I waited about two months before I decided to write this review because I wanted to know and understand all about my new apartment and the staff for a fair and reliable review. My experience started with the leasing office where I and my girlfriend met with "Erika" who was extremely nice and knowledgeable about all the questions we had. She was very patient and went above and beyond to make sure we are confident about our decision! She followed up with us closely throughout the application process and made the move in experience very easy and pleasant! Since we moved in Erika has been attentive and always present to answer all the questions and solve all the problems we might have. read more

My review keeps getting flagged by them because I'm telling the true horrible stories that actually go on here. Leaking water from the upstairs neighbor. Bed bugs, ant infestation. Cars broken into and stolen, there are no working cameras in the facility btw. Leasing managers that never return calls. Receptionist that are rude and uncaring. Confidentiality is not a thing at Skyloft either, my personal information was gossiped to maintenance workers. Multiple units are AIRBNB so expect the hallways to be filled with stranger around your children, cars are stored in the garage without stickers or proper permits. Random people wait in line to get into the gate that is only meant for residents. Women scream at night, saying heeeeeelllllpp , somebody heeeeelllppp. Drunk people walk the halls and are loud. Drunk people also scream outside so everyone can hear. Gardeners are gardening on the weekend at 9pm at night. I can not make this up. Mangers NEVER return calls. We have new receptionists every week and do mind you they are dealing with our personal information. There has been at least 15 new people working since I've been at Skyloft. The fridge freezes my food costing me thousands of dollars. I have submitted multiple request and this has not been fixed. The manager Farhana yelled at me and told me she is too busy. She says she doesn't have time for you if you go and speak with her in person. When ever I walk through the office management and receptionist do not speak. Hiba the other manger, the one who does all the work for Farhana rolls her eyes at me every time I see her. I say hi Hiba, how are you and she ignores me and I repeat hi hiba how are you and she acts like she didn't hear or see me and says , "oh I didn't see you" but the moment a potential renter comes in they hop up like thirsty hyenas to get that sale. I guess one thing they are doing correctly is making money for this company. When they speak to you they are condescending. It's like they forget they only have a job because us tenants pay rent The bar tender on the property publicly complains about residence who don't tip them. Managers getting drunk and partying in the common area as if they are making residence happy. I hope my last three months go by as quick as possible and I hope my review saves someone mental health and life. read more

Going on 4months here and we love it. Floor plan is great, I love the master shower and our balcony view. The office staff is always nice and friendly. Ryan is the best, he has mounted tvs and shelves for us, he has fixed our washer numerous times (due to user error) and he always does a great job. Even the security guards are nice and friendly to us. The pool area is beautiful with cabanas, single lounge chairs, firepit areas, and outdoor grills. The construction has not bothered us at all. The fact that the rooftop is still under construction doesn't bother us all. You can't rush things like that and let us be honest, shit comes up and sometimes setbacks are unavoidable. The noise isn't an issue for us either, it's nothing out of the ordinary, if anything we enjoy it. We really love living here. read more

Unfortunately, I had much higher hopes with Skyloft and have been repeatedly disappointed by the lack of safety, communication, down amenities, and overall quality. To start, If you think about living on any level other than the fifth, you will hear your upstairs neighbors. I work from home and have had my zoom meetings call out the bangs they hear (coming from upstairs). When getting out of the apartment and using the amenities there is always something down, not working, not stocked, etc. The upstairs jacuzzi was down for months, and still has random weeks that it is not hot - & with no notice from the office. You walk up there, swimsuit on and all, to then find a cold jacuzzi. With the colder weather coming in, all, ALL, of the heaters do not have Propane. Just empty cans of propane. The complaints go in one ear and out of the other. The TVs in the "cabanas" only have 6ish channels to flip through. Static and sparse service makes it unenjoyable to watch a game or even have company over in the common spaces. One of the upstairs BBQ's you have