So we got invited to a birthday party at SkyZone. I never did get a response when I emailed SkyZone after my first not great experience. I was there today as a guest of a wonderful 6 year old's birthday party. My friend paid for the "super" package for the 12 or so children. Our dedicated party "host" seemed overwhelmed and not interested in taking care of our little party goers. She left the ice cream on a shelf while she checked people in, instead of getting someone to put it in the freezer. We went to speak to a manager named Amanda at least twice because of the lack of service. She was nice enough but didn't seem too concerned about the multiple things that kept going wrong due to a lack of service. The "host" stood about 10 feet away from our precious 4-6 year olds and explained the rules to them. No one could hear her. She told us where we would be and then disappeared. No one heard her say that either so we all ended up all over. We were left to try to find our private party area where all kinds of people were coming and going. When we went to speak to the manager again, our party host was nowhere to be found. Some guests were rudely told they could not jump instead of being directed to where they needed to go. It was a bad experience and embarrassing for my friend. After another manager stepped in we were able to round up the party goers into our dedicated area. Despite having a court monitor, other kids kept invading our court. We had to continually point them out to the court monitor. Would it have been so difficult to post a sign "Private Party" to avoid the confusion. We adjourned to the party room where we were rushed in and out. As we were opening presents one SkyZone employee was swinging the picnic tables around to clean them, nearly knocking over some of the smaller kids. The next party walked in while we were still there. It was very disorganized and chaotic. The managers barely apologized. They just seemed annoyed that we were trying to keep things on track and in accordance with the "super" party package. Lastly, they forgot to serve our ice cream. We had to request it from the freezer. By the time it was retrieved, the party was over and most people had left. I think it would have been nice if the managers had taken a more proactive role in offering better customer service. The kids had a great time but I felt horrible for my friend. She just wanted what she had been promised when she booked the party. Over-promising and severely under-delivering is no way to do business. It makes me sad that my friend didn't get to fully enjoy the party, especially for the amount she paid. At no point was a discount offered, nor did anyone there take action to ensure things were running smoothly. Instead, we had to go to the managers over and over as things went wrong. Luckily my friend and the other parents rallied to keep the party fun and all the kids enjoyed themselves. At least four times kids from other parties were in our private area without the required wristband. Why was there no sign to tell people there was a private party? Why did the employees not immediately take care of problems as they happened? Why did the employees not seek help from the managers when things got out of hand? The concept of SkyZone is so good and people want this place to be successful. I myself want to love this place but it just keeps letting me down. One has to wonder if the level of service is so low because there is nothing else like this place around. Maybe if a similar business were to enter this market, then they might show more interest in their customers? My guess is that they just don't care to develop loyal customers because at this moment they don't have to. Had a freeeeaaaakin' Blast! Where else can an adult yell, jump around, and totally abandon all dignity and self respect? SKYZONE! The adult recess.... I brought my niece and her bf here and it cost us $51 for (3)1 hour slots. This place is super clean and well organized. You can make your appointment and sign your waivers before you come or you can come in and do this at the computers to the left as soon as you walk in. It was Saturday and without an appointment it took us an hour to get a slot, so we sat around and talked about pre-teen stuff...bonding ya' know! They give you these cute little orange socks with grips on the bottom to walk around in, nice little souvenir. They have dodge ball, the areas are like this huge mega sized moon bounce where everyone can jump, and they have a basketball dunk.There's also a small area for the little ones to jump as well. I did everything (except basketball)-- my favorite was the tank of foam squares. So the girls dare me to flip into the sea of squares, BUT I had quite a time getting out. I couldn't balance myself; there's nothing to hold on to. I was grabbing, panting, waddling around in the balls trying to get out quickly. Pulling myself up by my own body weight....uh yeah ok. I was the laaaast one out the squares as I gasped and reached for dear life, the socks came off my feet as I threw my foot up over the deck..... lol sooo shameful. All the 30 and over folk were clapping and cheering as I rolled over on my stomach and crawled from off the deck. A few moms who normally would probably just sit there and watch their kids take a dive hopped in line to flip too! We gave each other High 5's on the way out. Hey why should kids have all the fun?! This place is a GREAT TIME and they stay open till 10pm on Saturdays. If you're looking for an activity that the whole family can enjoy while getting some exercise SKY ZONE IS IT! read more

