Slowest service ever. I waited 20 to place a to go order for 1 item. Not many vegetarian options and def no healthy veg options.

1 star because I can't leave zero stars! Do not eat at this place, your kids won't even like this place at all!!!! We stayed here during Covid and on our last day we wanted a quickie breakfast before checkout and we got the gravy biscuits, eggs chorizo and the French toast sticks with tater tots. It's was absolutely disgusting and the kids didn't take more than one bite! My kids usually LOVE all things breakfast related, so this was actually shocking that they didn't like it. Don't order here, don't order for your kids here. It's a waste of money. If Legoland hotel is going to only have one place open for convenience, you'd think they would have decent food!!!!! read more

The people of Carlsbad are super nice! Some local old ladies visit every morning to shit into giant containers in order to serve us all a bunch of hot garbage for money. The one star goes to the kind staff who while charming ...need to quit serving us old lady shit for money. The food here.... is old lady shit... they sell you for money. read more

My 5-year-old daughter and I had a great lunch here. We were 1 of only 2-3 families/groups in the place as the only the Legoland Aquarium was open that day. They have Legos for the kid's to play with. I wish that every restaurant offered that. My daughter made friends with other kids as they built a Lego staircase together. The Lego decor everywhere was really cool and the fact that it entertained the kids was great. There were also T.V.s playing a Lego movie in the restaurant. Some might think it was Lego overload, but we enjoyed it. I had a pretty amazing California Cobb salad. It was very filing and exactly what I needed. My daughter got a chicken tenders kid's meal with fruit. She wasn't able to eat everything, but we did bring home some leftovers. Our total was $25 before tip, which for a theme park restaurant, I thought was pretty good. read more

So many gnats hovering around the beer taps. No rubber stoppers. And the staff act like they don't even see them. I question if these taps have ever been cleaned. I can't even continue drinking my 10 dollar beer thinking about this nasty-ness. Understaffed. Slow service. 8 dollar hot dog is just nasty. Hallway outside the buffet and skyline restaurant smell like puke. Only semi bright spot was the carne asada tacos. They were actually good. 3 tacos no rice no beans no chips and $14. Well. We enjoyed the delicious cocktails (although they were a tad small and $13 each) and they actually had alcohol in them! Our server was friendly and attentive enough, and our girls enjoyed their food. Our one girl said their fries were "perfect." I ordered the Cobb salad without chicken and the server offered extra avocado, but when it came, it didn't seem extra, so she brought more. My husband got the chicken salad and he enjoyed it. Good amount of food for the price. The Oreo cheesecake was a small slice, but very tasty. We had to wait a half an hour for the seat at 7:30 on a Sunday night. We would return should we stay here again. read more

Great experience. We were welcomed right away. The patio wasn't staffed I don't think but we came from Chicago so we were ready to eat outside. They did not make this an issue. Brently is about the friendliest most professional server I have encountered and that says a lot coming from someone "in the business"...I'm pretty critical. Food was good, I had the lettuce wraps. We ate lunch here after checking out of the Legoland Hotel and before heading home. I'm so glad we skipped eating inside the park to eat here instead! The food was excellent (I had the turkey club, my husband had a burger and the kids has nachos), the service was great, and they had BEER! If you've been to Legoland before and found yourself wishing for beer, you'll understand why that meant so much to us :) I also really loved the sweet potato fries and dipping sauce that came with them. It was pretty quiet in there during lunch since everyone was having fun at Legoland, so it was a great time to go! We will definitely dine here again whether we stay at the hotel or not (I think it's worth leaving the park briefly for lunch here if you aren't staying at the hotel!) read more

