I love Skyline Chili! There are not enough locations especially in the Indy metro area. I really wish they would build one closer to me. So I always have to go out of my way to visit one of their restaurants. This location is well off the route between Indy and Lexington but it was my last chance on this particular road trip returning from South Carolina. This location is quite unusual for me in that they have a dining room area upstairs that I missed on the way in or I would have sat up there. As usual service was fast, friendly and accurate. I ordered a 4 Way chili with onions and my sister ordered a 5 Way. The food was excellent including the oyster crackers. I just love this style of chili and the way it's served. I stopped here twice as we were traveling to Shipshewana. This was the first time to try famed Cincinnati Chili. I had read reviews before coming and saw where people received their food cold. As I ordered, I watched the cooks make my wife's hotdog and my 4-Way. The waitress was busy cleaning tables and I waited as long as I could and just walked up to counter and asked for my food so it would be warm. I was really impressed with the hot dog as it was like one we remembered 30 years ago at a town where we grew up in Oklahoma. I will say, I really liked the spaghetti and chili & cheese. This is the Skyline location right on 50 in Lawrenceburg. It's a very unique location as they have almost a two level look inside with tables on the first and second floor. Our waitress was very good and got us everything we needed and was very friendly. Everyone has a favourite Cincinnati style chili and this one is kinda mid pack for me. I got 4 Habenero Cheese Coneys with no onions extra mustard. The chili was good and the cheese had a decent amount of kick as habanero should. I got a side of plain fries that were kind of soggy and disappointing and would have made a better base for a chili and cheese fry then eating them plain. Although I didn't get it this time their 3 ways are very good and probably the best way of showcasing their chili. Their funnel cake frys are excellent as well although I've never seen them at any other locations other than this one. Skyline has some pros and cons but there was more good than bad about my visits to this location (this was my 4th one but 1st eating inside.) read more

Open late on weekends (1am) and tons of seating in this 2 storied Skyline Chili. Came at around 11pm on a Friday night with my uncle. We were told to sit where we like. Our waitress was currently sweeping, so someone else came over and took our order. I ordered a greek salad (to share), a cheese coney, and a small 3 way. She smiled, said thanks, and walked away. My uncle was never able to order. Luckily, our real waitress walked over, apologized, took my Uncle's order, and our drink orders (Waitress 1 had not done that either), and brought us oyster crackers. Our waitress was very sweet, attentive, and fast. My small 3 way came out as a Regular, which she told me would still be charged as a small. I always order Extreme Cheese, but had forgotten to tell her for the Cheese Coney - she ran back to the people behind the counter and made it right. She was awesome. The food itself was tasty as usual - cheese coney comes with mustard and onion optional. The 3 way was good & the Regular Greek Salad is enough for 2 people. read more

