Trying all three cheese coney places, this one was my least favorite. I did not like the chili taste and preferred the other options better.

Workers were friendly, food was delivered fast, and tried the new chicken chili and it was so good!!

Got here around 8 and the sign reads open until 10pm. Staff was welcoming and were in the process of cleaning up for the night. Regardless, they were eager to take our order. We have never been to a Skyline Chili location and a friend of mine suggested we try it. Got the #5 and a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Food came out quick; but cold. My cheese was ice cold and the signature chili was tepid at best. The chicken wrap did not seem fresh (lettuce was wilted). As mentioned, never been here before so didn't want to send it back (especially when it was obvious they wanted to keep with their closing process). So, doubt I will ever try them again. If I could give a zero, I would! The food was pretty good, but it was hard to enjoy when all I could hear was yelling behind the counters!! As a former educator myself I was absolutely APPALLED to see the teaching methods of the adults, who I assume are managers/owners. You could tell the young kids were working hard, but it sounded like they were being degraded and belittled for a simple mistake. Stopped in here for a quick dinner while passing through the area on our way to Nashville. My husband needed to try Cincinnati Chili and this was the closest location we could find serving it. Its a fast food kind of vibe but you order from your table with a waitress and she brings it all out to you, etc. For those who don't know (like myself up until this experience) Cincinnati chili is spaghetti topped with chili and cheese. You can add onions, beans, etc to it. My husband ordered "the five way" which includes all of the above toppings. It was absolutely amazing, per his exclamations while eating it. I'm not big on chili, so I ordered a chicken wrap and cheese fries. They don't melt the cheese on anything which threw me for a loop at first but I wasn't mad about it! The food is the same as any other skyline and the service is great but the owner treats their employees like crap, I was in there the other day and watched the owner (an older male about in his 50s) make one of his employees cry and this is not the first complain of this sort. This skyline is a joke, I am never eating here again unless it somehow is taken over by new management. A grown man shouldn't be yelling at his teenage employees the way he does. Not a healthy environment for anyone to be in, so if you plan on applying here think twice. read more

I only get to northern Kentucky/ southern Ohio once a year. Skyline is a MUST ever time I'm there! The 3-way is classic goodness... the vegetarian option is great and superior to the vegetarian option at Gold Star. We look forward to the day they carry dairy free cheese like Daiya and meatless chili using vegan crumbles which are awesome btw that will help more people with dietary restrictions enjoy the magic that is skyline! When looking up "must do/eat while in Cincinnati", this came up every time. Ordered the extreme (habanero cheese) 3-way and can now say I have tried the Cincinnati chili. Add beans if you want them. It wasn't bad, and prices were really affordable. read more

Went to the drive-through at the Mall Road Skyline location in Florence KY. I ordered the number 4 ( 2 chillitos and a medium Pepsi) I also added a bag of plain chips. The young woman at the window told me that my total was 12.17. When I got to the window, I gave her my card, she rang it up and gave me my receipt. As I waited for my food, received a notification that my card was charged 14.60. When I let the manager know, he said that I needed to talk it over with my bank. This is crazy since someone in his establishment rang in the order. I don't know if they were adding gratuity or the cost to offset their CC machine, but I am not happy with this. I returned my food and requested a refund. We shall see if they really refunded the money back to my card. I will NEVER eat at that location again, and if you do and use your credit or debit card, check your receipt. Do better Skyline Mall road. read more

I don't send food back because I've worked in restaurants my whole life. I ordered a 3way dry, I got it wet, ordered fries well well done and they were barely cooked. Server typed everything in but cooking staff can not read I guess because when it says try there shouldn't be a puddle of liquid on my plate after taking one bite. I'm from NKY and we are VERY serious about our chili. You're either Skyline, Gold Star or Dixie. I am Skyline for LIFE! I love the hint of cinnamon and the shredded cheese that no one else can re-create. I have only been to one crappy location where I felt it wasn't very clean, this one on Mall Rd is not that location. Sitting at your booth you're immediately given oyster crackers and asked for your drink request. I like to think of these crispy crackers as my appetizer so to speak. Set myself up with some yummy hot sauce, put a drop right into the cracker. BOOM. Mind blown. Up next....3-way. The heavens open up and a star is born! Delicious noodles, topped with the runny chili and last but NOT least...the cheese. The biggest damn mound of cheese you've ever seen on a plate of chili. And if you're not from NKY the odds you've seen a PLATE of chili are pretty slim. When visiting home I'm always trying to make up for lost time at my favorite restaurants. So while at Skyline, I always try to force at least one coney into my pie hole while I'm eating my 3-way, but I don't love the coney near as much so I tend to only get a bite or two in. For a low cost delicious lunch or dinner this is a great go to in the area. If you haven't been before you must go. To tie myself over I always purchase the cans at Fry's so that I can eat Skyline even living in the desert. Is it just as good as the real thing? No, but it'll do until next time... read more

I love Skyline on Mall Road. I haven't once had bad service at this location. The chili is exactly what you expect it to be, that Cincinnati-style flavor that you know and love if you've lived here long enough (and I've lived here 25 years...my whole life), and you cannot find a better chilito. Even Taco Bell's chili cheese burritos pale in comparison (and I like those, too). The location is just big enough that you know you're at a Skyline, yet small enough that if you go often enough you're recognized as a regular. I guess that's why I go to this one over the Turfway or Industrial Road locations (despite living equally close to all three). In short, if you're looking for the best Chilito in the Tri-State, Skyline is where it's at, and for my money, the Mall Road location has the best one out of all of the Skylines I've been to. read more

Place was dirty. They weren't that busy and 3 tables had not been cleared off. Crackers and garbage on the floor. A smell of something that didn't belong. Steam tables etc in the cooking area in dire need of cleaning around the bottom where the fans etc blow. If this is what it looks like out front I'd hate to see the back. You are all crazy. This tasted like it came out of my asshole. The service however, was excellent. Had a bib put on me in case I spit out the shitty chili, timely service, free peppermint patty to clear up the taste of the food and quick checkout. I've lived in Cincy & NKY my whole life and everyone around here likes their own different type of chili. Well mine is and always will be Skyline Chili. Some say it is more runny than others which I don't completely disagree with, but it still tastes better than all others. When I do visit this location I usually go through the drive through. The building is a little weird in you must drive around it once to go thru the drive thru, then go around it again after paying to safely get to the exit. The staff is always nice and helpful.
