finger. So 0/10 for quality. If I'm going to treat myself to a manicure, I also want to feel pampered and the atmosphere did not lend itself to that at all.