So much fun, separate kids area, reasonably priced, cool foam pit, and a great way for the kiddos to burn off all of that energy. I recommend making a reservation online, and printing/signing a waiver beforehand because it gets pretty packed! read more

Just wanted to update the public on what truly is going on at skyzone columbia.First let's hit the point of how they don't trust there staff to clean efficiently yet I was under the impression that it's a manager's duty to one oversee and also step up and clean as well not here Managers just bark orders .Secomd let's talk about the cleaning of the place especially during covid 19 the place is not small to say the least this place is dirty !!!!!!. Facemask is another issue as an employee at Skyzone I am to enforce wearing a mask,yet when I brought it up to a group of folks they ran to the manager, and of course I got reprimanded for looking out for my health and the health of others ,these manager's at Skyzone are so stuck on losing a customer they will literally cater to anything the customer wants . My daughter and I came here for the first time on Saturday 3/20. The website or Groupon said something about social distancing. Once we entered the establishment, apparently that went out the window. I was expecting it to be a little more organized during this pandemic. We didn't stay long because there were just too many people. I took my son and two of his friends here for his birthday back in October. I know, I should've written this review a LONG time ago, but I've been a little busy. The boys had a blast, they slam dunked, jumped into a sea of foam bricks over and over again, spent time free jumping, and their favorite was dodge ball. I wanted to join in with them so badly! The staff were all young, friendly and helpful. I purchased the Skymania package for them which includes 90 minutes of jump, 2 slices of pizza, and one bottle of H2O for $19/kid (slip resistant socks are $1 extra and they have to be issued by Sky Zone, but you can reuse previously purchased socks). Thank goodness I fed these boys because the pizza was worse than school lunch! And they cut each slice in half to make it into two. I didn't force them to partake in the pizza, lol. There is a concession stand where snacks and drinks are available for purchase (looks similar to the hang out spot from Saved by The Bell) I'll definitely be back.They offer adult fitness classes such as core and aerobics. This place is awesome. We booked jump time 11-1130 and it wasn't crowded at all. My 2 and 4 yr old had a blast and so did my husband and I. Great workout and fun. We would've tried this place sooner if we know it existed. We will become regulars here for sure. Tips: wear comfortable clothing (workout clothes) Leave as much extra stuff in the car, they have lockers and coat hangers but the lockers are small and the coat rack was full. Took my 4 year old here for my 11 year old cousin's bday party. We arrived around 4:15pm and the line was out of the door!! We thought since we were attending a bday party we probably didn't have to stand in the line, which we didn't. The hostess of the party was a staff member named Amili (hope I spelled her name right). She was EXCELLENT!! Other staff members we came in contact with were friendly and helpful from the trampoline attendants to the rock climbing wall to the concession stand. The pizza they order for bday parties was REALLY GOOD. It's like an assembly line though, with the parties. They have a basket for the kids to put their shoes in so you don't have to rent lockers. Parents fill out waiver forms (if you didn't do it ahead of time online before the party). The kids go jump and play for an hour then you go to the party room, eat pizza, sing happy birthday, eat cake and GET OUT of the party room! Lol! Now to the not so good stuff- The main reason for the 2 stars and what really made me VERY upset is because we were told that there can only be one jumper per trampoline square. However if you have 20 trampoline squares and 60 kids clearly you're going to have more than one jumper per square!! I get that the rule is for safety reasons but it definitely needs to be revisited or ONLY allow the equal amount of jumpers to trampoline squares at a time!!!! Maybe allow jumpers to jump for about 10 minutes at a time and when your times up go to another section like the rock climbing wall, the foam pit or the obstacle course, if the kids don't want or are too young to go to other sections then they wait until their "jump" turn comes around again. Another option too, have a section for toddlers. But I figure they are NEVER going to implement something like my suggestion because it's all about MONEY! It's too restrictive of a rule for a popular business like this and they would lose money. So with that being said, I will NOT be back. read more