We stayed at the Legoland Hotel and ate dinner at the Skyline Cafe last night. The decor (mini figures along the walls, a whole Lego "skyline" for the kids to explore) completely enthralled my children while my husband and I chatted and relaxed. The restaurant was fairly empty compared to the Bricks Buffet right across the hall in the Legoland Hotel; which is pretty sad considering the relative quality of the food. The Skyline Cafe may cost more, but I'd take quality over quantity any day. I ordered the Blackened Seared Ahi and my husband had the scallops. I order Ahi whenever I get the chance and am very picky about it. This was one of the best rare Ahi steaks I have ever eaten; I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfectly prepared; pink and tender on the inside and well seasoned on the crispy outside. I asked our server to please compliment the chef, which I rarely do. My kids' meals were fine (mac n cheese/ chicken tenders)- nothing dazzling, but they were totally satisfied. My husband said his scallops were amazing. I also ordered a dirty martini. Great bartender. He did the cocktail justice. We are Legoland pass holders and my family and I plan to eat here often. read more

This place is just as busy and crazy as the entire Hotel haha! The one thing I do like about Skyline Cafe is their really awesome Lego Skyline Display that's on the right of the restaurant! My family and I got to sit right next to it and the entire time of our dinner, I was looking at how detailed it was . It was awesome! But for the restaurant portion.. I think this place is OK. I've had a little bit of everything since we all usually try each others orders. The buffalo wings were pretty good. Tangy and Spicy and the skin was perfectly crunchy and the meat was soft and tender! I had the soup of the day.. I wish I could remember the name of it. It was ok. A little salty for me. My husband got the steak nachos as said it was absolutely delicious. I thought those were pretty good too. Almost everyone at the table got the Skyline Burger. My dad literally was shoving it down my throat, wanting me to try it. It kinda reminded me of a Krabby Patty from Spongebob. It was Tasty. The one thing I thought that was yummy was the aoli sauce that came with the burgers. That was delicious. I don't usually eat fries but man.. I couldn't stop eating my dads fries with the sauce lol. Over all.. this place is OK . It's the only place in the hotel that you can eat at other than the Buffet and the little bar when you first get into the hotel. It's just as forgiving as all the other parents here with crazy kids LOL! read more

I want to give a pretty good review. But I just can't. We came in after a day at legoland. Seat yourself. Sat by the cool skyline LEGO display. Kids ordered their kids meals. Kids enjoyed their meals. Food was ok. I had the BLT. there was onions on the BLT?? About 2 hours later I became very nauseous at my hotel. Since it was the only thing I ate since 9 am this morning, I have to blame the BLT or the fries or the water. Not going to go into detail but I have visited the bathroom a few times. And this is not our first time having bathroom problems from legoland. The last time I thought it was the buffet or the poke appetizer, but now I'm not so sure. read more

My daughter and I sat down for lunch and I ordered the Cob salad with blue cheese on the side and I got the Cob with the house dressing tossed. I hated to send it back but I did. The second time I got it back it had Blue cheese dressing drowning the salad. I tried to eat it to be polite but it just was too much dressing. I sent that back and ended up eating the leftover chicken nuggets off my child's plate. By the way those were delicious. What I don't get is there was only one table in the restaurant beside ours, so there really was no reason to make mistakes like that to waste our time. As I write this they just sent me a third salad and I told them it wasn't necessary. I just won't eat here again. I must say the waitress was very nice but I feel if she noticed there was a mistake she should never brought it to me. Had dinner here last night. They said 15 minute wait, turned into 45 minute. They also said 10 to 15 min wait on food, took 35 min. I ordered a burger, it was well done and over cooked. I had a long hair on my fries, told the female waiter, she finally after multiple requests, removed off the final bill. I did get the burger redone, the fries were new & fresh, burger was just reheated! Horrible food & service! Never again will I eat here! read more

My family have eaten here every time we've gone to Legoland (four times now), and I was looking forward to giving them a 5-star review after this visit. But whoa -- what did they do to my favorite dish, the Seared Scallops? What used to be a well proportioned dish with decent sized scallops has become an embarrassing shadow of its former self. Please raise the price if you have to, but restore the scallops to their original size and glory. Thank goodness the salmon with risotto is still a wonderful dish, but I can't give this place a 5-star review until they fix their Seared Scallops dish! read more