to take a lit piece of paper or long lighter to light the grill as the gas will turn on but it will not ignite as it is intended to. An easy fix, but this has been this way for two months. I moved from out of state, no one walked me to my apartment for the first time. There was no dolly to help me move *and I did call 48 hours before moving and was assured they would have one for use. I had no welcome "Skyloft swag" (like many other residents had waiting for them). No walkthrough at all. I had never been to Skyloft before and did my own wondering to find where the gym was, bike room, etc. Speaking of the bike room, let's bring up the lack of security here. As a single female safety is incredibly important to me. I was happy to READ that key fobs would be the only way into the building. But the reality is, that is not the case! They leave an outside door, completely unlocked!! Anyone could come in, and we have had a hooded individual sneak in and try door handles, looking for an unlocked one, at 1. Yes, I have mentioned this, and as I write this it still sits unlocked. Cameras? NOPE. If you have a car that has been STOLEN (has happened at least 8 times in the past four months), out of the "secure and gated parking," you will have no access to the one camera at the exit, because it is "too blurry to even make out license plates." Windows smashed in && in the most recent events multiple bikes were stolen from the bike room *key fob only entrance,* and they didn't bother sending out a notice to all residences until in passing one resident told another, and the word spread. Which is very frustrating; as we don't use the bikes daily and didn't even know it was gone, filed a police report, or to check if mine was one of the 20 bikes taken. It shocks me to see the inflated prices for a LACKLUSTER building. By the photos and initial look, things look well put together, but the functionality is where they don't care. I will say that maintenance is great. The cleaning crew works hard. BUT again it's not the surface things it's the functionality and disregard to residences concerns. Many of the current residences are not even considering resigning. I am hopeful that the dismissive office will take action. I am not getting what was advertised, and I encourage others to look elsewhere when considering Skyloft as your safe, secure, "luxury" new home. read more

Just one week living at Skyloft and it has been an awesome experience. I've looked all throughout the Irvine/Newport Area and the amenities here are the best. The residents here are very friendly. The leasing office is prompt and professional. Ericka Alarcon from management made sure I was accommodated in my new place and helped me book an event here for my family. The event was amazing, Thanks Ericka! If you are looking to live with hotel style amenities then I'd recommend Skyloft. The rooftop Skylounge has such nice views of the Irvine area. Poor management, lease issues: My lease was ending at the beginning of October. I wanted to get the new rates for a lease to decide if I would be staying. The office gave me the new rates 3 days late on a Sunday evening (27 days before my lease ended) with a significant price increase. I then had to look for a new place and once I was able to secure that place, I told management I'm moving. If you have tried to find a place in Southern California, you know it is not easy and takes time for a landlord to accept your offer. Skyloft management then wanted to charge me additional rent beyond my lease because I did not notify them 30 days before my lease ended. I argued that I had waited for the new rates which was given to me late. Finally, we negotiated terms and settled. I paid what was asked, left at the beginning of October as what was asked of me, BUT now they've sent me a bill for the remaining days in October. The problems with skyloft DO NOT END even after you've left. Experience with neighbors (poor management response): My wife and I had to deal with 3 months of marijuana smoke coming through our vents multiple times a day. We spent 2.5 months trying to get management to help but were told multiple times that our neighbor (who was indeed smoking multiple times everyday indoors) was not smoking. After 2.5 months without any help from management, I had to catch this neighbor smoking on his balcony. Only then did management do something to stop this. Building review: The building itself is modern. Unfortunately, sound carries from floor to floor and the majority of tenants play loud music throughout the day/evening. If you want to be somewhere that is quiet, this is not the place to be. Summary: The management team is nice when you speak to them, but unfortunately when it comes to important matters such as your lease and living issues, they cannot deliver and will make your life more difficult. Please consider leasing a Skyloft apartment with caution. I thought I would be done with their problems after I left, but they continue to cause more issues. read more