I have taken my son here a few times to jump and every time we have gone he has had a total blast! There are lots of fun activities/jumping zones for the kids (or adults if you like jumping!), the place is kept clean, and the employees are always very friendly. Recently my husband and I booked our sons birthday party at this location and the woman who helped us truly went above and beyond! She explained everything in all of the different packages to us, made recommendations, and gave us a complete tour of the facility. The process was very easy and I felt like the packages offered provide a lot of value for what you pay for. If you have your birthday party there SkyZone will even give you full color invitations which include directions (also it's on card stock) and envelopes for free which we found to be a nice touch. I will update with our party experience after the big day but right now I have to say that this location is awesome and I would highly recommend bringing your kids here to jump around and blow off some steam! read more

I was really looking forward to writing this review, but all of the adults have taken the good jokes :( I was brought here for an early birthday outing. When I heard I was coming here, my main objective was to leave without injury (set the bar high). Much to my surprise, I had a really good time and got a little workout in too. The best part is the normal jumping area. The dodge ball is a close second. Next, is the basketball courts, and finally, the flipping into the cushions. The flipping into the cushions is cool, but you may want to avoid if you're under a time constraint because it takes forever to get out of there. Definitely go out and enjoy yourself. You'll be glad you did. Don't feel out of place, as there are plenty of kids to linger around and pretend like you came there with. read more

The kids had a great time as always. We just moved to this area and this location is a lot less crowded than others like Waldorf. There were some issues. Even though we have been here numerous times we had to fill out another waiver. After we were done, we were scheduled for a 6 pm jump when it was 610 615 by the time we were finished. Also, there were times where it seemed unsafe as kids weren't adhering to some rules like only one person on a trampoline. It didn't seem there were any employees around. When it says online that they have limited booking.. that means it will be busy. There was a high school there when we went during the week. Good for them, but man it was busy! The staff did section off a location for the younger kids (we brought a couple 5 year olds) and that was perfect, cause the high schoolers were jumping all over the place and were being constantly told to stop. Then the foam zone... ok really with the alternating lines? There are five jumping trampolines here. They only alternate jumps row 1,3,5 then 2,4. It wouldn't be a big deal if everyone could pull themselves out - but people kept taking photos, being silly, and generally being nonathletic. But they were having fun... so all good. I wish there was more opportunity to have everyone go at once (all five lanes one shot). But I am sure they have some horror story as to why and all the liability that comes along with this type of thing. The restrooms were clean, there was one handsanitizer as you came out of the trampolines. I wish there had been more. There are lockers (bring quarters). And you need to wear jump socks - they offer them for $1 a set. The staff was fun and friendly and my kid enjoyed talking with them. They were friendly. I wish this was closer to Annapolis, maybe we need to open one here! read more

We went on a Friday around 11:30-1. It was clean and the staff were friendly. The kids enjoyed and I enjoyed. Some of the attractions were closed so there wasn't a lot to do. They need to update the court area, it looks a bit old and parts of the material were coming up. It's smaller than some other sky zones but it was fun. read more

First let me say I have been to skyzone before and had an enjoyable experience. Honestly, I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it prior. Well I went back for the second time and was very disappointed. They recently changed the rules where you can only jump depending on your age range. So if u just don't want to sit & look, jumping with your kids, may not be an option because of your age and section. In addition, as we all know there are numerous trampoline places and they make you buy socks of course. But if you have socks from other locations that are similar to Skyzone, guess what you can't jump in them. Nothing is listed on the website about age requirements and to be ahead of the game complete your online waiver. read more

I've been to many skyzones and this is probably my least favorite from an adult standpoint. Few if any charging places, benches instead of chairs, and there is no parent area. Which means that you are in the thoroughway of all the kids. It's just constant kids running in front of you to get back and forth to different areas. It was a rainy day the day we came so it was extra crowded. Not sure if they enforced the timesnof when kids needed to stop or not but some of the areas were super crowded. For kids it had a few more areas than the normal trampoline and Dodge ball. read more

This place is awesome for adults or kids. We took my sister for her birthday and we had a ball. There was a pretty big crowd for a Sunday afternoon but there was a wait of only about 20min or so. They aren't overbearing with their rules and you are able to snap pics while you jump. The food is a little expensive but there are several places in Columbia to grab a bite afterwards. read more

