Stopped by Skyline Chili in the Clifton area of Cincinnati. When you arrive, there is a parking lot off to the side reserved for the restaurant. When you walk into the restaurant, you'll have the option to sit at the bar or a table. I ordered the 3-Way which is the signature dish and includes steaming spaghetti covered with their secret recipe chili topped with a mound of shredded cheddar cheese. The dish was okay and definitely something you should try when in Cincy. The chili was more like a bolognese sauce. If you are in Cincinnati, I recommend trying Skyline Chili. I'm not sure if I will eat this again, but I'm glad I tried it.

Skyline chili is an institution in this city of Cincinnati and I had to try it. I am a personal fan of chili and this one is truly unique. It is flavored with either cinnamon or cloves or something to that effect.. I can't tell. However it is very different. I got the spaghetti with chili and a mountain of shredded cheese and the hot dog that is loaded with the same. What an experience! They had an open kitchen and I got to see how the food was assembled. Fun! Casual. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Service was so quick! We were looking for an easy lunch and found it. We got to sit at the counter and watch them make the food. Our food was out quick and nice and hot! The inside has a decent amount of seating, sitting at the counter is the most fun in my opinion. Excited to go again.

I was quite surprised to hear that Cincinnati actually has its own special chili so had to check it out on a trip. The famous place to go to was Skyline Chili so that's where we went. Actually ordered the food to go so we could just have it from home, and no regrets. Chili came steaming hot and quite a large volume of it as well. Turned out the specialty is actually chili on spaghetti which is surprising! We ordered the small order of the spaghetti and there was still quite a lot in there! It's called the 3-Way (spaghetti covered with secret-recipe chili and topped with a mound of shredded cheddar cheese).

MIL wanted to make sure I came here since it's a staple. I was really excited. I got a 4-way with onions (I would totally do a 5-way because I think I would also enjoy the beans). Topped with the most cheese, which is perfect. Complete mess the entire time I ate. She had us put on bibs for pics but I actually needed it. I feel like this is something I would scarf down in private since I'd be so messy. I get it - it's oddly satisfying. Whoever ran out of sauce and dumped chili on their spaghetti was really on to something! Plus they have really good floats (I had red cream). Ate the whole thing and was very full. Good price and this location was easy to drive and park. Good service and the place was clean (even restrooms). I'm a fan!

Popped in as soon as we arrived in Cincinnati. Plenty of seating and an amazing server! Food was delicious. Parking is easy! We have visiting this one several times - always a pleasant experience.

If you've been to skyline chili before, this is definitely one I would recommend. This is the skyline chili I with the best ambiance, and was quite large. The food was good, but the burrito was pretty soggy. If you've never gotten the burrito before, don't expect a burrito, it is pretty much just a tortilla under a bed of chili. The service was mid, pretty much what who I would expect, and there is practically no wait for food.

While passing through Cincinnati, I decided I needed to try Skyline Chili. A Small 5-Way and a cheese Coney, both with extreme habanero cheese. And funnel fries to finish the meal. Very enjoyable lunch!

This was my first time trying skyline chili. Vibes: I really loved the vibes. The layout with the grill in the center and then the old timey hanging glass lamps with stools at the bar was great. It felt historic but not grungy. I thought the service was fast too, and paying at the counter was nice. This was a good experience in terms of those things. I got the chili with dogs. And the dogs were fine. But unfortunately I did not like the chili. It was served under a mountain of shredded cheddar. And the chili just was very runny and had an odd texture. Maybe I'm just not used to this kind of chili, but this chili was very very "fine" meaning it was ground into very small bits so that it was more like a slurry than a chili. It ended up feeling watery. The flavor of the chili was weird too. There was a lot of allspice flavor with notes of cinnamon and cloves. This was a strange taste. So unfortunately I did not like their chili, which is the main thing this restaurant makes...

This Skyline is the best in the city! The workers are always so efficient and kind, often getting food to you within 5 minutes of you ordering. The place is incredibly clean, and you can see employees vacuuming or detailing windows often. Their parking lot is a great reprieve from street parking, and it is always nice to walk down Ludlow to Graeters after your meal!