I have never experienced such a blatant disregard for tenant rights. From the moment I moved in none of my inquiries or complaints were attended to or addressed. When my dog was attacked at their dog park I was told it would be handled, but it never was and the same dog continues to show up terrorizing all of the dogs. I now have to take my dog elsewhere to go to the bathroom. This is just One of the so-called amenities that I am now unable to use. There is constant noise coming from my neighbors unit day and night and no matter how many times I ask management to handle it I am told "we will take care of it" yet per the usual nothing is done. The rooftop pool is under construction and has been for months now - another amenity I pay for but am unable to use. This place does not care about the people living here, they only care about receiving their monthly rent. Please take my advice and find someplace else to live. I have just moved to Irvine for a new job and I have been fortunate to score and live in a dream apartment like Skyloft. I fell in love with the interior design of the complex; I honestly feel like I live in a hotel. Skyloft has great amenities including the gym, laundry in-unit, a conference room, and even a rooftop bar, just to name a few. It is also close to many popular grocery stops and restaurants. I love that my apartment has a minimal, modern gray color scheme; is pet-friendly; and has a LOT of space and storage. Just wanted to update my review after talking to management. First, I'll say they were always polite. When they contacted me after my review, I was cautiously optimistic. However, nothing has changed. People still leave trash bags or loose trash on the ground on a daily basis - even on days where there is no trash collection. When I contact management, all they say is that they'll do something about it. Most of the time nothing is done. The rest of the time, all they do is put a little warning notice on the person's door. Nothing to actually deter people, like a fine. Same few apartments in my area have been doing it since I've lived here. I'll also add that it's happening around the building. I see trash when I walk to the office to pick up my mail, when I walk around the building to go to the gym or use the amenities, it's throughout the place. The sound issue is ridiculous. Thankfully, the people below me that I originally had an issue with moved out. But, when I come home at night on weekends, I can here other apartments blasting music on the way to mine. I'm sure their neighbors are upset about it. read more

However when it comes to staff, i never experienced such ambition, great attitude, great presence, and professionalism before. Juan Ramirez are all of these things and more. He's very responsive and actually talks to me about what wrong and how he's going to fix it. There are just some things that you can't teach, Juan takes pride in his work and it shows. My husband and I moved in a few months ago from the apartments down the street. Farahana and Nick helped us move in and were very helpful answering all my questions before moving in. All the staff here are very attentive and kind. I know there are a lot of reviews on the sounds being bad but luckily my husband and I have no issue with that at all. We actually hear way less noise than we did at our last apartment place. The amenities here are awesome! I do wish the gym was a lot better but it's good enough to get by! Also, I love that they host events for the community to enjoy. Every month they have new events to look forward to! If you are thinking about moving in, this is the place to live! Please learn from my mistake. My experience may differ from yours, but these 7-months at Skyloft have been a nightmare. Do not allow yourself to be fooled by the new build, design, and minimalist aesthetics like many others were. Private message me for questions. Update #1: - After my review, there were (3) new positive Yelp "reviews" posted in a 7-hour window. Before that, there were 16 reviews in 210 days. That's quite a coincidence. - The fire alarm woke up the entire complex at 7:27 AM June on 18th. It's insanely loud. This is around the 12th time in 7-months this has happened. I feel terrible for the families that go through this. Review: A.) Noise & build quality It is horrifying. The walls are paper-thin and there is a lack of insulation. It's mentally torturous when you cannot unwind at home. I've never lived in an apartment with this issue. I can hear when people cough and close their sliding bathroom door. That's crazy. ^^After talking to my neighbors, I realize much of the noise and poor sleep is due to the terrible construction. Nothing will fix this. People are paying $5,000 to get out of their lease. Read other tenants' 1-star reviews. One