This place is awesome! I came here last weekend with my niece. Her birthday was Monday March 5th. Me and her both got the chance to jump around for about 1 hour. It's pretty much all the time you need they have options where you can jump longer but I would feel that's only necessary if you're having a party with a bunch of kids. That also was one of my concerns, can I just bring one child there? The answer is yes you absolutely can she/he would fit right in even if there is a party going on. They have pizza for sale at the front Gatorade soda water. Definitely a place to go to if you have a little one. read more

Before I begin my review I would like to first say thank you to the GM, Terry, for being so kind and gracious. We decided to host our sons 3 y/o bday celebration at Sky Zone. 1 hour prior to the party I received a call from the staff stating there was an issue with the restrooms and my options were to cancel or reschedule... Pretty much leaving us under the impression that there were no alternatives. Once we arrived I spoke with Terry and he apologized for his staffs behavior and poor communication and promised to comp us for our inconvenience. Great. During our party time the toddlers jumped and became extremely bored. Why? Because the staff assigned to my sons private court did not attempt at entertaining them. They stood around as if there were in school gossiping about the latest trends. Ok, we then began to move into the party room. After asking our host on several occasions to adjust the temperature we were left sweating and miserable from the room full of heat. As the party came to an end, we were handed the bill and told we had 2 minutes to get out before the next party. After requesting the host and her help to assist us with loading our gifts to the cart, she quickly threw the items and went on her way. All in all, I do not recommend this place to host events to anyone. The best part was receiving an inconvenience discount for the dysfunctional restrooms... The customer service and employees attitude towards paying customers is not the type of behavior I can truly recommend. These kids need to undergo serious training. read more

Came here with my family a few weeks ago, we had gotten a groupon for it and it all ended up being about $20 for one person. Sky zone itself is pretty fun, all the activities are entertaining and you can easily spend hours there getting lost in the fun. They rent lockers too if you want to put your stuff in a secure area and they also sell food at the location so that is convenient. The only thing I did not like was their bathrooms, they were dirty and I had to step over toilet paper and seat covers that were sprawled on the floor to get to a bathroom stall. Wanted to check it out before considering planning a birthday party here. Glad I did as I would not give them any more business than the 32 dollars I spent today. Top to bottom, bad experience; always due to poor management and training. Wrong information given over the phone/text re hours, kids (employees) standing around rather clueless to kids in front of them getting hurt, checked out/disinterested employees, lack of signage or directions for first time customers, double charge for socks because cashier can't calculate a head count. I heard in advance about the gustapo rules here where all you hear is "no!" repeatedly. That was not a problem but the loud yelling at the backs of small children to put on their stickers after they've entered the tramplolines is ridiculous. One of the 15 employees you pass on the way in should tell you how this all goes down. Get a process. Unfortunately I will judge all of the rest of the locations based on this one experience and not recommend to anyone because I have zero interest in giving this place another dime or my time. I know they're a franchise but this is what happens when you give customers a really bad experience. This place (Columbia MD) needs help. I wish them luck. read more

Stay tuned, faithful followers, my next review will be either the cardiac center at a local hospital or the closest gym. Who would've thought that jumping up and down could be so exhausting? The first five minutes... oh, I was living the dream. All those years that I lived with those fascists (parents) who oppressed me with their "Where are we gonna put a trampoline in this apartment?" I felt like my soul was finally free. Then about ten minutes after that, I felt like my soul was taking freedom to a different level...like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" escape from my body level. Four year old: "Daddy, why are you not jumping?" Me: "I think I'm having a heart attack, baby. The car will be yours soon. Do you remember how to get back to DC?" Seriously though...It was very fun. We got there as soon as they opened Friday. No lines whatsoever. There were maybe 10 people in the whole place. We had a lot of fun jumping up and down the courts. By the time we left at noon, the place was packed. If you are even slightly out of shape, you will be tired after about a half hour. Want a workout? Jump into the foam pit and race from one end to the other. I finally understand how those people on American Gladiators felt when they did The Eliminator at the end of the show. Four year old: "Daddy, I beat you!" Me: "You sure did. Now get my phone out of the locker and call 911." read more

I advise you not limit the fun that can be had jumping up and down on multiple trampolines by indicating it only a venue for kids' birthday parties b/c that would be totally untrue -- fun can be had at SkyZone for everyone and the party packages fit the bill! read more

