Boat of Mac and cheese with no additions
Katherine C.

If you love Mac and cheese, you'll go crazy for theirs! I stuck to a drink and a boat/bowl of their Mac and cheese with no additions and it was so solid! My SO got the sliced brisket and said it was phenomenal. Outdoor space is really nice and super fun. They have a concert area outdoors some nights, too! Don't forget that you have to go to the bar to order food and drink and give them your table number. Other than that, will definitely be back next time we're in the Portland/Hood area!

Quirky BBQ spot with delicious meats and apparently some of the best Mac n' Cheese in Oregon. We went with the Sampler and the Chicken. The meats were indeed tasty and tender. The favorite being the ribs, then the pulled pork. The sauces were delicious and tangy. They got a few delicious sides for you to choose from too. Fries could have been crispier and service was slow though. Overall, not a bad stop especially on a sunny day!

Decided to stop by here after spending the day on the mountain, and it did not disappoint! We got the sampler to share, and it was plenty for two people. It came with pulled pork, 1/4 rack of ribs, and sliced brisket. It comes with two sides, and you can get Mac n cheese for $3 upcharge. I highly recommend getting the mac n cheese and the lumpy mashers! The pulled pork was solid. The brisket was a bit dry, but I loved the ribs. I will be back for those. I recommend the mystery BBQ sauce. Good service, our server was very attentive.

First, I'm not a fan of their low-service model: they hand you silverware and cups, you order at the bar, etc. That said, the Truffled Cheese Grit Cake was the winner of the day, so good! They shine when it comes to sides: Garlic cheese fries were ample. Mac and Cheese gooey with crisp edges. BBQ beans were sweet and savory. Unfortunately, the BBQd meats were average: Pulled Pork Sliced Brisket Ribs Yard Bird Considering the area, the great vibe, and fair prices I still recommend the place.

A cute outdoorsy place! We had high expectations for the food. We got frickles, mac n cheese with some meats, beans, potatoe salad and brisket. All the meats were minimal and extremely dry and flavorless. We also didnt get the mystery sauce that was supposed to top it off. Come for the vibe, food, not so much.

Wow this is my new favorite place! Mac and cheese bar, bbq, live music, dancing and the nicest staff ever!!! Amazing vibes all around. So much seating and cute decor!

This is no doubt the best alpine eatery for any northwesterner who relishes nuanced fare with a southern flare. The ribs are to die for, and the mac & cheese and fried pickles will absolutely kill your hunger. Helpful hint: show up ready to throw down- c'est magnifique! Now let's talk about the interior. The ambiance couldn't be any cooler with the soft, warm lighting and dim atmosphere. As you wait impatiently hoping the back of the house will goose your order, you'll gander in the front of the house at their very unique and varied decor, just marveling. Almost as much as your gut will as you uncontrollably shovel their delectable eats down your gullet, once it makes its brief but welcomed appearance on your table. And what would any restaurant for ski bums be without a fireplace big enough to put all of your in-laws into? Oh, whoops. Uh...next to? I would be remiss not to inform you that there is a large dining table situated pretty close to the fireplace. We think it can be fun sometimes to pretend like we're really cold and hover super close to the group occupying that table while acting like we didn't notice them. If you do this, be sure to pay attention to the looks on their faces. They don't deserve to sit there anyway. Every year we go up into the Mt. Hood Wilderness for our Griswold Family Christmas tree (sans shovel). And each time our hunt is invariably followed by getting medieval on Skyway foodstuffs. It goes without saying that breaking our yearly tradition at Skyway would be nothing short of a sacrilege. Eat here. My wife and I give this place two very generous thumbs up.

The whole place is a vibe. The music wasn't too loud where you can't have a convo. The staff was really friendly and great. I wish there was more done with the tofu. I'm glad they had a vegan option. The tofu just tasted barely cooked with bbq. Maybe fried or cooked longer for actual texture? The fries were great and the beet salad was okay. I would come back for the music and vibes- not sure I'd order the tofu again.

After a long hike or a day on the slopes, this is the spot to stop by for delicious food and tasty drinks. Everything that is prepared is done so with so my heart and soul. The outdoor seating area is great fun and they also host live music. Go check it out!

Went downhill. Rude customer service and ridiculous prices. If you're coming down from the mountain, just keep driving past this dump.

I purchased some of everything, including a pie, and everything we've tried so far has exceeded my hopes. The best part is the products are sourced fairly close. No meat from Australia here. The information about the different ranches and farms is in their website and on signs in the store. They are also happy to talk with you about them. The store is charming and welcoming. Be aware that parking is tricky. There's a bus stop directly in front of the store and there's only one spot in their parking lat and it's only for vehicles needing wheelchair accessibly. The only place to park in front is on the curb just before the store.

Both times I liked it, when I ate in I ordered more to take home for laters as there weren't any left overs. I loved their salad it's made with their smoked turkey. The brisket chili and potato salad sides were so good! I would eat that anytime. The burnt ends and brisket were too fatty for me but I like lean, I think most people will be happy. The location is nice, staff are friendly. I was impressed the sides of meat come on a slice of bread to soak up the grease. I can't wait to go back. I'm thinking happy hour for the brisket nachos.

Why are they serving food on a plastic tray with a piece of waxed paper? Why am I paying $70 for two people to eat lunch, and they can't even give us plates? Also- I know that rolls of non-absorbent paper on the table is quaint, but it's tacky and wastes more paper than an actual NAPKIN- the kind offered to adults at dine-in restaurants. C'mon - do better. Staff was friendly & was willing to turn down the music. I don't see how this place could possibly be wheelchair accessible.