I spent some time this summer in different parts of OH-I-O this summer. Chillicothe, Cincinnati, Circleville to name a few. I love Ohio and all the people I have met along the way over the years! Ok, SKYLINE CHILI! It's expensive as hell to buy in the airport. Wait until you drive away to find a local restaurant. They are allllll over. I visited the original one, on multiple occasions, because I stayed up the street and around the corner at the Graduate Hotel, located on the campus of University of Cincinnati. The service was top notch! Upon entering, a hearty greeting from all the workers. Similar to the NC greeting at any Waffle House. I ordered the 5 way with jalapeno cheese each time. They bag the cheese on the side for to-go orders. I love that! Not a fan of baked spaghetti or thick melted cheese. Side note: They have these little half filled packets of hot sauce that I am a fannnnn of! Made sure to take a few to stow away in my luggage to bring back to NC for a little zing! Watch out now Popeyes! This little hot sauce zip is almost as close as yours, except the sauce packet is full! Can't wait to taste the "either you like it" or "not" flavors of cardimon, star aninise, bay leaves, and other spices for a traditional 5 way Skyline spaghetti dish. Cincy's in Greensboro NC will give this business a run for their money. That jalapeno finely shredded cheese option sets it apart! Sounds like a Cincy's trip on tomorrow for me!

Do NOT get the chili spagetti no cheese, this has definitely went through the intestines of another human.

I learned last week while visiting Ohio that eating chili and spaghetti is a "thing" there. It's like having beignets at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans or dining at Katz's Deli in New York City. In Cincinnati that food tradition is followed at Skyline Chili. Or at least I was told that and at this location in particular. It seems that Skyline is the most famous restaurant that specializes in chili on pasta or on a coney (hot dog for us Southerners). I dined here for lunch last Saturday after visiting the nearby Cincinnati Zoo. They have their own free parking lot behind the restaurant and is the best place to park. After being seated in this "diner" style restaurant my waitress Aubrey explained to me that there are about 200 Skyline locations in the greater Cincy area! That's a lot. I did notice one in the airport when I arrived and another at the Zoo that I had just left so she is probably right. They are all over. The menu is pretty simple and I ordered a 4 way large size. I chose beans to be added but didn't want the raw onions or it would have been a 5 way. With a soft drink and tax the meal cost $15 and came out in about 5 minutes. It was a big plate of 'ghetti with a heaping portion of chili and ALOT of shredded cheese on top. The meal was very good tasting and filling. I liked the chili flavor (4) but prefer my beans larger than that. It was a lot of food and I would order it again. Aubrey did a great job waiting on me and was friendly and personable. I like this restaurant as it has character and is in an interesting location near other bars and eateries.

This is a current photo of myself after visiting Skyline Chili on Vine Street.

We've been to the Blue Ash Senate a couple times and love it; this location does feel entirely different and I wouldn't compare the two at all. While we were looking at the menu, the guy behind the counter told us that their burgers were $5, Wed-Fri before 7PM. We decided to grab two burgers and two hot dogs, the Trailer Park and the FC Dawg. We sat at the bar, just getting a couple waters, and our food came out about fifteen or twenty minutes later. We started with our burgers, not expecting much from them. But they were actually really tasty. Even for a thin patty, they were well-cooked and a bit juicy. Thin onion slices and thick tomato--exactly my preference. And the burger sauce was tangy and a bit spicy. A really great burger for just $5. Then we split the hot dogs in half. the Trailer Park was topped with Coleslaw and Grippo's. The slaw was decent and the chips weren't out of place, but as a whole the dog was a bit underseasoned. The FC Dawg is their version of a Kony, with chili, cheese, and fritos. The toppings weren't bad, but similar to the first dog, it was a bit bland. We'd both skipped lunch and for $5, we couldn't resist grabbing a couple more burgers. The dogs were 3 stars, but the burgers for the price were 5 stars, and we'll definitely be back for them.