I decided to throw my daughter's 11th birthday party at SkyZone in Columbia. I purchased the Extreme Air Package. that allowed for 35 jumpers, 7 large pizzas, a birthday cake and a goody bag for each child. A week before the party, I was amazed that no one contacted me to go over the party details. Isn't that the protocol of any birthday venue to contact the customer to discuss the party details? The only time I received a call, it was to confirm my party. When I asked about the cake, they told me I should've ordered it 7 days ago and that I was too late. I ended up buying my own cake at Wegmans. Who wants to spend more money when the cake was part of a package? What's a party without cake!! THE SHOW MUST GO ON at my expense! We were also promised goody bags. It was a shock that my party host informed me that they no longer give out goody bags at the conclusion of the party. In place of the bags, they gave us t-shirts instead. I was disappointed of this change, and bought 2 bags of candy to put in the goody bags. It looked very foolish for me to tell each kid to hold out their hands for their candy which a lot of it fell on their dirty floor. What could have solved all of this, was for a party host to contact me a week out to confirm party details. I paid $900.00 for the Extreme Air Package, and there were items that I did not receive. If you paid this kind of money for any party, you want everything that was in the package! I know that these party venues are sticklers for time, since this is a business. A hour in a party room just isn't enough time. When we got the boot, my guests still were eating cake. I feel that party time should be extended to15-30 minutes extra. The party hosts were very hospitable, and professional. All my guests did have a good time. But for the amount of money paid for the experience, it isn't worth it. read more

Toddler Time is from 9:30-11:00 Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's $5 per person plus $1 for a pair of special socks. I paid $12 for a great morning of fun with my almost 3 year old. It was a lot busier at times than I expected, but not over crowded at all. We were able to jump with room to spare. Tips-fill out the waver and print it first. You will have to do an electronic one (located when you first walk in on the left) once you arrive if you don't. -parking is sparse so be prepared -there are 3 sections:big jump arena, jump pit area and 'dodge ball' court. -you have to wait your turn for the pit and it is a very short turn. The staff manages this well. -the dodge ball court was our favorite. They give the kids a ton of soft balls to throw around. It was great, but not a large space. -no outside food or drinks. -bring a quarter for a locker. The staff is young (18-20ish?) but very nice. They seem to understand that your 2 year old doesn't understand all of the rules and you're doing your best. This was a perfect winter activity. First timer and it won't be the last time! I came here Thursday night with my two girlfriends for the 8:00PM trampoline aerobics class. When you first walk in the area is clean and fresh looking--they did just open. The place is hopping though with tons of little minions running and jumping around in pink socks. Super cute watching at the families mingle as their kids go buckwild on the trampolines for "open jump." Anyways, when you walk in you are directed to sign a waiver. You then go from signing your life away to paying for your class and socks. For the first class it is $7.00 and socks are an additional $1.00. We didn't wait long for the class to start and totally wasn't completely (mentally) ready for the amount of up and downs in the air I was about to go through. We started out easy (this is when I realized that my knees are a bit queasy and need to be strengthened) and by the end of the HOUR WORKOUT, we were dying. Sweaty, dizzy and hot. The perfect workout. I forgot the women's name who taught it but she was great. read more

I didn't care for Sky Zone at all. I probably would have liked it better had I not been to a Rollie Pollies first. I came here for a friend's daughter's birthday party; it was a very rushed experience. First of all, it was extremely crowded, and the kids had to stand in line just to do things like jump in the foam blocks. With such a limited amount of time allotted for your party, it seems a huge waste of money for your kid to spend half the time in lines. It just screamed greed to me, that the people who run the place let it saturate with people like that. The system they have in place when entering (waivers, socks) wasn't organized or easy to understand if you haven't been there before, and it's another time suck to have to fill those things out after waiting in line. The cake/present opening part is extremely rushed; the birthday girl didn't even have time to open her gifts. The staff is polite and helpful, that's the positive of the place. Not a fan overall. I would choose Rolie Pollies over Sky Zone any day. Sure, it's smaller, but they block out time for your specific party, anybody can play, no lines and more time for fun. read more