We were in your restaurant today celebrating our sons birthday after he passed away in a drowning 1 month ago leaving behind 2 small children for us the grandparents to raise. This was his favorite place. He always came there. We explained to our waitress who is absolutely amazing. Always so caring and such a all around wonderful person what we were doing there. She gave us her condolences. We started to pay as we left when to one of the best emotional and unbelievable things happened. She said that our check had been taken care of. I stood there started. And said they paid our bill. She replied yes. Tears came to my eyes. I was so surprised. May not seem that much to some but to me at this terrible time it was awesome and amazing. I wanted to thank that amazing young lady for telling the manager of our situation. I've never been so moved by such a gesture. God bless you both you all and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Saw reviews as a place to check out if passing through, definitely a unique experience. Straight forward menu built around chili and cheese, so if that's your thing be sure to stop in. We had a variety of menu items and all were pretty good. The original deluxe burrito has the famous skyline chili wrapped in a tortilla and topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and drizzled with sour cream. Not a burrito you'd see at a Mexican restaurant but definitely a good size portion of good stuff. Unimpressed with the chili cheese fries; too soggy too fast. The chili 3-way and 5-ways were a big hit. The regular size is a reasonable portion and the large is over the top. Might as well get it though since I'm pretty sure the left overs will be equally as good. The 5-way is Skyline Chili topped spaghetti with beans and onions with a full skyline of cheese mounded on top. Epic presentation! I went for the extreme habanero cheese and it was not as hot as I was thinking I might be. If you like heat at all, go for it, you won't be disappointed. 9.2.22 - I dined here as soon as they opened their doors. We ordered 2 kids' cheese Coney specials ($9.78) without mustard and onions plus 1 french fries ($3.09). These chili cheese dogs and french fries were just as good as I remember them being and even as cute and small. My issue is the price though! How did they become so expensive? We sat where we wanted. The restaurant was clean enough, but there were cleaning supplies and brooms around us that should've been removed. The waitress was not very friendly or welcoming. As a matter-of-fact, she disappeared before we were done eating, and I wasn't even done ordering my kids desserts. I understand this is just a hot dog joint and service is not to be like a 5-star restaurant, but for the price, I expected and deserved better service and more food. At this point, I'm sick of managers using COVID as an excuse for horrible customer service or dining experiences, especially when prices have increased. I stopped here on the way home from work. I ordered some coneys. The order was wrong. I did get what I payed for. The coneys are a little over $2.00 each. I asked for light onion and mustard and it's so light you can't even taste it. The buns and hotdogs have gotten smaller over the years. And they put very little chili on the hotdog. Before making the trek to the Cincinnati area, I ran a poll as to where my family should eat (with the emphasis on best representation of the area). There were several suggestions, but it seems that Skyline is the "gotta eat" place. Honestly, I feel hosed. I very much enjoyed my first trip to Skyline Chili! As curious as I was about a chili restaurant chain founded in 1949 by a Greek immigrant in Cincinnati OH, it has taken me a while to check one of these locations out even though I find myself in the Midwest at least once a year for my job. My first experience here was a good one. I opted to go inside to dine so I would have time to fully read the menu, expecting more of a McDonald's type of atmosphere (they have a drive through) I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was not. I walked in to a guy at a counter who welcomed me and told me I could sit where ever I liked. I chose a booth in the back. I was promptly greeted by my server Kaitlyn who immediately re washed my table top which appeared pretty clean to me when I sat down, so I was impressed by that. She gave me a small bowl of oyster crackers and got me my drink right away, an unsweetened Ice tea which was very good. I drank 2 glasses of it. ($1.99) I looked at the section on their menu that said that they were famous for these dishes called "3-way, 4-way, 5-way" which is chilli and cheese over spaghetti with add-ons like beans and chopped onion and these chili cheese dogs called "coneys" that are little hotdogs with chili, cheese, mustard and onion. I chose one "cheese coney" ($1.99) and a small "5-way"($4.99). I was not disappointed. My order came out fast, it was pretty looking and very good. The chilli itself is very unique. The blend of spices in it are smokey sweet and savoury. I tasted garlic, cinnamon, cumin, allspice (perhaps) and maybe cocoa powder (?). Kaitlyn handed me my bill a little while after my food arrived and said I could pay at the counter whenever I was ready. Very good experience. Way better than the fast food pay and dump I was expecting. Everyone was personable and seemed to enjoy their job. While I was eating, a man with glasses and a red button up asked me if everything was good as well. (Manager ?) I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be consuming more Skyline Chili in the future (perhaps again before I leave the region!) hopefully other locations are as good as this one! read more

Went here today around 1:00. There were several empty but dirty tables. We stood there waiting for a clean table for 10-15 minutes. Nobody acknowledged us. Customers came in behind us and sat at dirty tables after we told them we were waiting that long and staff would then clean that table. When one of the employees finally started to clear the empty tables, she wouldn't just clear one table, she was walking through the restaurant clearing the plates then the cups, etc. It took as long as it would if I ordered a steak at a nice restaurant to get our food. They never took the high chair away that was sitting behind my chair from the previous group. When we complained about the service, all they had to say was we were busy. We understood that, but you could have cleared a table so we didn't have to sit at a dirty table in order for someone to clean it especially when we had small children with us. read more

Skyline is always amazing food and we always go when we come back to Cincinnati, but today we had terrible service. The waitress whose name was Emily S. was so rude! One of our Chili's had onions in it which we did not ask for. So we wanted a different one, simple as that. So we ask Emily and she just turns entirely rude. She's cuts one of us off before we could finish our sentence an informs us that it just happens sometimes. This is entirely fine expect for her tone. Her tone was extremely rude talking to the guest like she was some sort of child. The lady did bring the Chili back but was rude to the one guest the whole time. Everyone at the table got refills except her, because you know it was so hard to bring back Chili! Very dissatisfied with my experience. This hasn't happened at other Skylines before and I am very disappointed. While the food was fantastic the service was terrible! So I must give this restaurant 1-star! read more

I visit family in the area 3-4 times a year and always make a visit to Skyline. I generally order regular 4-way which is consistently delicious. Service is over the top. Servers & staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you make it a priority to have a meal here! read more

I am writing this review based on their "garlic bread." The chili and everything else is the same. I decided to try the garlic bread and it was horrible. Two pieces of Texas toast covered with a small amount of garlic butter sauce. The bread was so dry, the garlic butter never soaked into the bread. I've had grocery store garlic bread that was much better. Stick with chili, but lose the garlic bread. read more
