Not your standard Friday or Saturday night visit to this supper club. We went on a Sunday night, specifically for their breasted chicken. It wasn't very busy (deer hunting and Packer game) when we entered. It has a nice bar and equally nice dining area. We got drinks and complimentary pretzels; which have a slightly spicy finish. We ordered at the table and our waitress came to seat us just in time for the meal. Everyone we were with ordered chicken. I ordered the four piece, white meat ($9.75). It was hot, had great flavor and was juicy. The portion of potatoes and gravy was the right size. Dinner roll, coleslaw and cranberry sauce accompanied the meal. It was very good. A friend and I found the Sky View Club when a nearby restaurant's wait time stretched to ninety minutes. The Sky View is an undiscovered gem of a supper club. The old fashioned and Bloody Mary drinks were classic and nicely prepared. We had the prime rib and pan fried walleye. Both were very generous portions and excellent. Sky View has a nice bar area and outdoor seating overlooking a country view. It will be a great place to visit and sit outside on a warm evening. The salad bar offered the usual supper club fixings and included a really tasty loaded potato soup. dinner came with a choice of five different potatoes variations, soup and salad. Service was very prompt and the waitress friendly yet professional. We will be visiting again. The lack of crowds was a surprise for a classic supper club with very good food and prices lower than many others. The Sky View deserves a visit. read more

We have a group of friends that started a supper club circuit, so this was stop number three of the year. Definitely on the smaller side, which isn't always a bad thing. We went on a Saturday night around 6pm and it was pretty empty...not sure if that is normal or due to the other festivities going on in Kaukauna that night...but that was great for us! I, of course, gave their Old Fashioneds (sweet) a try and I thought they were great! Maybe not the very best I have had, but near the top! I ordered one of their pasta dishes for dinner...I know, I know, not really in the spirit of supper club dinners...with seafood in it. It was...ok. Way too much butter and sauce for my liking (and I am usually ok with lots of both!). The serving size was ginormous...so I would recommend splitting it with a friend...or know that you will have an extra meal for the next day:) Overall, I am glad we took the opportunity to try it out. I wouldn't say it is a "must go to" place, but, if you are like us and want to try out as many supper clubs as you can, it is certainly worth the visit:) read more

An old fashioned supper club I've been coming to since I was a youth. Everyone has their own opinions and mine is the Skyview Club has absolutely the best Perch fish fry of any I've ever had. What's even better is they do fish so well they offer it every night of the week. So awesome to not have to wait for Friday night to get that perch dinner. The fish is the biggest positive. Unfortunately there generally is a wait to be seated. You come in, register for a waitress and have a seat at the bar. You order from the bar and are summoned by your waitress when your food/table are ready. This is where your wait comes in and it seems at times the wait is artificially lengthened in hopes you may spend a little more at the bar. Generally not a problem for the people I go with but something to note if you're looking to get in & out of someplace relatively quickly. I've been here to many times to remember having gone with my parents as a child and now bringing my own family when we are near Kaukauna. I don't recall ever ordering anything other than the perch. read more

We had 3 couples meeting for dinner on Friday night. The Sky View Club is known for good fish and I felt like having fish. I ordered the deep fried haddock and my wife ordered deep fried shrimp. Both came with fries and a very unique coleslaw. My fish was cooked excellent and was very tasty. The fries were delicious and well prepared. The coleslaw was a sweet and sour, vinegar based salad. I prefer a creamy slaw usually but this slaw kinda grew on me. I wish my dinner came with more. I'll take that again. It was a very nice meal and the service was great too. read more

Wife and I went for the friday perch plate, wife had a steak. The meals were served hot , my fish was just okay and my wifes steak had no flavor but was very tender " tenderloin". Ordered 2 haddock plates, corn nuggets & mushrooms. Got no butter for fish . No rye bread. No flavor to fish. Expected bill to be $40, estimating on line menu prices, & planned for $8 tip. Wrong! Food came to $56 because their online prices didn't apply. Who knew?!? There was a $2 "To go charge " and $1.97 "Non-cash fee". So my $48 treat turned into a $64 fiasco. I've gone to Sky View since I was a child. Everything was always good. Until now. I won't be going back. Very disappointed. read more