The wait was super long even after 9pm. The wait for food was extremely long - 45 minutes after ordering - my $14 salad was drenched in ranch dressing and I asked for light dressing. All in all, it was fine if you are ok with getting your kids to bed at 10pm with the wait and the slow service. The wait staff is by far Junior level. Ok came here on the way to Legoland for lunch since Bricks was closed. The service here is good but the food is average to below average. Calamari and Artichoke appetizer: just ok. Overly deep fried dish, too overdone actually. Contained way more artichoke than calamari. Just average dish. Chicken sandwich: not good at all. Dry chicken with overly mustardy sauce. Didn't like it all. I also didn't like the ciabatta bread. No good overall. Turkey club: Hubs ordered this. He thought it was very average. Kids Hotdog: I tasted this and the hot dog was juicy. My son only ate about 1/4 of it so if that tells you something. The food is not the best. We were here for convenience so I wasn't expecting much of anything. Overall 2/5 stars. read more

The food here is probably some of the best you will find at the hotels but the service is awful. The waitress was slow, "forget" several requests (water, sauce etc) to which I chalked up to being overwhelmed but then when it came time to request a discount for our annual pass membership (20%) or because we are repeat guests of the hotel ($10 off 50) her attitude showed and she made a big deal about having to get her manager. So I asked to speak to the manager who was useless and ineffective which explained the overall lack of customer service at this restaurant. I honestly feel like they think because they made it so hard to leave the resort they can treat people awful. Word to the wise go to one of the other restaurants their food isn't as good but you won't have to be treated like an inconvenience. read more

I'm giving this five stars. You may ask if I'm crazy. "Surely," you say, "he's had better food than this casual dining in a Legoland hotel." Yes. I've had better food. I've had better service. But for what this is and where it is, this is five-star dining all the way. If you're in the park and looking to sit down and rest, have quality food, and good service, there is no other option. My wife really enjoyed her margarita. The beer selection was interesting. My salad was fresh and unique. I'm sure there is pretty good food inside Legoland, but I'm certain it would be worth your while to step out of the park and have lunch at this place. Yikes. I don't know if I can say they're understaffed. Maybe 4 other tables at the restaurant. Took 30 minutes for our food. The nachos weren't hot by the time we got it. Pizza cheese was over cooked and hard and chewy. They forgot the extra sour cream we requested. Nobody could really answer my question regarding how much longer our food was going to take. Our guess was that the chef never made up and everyone else was in the back trying to figure out how to make the food people ordered. Ha! But I gave an extra star for the free dessert we received for the inconvenience. Although, for future reference... It's always better to give a customer a head's up if an order is going to be delayed that much. Otherwise, you're in for some really cranky and hungry diners! read more

Okay, first off realize that this is a restaurant in a hotel that is connected to a theme park... Once you have that in mind, the meal was actually pretty good, and not too expensive. I had a steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and it only cost $22. Now for a $20 steak in a theme park, this was amazing!!! I like the little touches they added such as using multi-colored cauliflower and baby carrots. They could have gotten away with throwing steamed corn on the plate and calling it a meal, but they didn't! Now, the service. The server, Nicole, was friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond the call of duty. I asked if they had Coke Zero and she said that she could make it happen. She returned with one and I didn't think twice about it until I asked for another one. It was at this point that I saw her leaving the restaurant and going to the neighboring restaurant to get the flavor of soda I asked for. Needless to say, I would have accepted a "sorry, we don't have it here," but she didn't say that, or even mention the trouble she went through to get me my drink. The location, service and food will guarantee that I will return! read more

We ate dinner here since it's very conveniently situated in the Legoland hotel. We started off with the steak avocado flatbread for us all to share and it was good. It has some chipotle ranch on it but it wasn't at all spicy and didn't taste like ranch either. Just added some yummy flavor to the flatbread. There were little pieces of steak all over it. I liked it like that. I ordered the rosemary lemon chicken and I didn't think it was very lemony. It's served with mashed potatoes and veggies, but the mash was cold. My husband got the dragon burger with sweet potato fries and he says it was cooked well with great flavor. We got the kids the chicken breast and that had good flavor and was served with fries and fruit. The service was good. I just didn't love my food and really hate it when food is served cold. We may try them again next time we come out. read more