week is terrible, but imagine a one-year lease! ^^ I brought this up to management, too, and received a poorly-worded response about checking my contract and understanding this is the nature of apartments. No, it's not. Also, I have videos of the fire alarm going off CONSTANTLY in the morning. People are furious. B.) Construction Read Milad's review on Yelp. I'm 7-months in and construction takes place daily. If you look at the Yelp reviews, they were supposed to open up in early 2019 and lied to prospective tenants like Milad. Do you want a 1-year lease with constant construction, noise, and ugly views? This will continue for ages. C.) Amenities 7-months in and the rooftop bar, golf simulator, rock-climbing wall, and gym are incomplete. Management will use COVID-19 as an excuse for why we cannot enjoy the amenities, but that's a red herring. The amenities ARE.NOT.EVEN.FULLY.BUILT. They do not exist. Why would you pay thousands each month for a lack of amenities? This is a luxury apartment only in theory. It's stunning to see how behind they are in construction. Legacy/Skyloft blatantly lied about the amenity opening dates during our lease-signing AND the months after. ^^ Why was the heater broken in the pool for ages? Why are amenities not built 7-months into a 12-month lease? Why do tenants pay these prices for you being so behind? Skyloft did offer Equinox membership and that's the only defense they use. The gym is only one issue out of dozens, yet they cling to this defense and are so proud of it. When we bring up the other MULTIPLE amenities that do not exist, they offer no apologies, explanations, or solutions offered. They want you to remain quiet while they charge you the full cost each month. Those verbal promises they made to you? Null and void. Gross. D.) Unethical Check out the photo I posted. Skyloft opened in November 2019, but a TON of reviews on Yelp and another platform are made by Legacy Partner employees. Many of these reviews were also posted before they officially opened in November '19. The reviewers work here and tenants find it hilarious they used their real names. E.) Lack of ownership Management has yet to offer an apology or take ownership. They are complicit in their silence. No one has ever looked to reach out to tenants about the broken promises, living conditions, lack of amenities, or constant construction. Some employees are truly wonderful, but they are not the ones in charge. If people are overwhelmed now, what will happen once vacancies start to fill up? -------- Skyloft is not a bad meal at a restaurant I will get over. Rather, this is a life-impacting decision that I regret. Suffering from this mental torture for a year and thousands of dollars later are bitter pills I swallow daily. It sucks. Don't do it. We are the first wave of tenants. Everything below is a fact. - This apartment has been open for 5-months next week (November 12, 2019). You'll notice that many of the reviews on Yelp & Google are prior to 5-months. Not legitimate. - Also, 90% of the reviews are by the Legacy employees. That is unethical. ***We have been paying in full the 5-months with MISSING amenities. Broken promises. Heater on the pool doesn't work. No rooftop bar. No onsite gym. No golf simulator and Landry services. All because they are MONTHS behind construction. ***Why pay premium prices for luxury amenities which DO NOT exist? - Horrible communication. The apartment complex does not make updates on the lack of amenities and broken promises. No ETA. Also, communication during COVID-19 is minimal and unsatisfactory - No call box. Yeah. 5-months and if family or delivery service visits you, they can't call you to be brought in Yelpers, do not let the minimalist look and attractive design fool you. Your qualify of life will suffer and I implore you to learn from my mistake. It's a nightmare. Take care. I have more details. I've had a mostly-positive experience living here. Gotta give a shoutout to Zettia, who goes above and beyond to solve any problems I've had. The maintenance crew, Ryan and Gerry, are also great. You'll see from most of the reviews that many of the amenities aren't ready yet which is true, but there's one amenity that's been AMAZING which is the dog park. The enclosed dog park on site gives my dog the opportunity to play with the many other friendly dogs that live here. This gets his energy out and lets me focus on work during the day. No need to drive 15min to a dog park cause I can just walk out the door. I also love the trash valet. Never have to take out my own trash. Other than that there's also a nice in-home sound system, good kitchen design, large windows, security guards on site, and a package storage system. The main downside is the noise. The noise levels are surprisingly high for a luxury complex. If you have an issue with your neighbor's noise though, management will find ways to help. read more