The food was very disappointing. Steak was extremely small. Looked like a hamburger. We ordered it medium and came out well done. Almost looked like it was venison or a TV dinner steak. The Alfredo used to be amazing. Tonight it was very different and tasted like sauce out of a jar. They claim to have a salad bar now. It was just lettuce that looked very old, dressing, cucumbers and tomatoes. They had crackers but no cheese. Overall very disappointing and we won't be going back. read more

Another bad review solely for service. Arrived on a sunday evening with my family and there were not many people at tables, so it was not busy. We asked if we could sit on the patio for the view and the hostess said sure and that the waitress would be with us shortly. After 15 minutes the hostess came to bring us menus and said again the waitress would be with us shortly. After 20 minutes I went to the bar to get our drinks. After 30 minutes we decided to leave because no waitress ever came to our table. We saw inside that the waiteess knew where we were, but never came out. We left and I wrote to managemt to let them know of our poor experience and never neard back. Our supper club group will NOT be going to this restaurant. We went to anotherlace and the server greeted us before we even sat down. This other restaurant will be getting more business and good reviews. read more

We were craving a seafood dinner & had heard good things about this place. Checked with Siri & it was only a couple miles & a few minutes from my location. Started driving & it seemed like I was going to a location found in horror movies....oh, that's just my idea after living in cities with lots of lights I guess. I saw lots of stars in the sky...but I digress.......... Ordered a seafood platter to go & boy was it heavy! Was thrilled when we opened it & found there were at least 2 of everything so it was easy to share. Perch a bit small like they are nowadays, large piece of haddock, scallops, frog legs-yup, shrimp. Sweet cole slaw with a vinegar-not creamy-base which I hadn't had in ages. Choice of potatoes but we had to have good old fries which were hot & crispy. Yum!! Oh yeah, I think this meal was $17 only! Can't wait to get back to Wisconsin to take this scary drive into the boondocks for a fabulous meal. Interior was simple so I couldn't give it 5 stars. I'm biased maybe, coming from Vegas. read more

Seriously disappointed in this place. We had heard great things about this place...possibly they were true. Our issues are with the service. We arrived to a very busy restaurant. We understand a weight is necessary for quality and found a spot to have a glass of wine to wait....and wait...and wait...and wait. We saw people arrive long after us, receive seating. We decided to question why... Bad decision, the hostess was rude And far from professional. 90 minutes later no menu, no table, after being told about 30 minutes and" friends" being seated, we won't try this again. read more

Bar service was good - the pretzels are awesome! Everyone is so friendly. I had the baked chicken - it was delicious. My husband had the salmon and was cooked to perfection. This is a hidden gem. Highly recommend folks to check it out. read more

Just came back from dinner at Skyview...Food was Excellent, as always....The owner/bartender Gene is phenomenal, the wait staff are outstanding....They treat their customers like old friends...Always going above and beyond to make sure they're satisfied...Our little group of older ladies make a point of going there at least twice a month...The Prime Rib and Chicken dinners are the best around....If looking for good food and friendly atmosphere, you really should give this place a try...I'm guessing you'd come back again and again.... read more

We looked online first to make sure Skyview would still be serving, before we drove to Kaukauna. I had to work late, so we were relieved to find out they were serving until 9 pm. After awhile of standing in the entryway, we were approached by a man, asking if he could help us. He informed us that they only served until 8pm. We politely mentioned that it said 9pm online. He somewhat rudely and definitely unapologetically told us "not on holidays" and that they only serve until 8. Many places can at least offer "bar food" that's fried or appetizers. It was a Sunday, two days before the 4th of July and the bar was open. (Really have to close kitchen early, two days before a holiday?) Kitchen closing time aside, I have worked in food service and hospitality and would have certainly treated potential customers with an apologetic attitude. We would have come back, as the chicken was very good last time, but the total lack of customer service made me decide it is not going to be worth repeating. read more