We ate here twice during our Legoland resort stay. First let me say, boy is it convenient! There was never a wait for a table and it was literally down the hallway from our kingdom themed room. The restaurant was clean, the service was fantastic on our first visit (a Thursday night) and average on the second night (a busy Friday). The first visit I ordered steak and avocado tacos, husband had a gigantic fancy burger and we split a side of truffle (the fries though!?!?!) Our kids had a couple pizzas, chicken strips and a grilled cheese. The kids meals were great portions. They came with a side of fruit and my younger two could have easily shared the chicken strips, but I'm glad they didn't because I was able to have a bite and they were really good! In fact we all loved our food. The second visit we came with the grandparents after they arrived for the upcoming birthday weekend. We had a mixture of things, flatbreads, salads, burgers and we also ordered the bruschetta appetizer. Everyone liked their food again, although I did like my tacos better than my flatbread if I'm nitpicking. :p My husband and I were both honestly shocked at how much this place exceeded our expectations. We really planned on spending a ton of money all weekend for mediocre food, but in the end the quality of the food at the cost totally balanced out! read more

Nachos were bad (cheese was barely melted). The sandwiches were mediocre. We ordered a meal for our son and it only came with a hamburger, no fries or anything. On top of that ... the place probably had 5 other table of people and they took about 45 minutes to bring out our food. The drinks were very watered down also. Ate at the Skyline Cafe today for lunch. Online menu said they had BBQ Chicken Flatbread, but this was sadly not on the menu. We ordered a Flatbread called the CBT. What came was an oblong pizza with skimpy toppings. Thick, doughy crust. We asked the server if this was flatbread, and he said yes. If you want flatbread, do not order it from the Skyline Cafe, as it is thick crust pizza. I have eaten here many times over the years and this was definitely not what I have come to expect at the Skyline Cafe. Also, be aware the online menu posted is out of date and does not reflect the menu in the restaurant. A sad disappointment in dining at the Skyline Cafe today. read more

My son and I arrived here after a very long 8 hr drive and we're seated right away by very friendly staff. My 8 yr old doesn't eat typical "kid food" like pizza and chicken tenders so it was great to order fresh hummus with veggies and warm naan! I had the tacos l, Cobb salad and a margarita and they all were delicious. Prices are a bit more since your at legoland hotel but worth the convenience and fun atmosphere. Look forward to going back. Mixed reviews on this place. GREAT decor and the food was better than the Bricks buffet. BUT they were seriously understaffed! We walked in and tried to find a clean table... LOTS of empty tables but all were dirty. We flagged down one of the servers & the first guy said he will "try" to get one cleaned up. I'm thinking that's not a great first impression so I will TRY to remember to leave him a tip after our meal! 10 minutes later we were still waiting for a table to get cleaned. A waitress finally came over and cleared one of the tables and got us menus. She was nice enough and was pretty much the only one who looked like she gave a damn... but it didn't feel like the table was all that clean. But oh well we were starving! Hubby had the burger, my son had Mac & cheese, & I had the turkey sandwich. It did take a while to get our food but my son was entertained by all the mini Lego city scene and all the Lego characters on the walls. Well done on the decor! The food finally came and surprisingly, everything tasted pretty good. But due to the lack of workers, it took a long time to get drinks refilled & our check. Bottom line, they need to work on scheduling more people to work on a weekend! Oh and clean the damn display glass where they have the Lego city scene... Pretty standard fare, kind of dinerish. I recommend sitting outside where it is a bit quieter. Inside is so noisy you can barely hear yourself think. Remember, this is at the legoland hotel so there will be SO MANY KIDS running around. It was a great for my toddler-aged nephews but as an adult...yikes! Prices were reasonable. Food was ok.
