Cheap night's sleep. Don't come in expecting 5-star quality and you won't be disappointed. Outside looks a bit sketchy, like rapist motel-y, but our room was clean, smelled clean, and the bed and bathroom linens were clean and free of suspicious stains or rips. Room had a queen bed, microwave, mini fridge, and flatscreen TV. Free wifi as well...depending on the device it was spotty - my Nook color and phone kept dropping the signal, but my boyfriend's laptop kept it fine. There's about four routers that come up, and all had equivalent signal for us. The bed was a little on the hard side and the blankets were pretty thin, but surprisingly the mattress didn't bother me physically. If you're going to be around Providence and want to not break the bank, this place is pretty good. FYI: only supplied toiletry was a bar of soap...and we had to ask for two more pillows. Pillow situation was easily rectified at the desk when we asked for two more...and the toiletry issue was solved by a trip to the drugstore. read more

Was looking for cheap but clean place for 1 night. Room was newly renovated with inexpensive 80's modular furniture but it was new. Bath & room very clean. Surprised to see a small fridge & microwave. Very limited tv with no cable. Perspective is what you need here. If all you need is a no frills clean place to sleep and bathe then you wont be disappointed. Now the rub: no ironing board, no hair dryer, only 2 thin small towels (should at least provide 4 if they want to use that size), only 2 pillows (4 should be standard as many people use 2), an uncomfortable bed and no extra toilet paper beyond the half role left when we checked in. I'd also suggest extra hooks in the bathroom since there is zero room on the pedistal sink to put anything. As long as your prepared for this, you'll be fine. read more

Overall this place was fine for a road side motor inn, but seeing as they jacked up their prices to charge $145/night on Memorial Day Weekend, I'd expect a little better. The room itself was okay. AC worked well and bed looked clean. That said, I came home with a few bites that look like bed bugs. There was no WIFi access. Don't let the sign in the office fool you. There was also a nail sticking out of floor which I had the misfortune of stepping on. The bathroom wall hadn't been cleaned, with caked up dirt and stains. The towels were barely big enough to be considered bath towels. Again, all to be expected from a motor inn, but not when you're charging me as much as the Hilton. read more

I thought it was kind of strange when we were handed the tv remote with the key. The "lobby smells like a combination of mildew and Raid. This place makes Motel 6 look like the Ritz Carlton! There was only one wash cloth and two burlap towels. The beds are some kind of box spring-mattress combo. Floors so uneven you almost trip walking on them. The bathroom is so small, you have to step outside to turn around. No closet to hang anything up. And worst of all, NO COFFEE!!! Not even in the office!!! read more

Went online to find an inexpensive motel near Smithfield, RI. The reviews for this motel seemed "satisfactory", so I booked it for a weeks stay, ughhhh Went to check in and was greeted by a gentleman behind one of those bullet proof glass windows. He confirmed our stay for 6 night and pushed my key and the remote control for the tv under the glass. We entered the corner room and were greeted with an unpleasant musty smell. I was aware that this was not "The Ritz", so quickly suggested we get a can of Febreeze and a room freshener. On first appearance the room seemed decent, ie bathroom was clean, fridge and microwave, 2 double beds. As the days went by the flaws began to show. The plug on the sink was broken. So the sink would fill with water and you would have to lift the plug to get the water to drain. There was no clock in the room. There was a short of some kind in the wall between the bathroom and room. We would lose power and have to go into the bathroom and press the gcfi button. We only had 2 towels in our bathroom. When my husband went to ask for more, the same gentleman grabbed 2 towels, handed them to my husband, but didn't say a word. We asked for more pillows and received the same service, without a word. The rooms are only cleaned every other day. And I am pretty sure that all that was done was the beds were made, sheets were not changed. I know this because both beds had tears in the sheets and they were consistently there. When the rooms were "cleaned" the towels were removed, but were not replaced with the same number, mostly frustrating. We returned to our room after a day out to find our air conditioner not working, it was an EXTREMELY HUMID day. Husband went to the office to tell them. The same silent gentleman, reached down flipped a switch and we had air conditioner turned back on. Not a word was said, not an apology, nothing!!! We were getting to the end of the roll of toilet paper and had to ask for a new roll and with as much "hospitality" as we had received in asking for other items, the gentleman didn't say a word, just pointed to toilet paper stacked on the ice machine. We started noticing spiders, fairly large, in our room too which was about all I could take!! I know this may seem nit picking. And to be honest if it was just a couple of these things, it wouldn't have bothered me, but ALL of them combined made for a very disappointing stay. I will not be staying there again. read more

VERY Basic but reasonable for price. Clean modern rooms. Newly renovated rooms on small side Comes with fridge and microwave. No tables or chairs and not really room to put them. Wifi and cable but cable was very basic local stations. Wanted to see Fox news for debate but not available. Overall ok considering the price. read more

Was fine for a while.... Newly renovated...seemed clean.... Lots of police action in the parking lot..... second week..... Started noticing bites....itchy bites..... Thought it was a spider or something.... Maybe a pincher bug....Searched the room, and then, there it was..... Bedbugs..... Yep... BEDBUGS..... Not a lot at this point, but probably the start of an infestation unless they get a hold on it right away.... Ugh.... read more

There are no bells and whistles but if you're looking for a cheap, very clean hotel in Rhode Island (nearly impossible in the summer) then this is the place! It's great if you just need a place to lay your head. Plus the wifi is super fast. read more

If your tired and really need sleep then tough it thru.Beds like rocks.Ours had no top sheet or blanket.My teenager cleans better the floor hasn't seen a vacuum in probably over a month no Facebook to wash your face move the shower curtain over and the whole thing falls down on your head to look at yourself in the mirror you have to look through all the fingerprints and smudges.Alot of local plates there and partying going on read more

My husband and I booked a jacuzzi suite there last night for $170 with taxes. It was our 2 year anniversary and we wanted to do something special and romantic.We carried our stuff in and left immediately for dinner. After dinner we spent a little while checking out a festival that was going on down the street from the hotel. We got back to the room around 8pm and at that point my husband went to take a shower and shave as we both work 40 plus hours a week and often work weekends as well. He hadn't had a chance to take a shower before we got there. After he showered, it was somewhere around ten and he started filling up the jacuzzi tub. I would like to mention that my husband had taken the time to cover the entire outside of the jacuzzi in rose petals and light candles while it filled up with water. I had just sat down in the tub when my husband whose feet were in the tub but he had not sat down yet alerted me that was hair floating around in the water; black curly hairs and I'm a blonde. These weren't head hairs either, they were pubic hairs. I immediately jumped out the tub and we started to drain the water out. At that point after discovering pubic hair in our jacuzzi we decided to take a good look at the rest of the room.Our first concern was the bed since we had to sleep in it so we unfolded the covers and to our disgust found numerous pieces of long black hairs all over the sheets. They obviously had not been washed since the last guests and furthermore also had burn holes throughout! As we begun to take a look around we noticed that the walls were covered in what looked like flem and spit. Their were cow webs and/or spider webs with spiders in them in all the corners of the ceiling and the bathroom window was broken. There was a small hole in one the doors.At this point we knew we couldn't sleep there so we packed everything up we brought and loaded into the car parked outside. I even took the time to clean up after myself making sure that all the trash was picked up wiping down any areas crumbs were, no doubt I did more cleaning getting out then these people do before handing the keys to the next guest. We then went in the office to speak with the staff, as soon as we told the man the room was dirty and we found pubic hair in the tub he became belligerent telling us that he himself had cleaned that room just earlier this morning. We asked him to come see for himself which he did, as soon as he got in the room and we started showing him the walls the spit and cobwebs, he told us that wasn't here earlier today! He insisted that the room didn't look anything like that before like almost accusing us of spending our anniversary pouring dirt on walls spitting everywhere bringing hair to stick in the sheets. It was unreal! Once we had decided to leave we took pictures of everything and the more we looked the more gross stuff we found. There was a large red stain on the floor near the bed which looked like dried up puke. It was under the telephone stand so it wasn't like we would have noticed it upon check in. No one inspect walls when they enter a hotel, if we were missing a bed we would have noticed that but at first glance everything looked okay in the room. It wasn't until we settled in and started using the amenities like the hot tub that we discovered the filth. The walls had so much whatever it was on them if it was spit it would have taken spit from ten people to cover that amount of wall. The male staff even said we don't change the sheets after guests leave !!! What? That's a health code violation. The real kicker was even after finding all that in our room we weren't offered new sheets, we weren't offered someone to come clean the mess which at 11pm at night would have been ridiculous anyways but at least the offer and they wouldn't give us a refund. We weren't even in the room all night for more than 3 hours and half that was spent unpacking and packing back up. Our entire anniversary was totally ruined, we got back home after midnight and went right to bed. Now we will back to our 40 plus work routine, it will be months before we can get a night away together. I wouldn't stay in this place again if they paid me to stay and will be contacting the BBB and the health department. read more

Was at the Casino in RI, decided to stay over night. Called Expedia.com to find a room and they booked us here at the Skyview Motor Inn in Johnston. It was the very last room they said. Expedia charged $119. We get there and Skyview book us a different room for $136.So, it wasn't their last room after all. After we checked in, we went across the street to order some food. We then go back to the Inn to check out the room and find in the bathroom on the sink, some packet with blood on it. I took a picture of it. We then went back across the street to get our food. Went back to Skyview Motor Inn to eat and while we are eating we kill a giant moth. Once we finished eating our food, I proceeded to wash my hands in the bathroom sink. Something told me to check the towels before I wiped my hands. I flipped the towel over and find dried blood on the towel. I took a picture of that also. By then I have had it. Decided to check the bed for bed bugs or any other surprises. Went to the front desk and complained to the person who checked us in. I asked for his name, he did not want to provide one. He said because I'm getting refunded he doesn't have to provide me with his name. I asked for the owner or manager. He wouldn't give any information. So I took a picture of him as well. Unsanitary!
