After waiting a few months for them to work the kinks out, I decided to go get lunch there. The menu is a little confusing, with a few too many caveats, like $3 more for this meat or that side, etc. I ordered the two meat combo, which came with a quarter rib, brisket, baked beans, cole slaw and a small loaf of cornbread. The place is set up like a cafeteria, where you grab a tray and order what you want. The help are very friendly and service is fast. I must say I was impressed with the ribs. Very smoky, juicy and tender. The brisket was very dry and overcooked, but warm. The beans were a great compliment to the ribs and the cornbread is the sweet corn variety, which I like. Very moist and muffin-like. The coleslaw was okay, but needs more vinegar and a pinch of sugar. The cost was $28 and the meat portions were big enough to make lunch last two days. All in all, I would definitely order the ribs, beans and cornbread again. Next time, maybe I'll try the pulled pork sandwich, but at $18 it'd better be good! read more

Brother-in-law and I ate there for the first time last weekend food is pretty good. We got the complete meat platter couldn't finish it between the both of us. Side dishes were pretty good Staff was really friendly really helpful joking around. Nice, new, bbq restaurant in the heart of Estacada. They even have a drive thru! We stopped in for dinner to check out this new spot. After reading some poor reviews we weren't expecting much. Now I'm wondering what those reviewers were hoping for because the food here was better than we expected. It's a cafeteria style service when you first enter. You'll choose your meats and sides as you make your way down the line to the register. We chose the 2 meat and 3 meat plates and chose a mix of meats to be able to try several different things. We had chicken, ribs, pulled pork, brisket and sausage. The ribs were the fav of all the meats. Chicken was probably the next fav but all of the meats were good and flavorful. Except for the sausage each one is a good size portion. For sides we chose corn on the cob, Mac and cheese, coleslaw and jojos. The sides weren't anything amazing but all went well with the meat entrees. The Mac and cheese & jojo were good but both were a basic warm and serve, the coleslaw could have used more dressing and the corn was slightly too soft for our liking. Our total, including drinks, was approx. $60 (plus tip added to that) and we had a ton of left overs to take home. The restaurant itself is spacious with a lot of seating, nicely decorated, clean and inviting. The staff was very nice and helpful guiding us through our first visit. Everything was great. The remodel looks fantastic. The portions were huge. We had the two person sampler and everything was cooked perfectly and there was so much. We took over half of it home if you like dry cornbread, then don't come here because there's is moist and flavorful. We had four different samples barbecue sauce and they were all good. We wanted this to be a great experience and maybe as time goes on it will improve. We ordered the meat sampler for 2. It all comes on one tray and they do not provide plates for you. The sausage, pork belly, and ribs were good! Then we had some very dried out pulled pork, burnt ends looked like weird ground up squares..!?, and the brisket was dry. Spongy cornbread, coleslaw was ok, potato salad was pink?, and corn was dry. The service behind the counter was great, very nice people! Nice interior, clean and bright. We had a great meal last night. We ordered the Back Forty (I think it was called) and the Down Home Mac and Cheese with brisket. The food was fantastic. I expected I would like the brisket and ribs the best, but the pulled pork with the Carolina bbq sauce (mustard based) was actually my favorite of the night. Someone else at the table got the chicken and it was flavorful and moist as well. I have to say, I went into it being a little skeptical because bbq can be so vast in the flavors and quality, but I left full, satisfied, and very happy. Also, the sides we had were great as well. We tried the cornbread along with beans and potato salad. There were all tasty and well made. I would say give this new place in Estacada a chance and try some really good bbq. read more

I even got to sample a delicious piece of pork belly burnt ends. The pulled pork tasted like heaven and there are 4 different bbq sauces you can choose from. Sides and cornbread I would rate a 1.Dry and not fresh tasting slaw/Very odd and not good tasting potato salad-beans blah and not BBQ just plain pork and beans and JoJo seasoned ok but not fresh. Brisket taste good but very very dry. Ribs tasted better and a bit dry but not as dry as the brisket. $40 for the two dinners. Service was ok and simple and nice ambiance. We ordered a brisket sandwich on phone for pick up. Asked for the sandwich to be cut in half and with the coleslaw on the side. When we picked up the sandwich at drive thru we were told the cost was $3 more than the sandwich price posted on the website menu because it was brisket. At home we checked the menu on the website and could not find any reference to an extra charge for brisket posted on website. Second issue was sandwich was not cut in half as requested. Pretty empty at lunchtime should have said it all. This is basically very low end cafeteria food at a high price. The brisket was very dry, tho the little tubs of sauce helped. The Jo-Jo's were cold and soggy, corn was lukewarm and overcooked from frozen, not a hint of "smoke" as advertised. We had ordered the banana pudding to go, found that it must have been quite old as it was hard to put a spoon in. I managed to finish most of the brisket, but everything else was trashed after one bite. All 4 of us agreed it was a one & done for us, our friend said her baby backs were too dry to eat. I've gone to BBQ Barn four times since it's opened. Each time I was met with very kind nice staff who are always friendly and answer all my questions. The ribs have been amazing, The flavor and taste and the cook are absolutely perfect! You can pull them apart with your fingers , The meat just drops off their so tinder. The bacon sausage is wonderful filled with flavor and no fat or gristle. I highly recommend these as well. The baked beans are some of the best I've ever had, There's some pulled pork in them . Such a great idea. I wouldn't walk out without them mmm so good. and the corn bread has been amazing, I felt bad saying this but they are better than my moms . Walked in to purchase food to go for an early dinner around 445pm. The place is very clean and I love the unique look. Staff was very friendly and there were several employees working so I was greeted and my meal prepared quickly. I ordered the sampler platter with coleslaw, bakes beans, and mac n cheese. The sides were small, barely enough for two people. However the entire meal is large and more than enough for two people. It also came with cornbread. Both the mac n cheese and baked beans were scraped from the bottom of the warming dish. They were edible but more of a thick mush consistency. They had obviously been in the warming dish a long time. Coleslaw was prepackaged- which made sense for grab n go. Very bland. This would be one thing that would be SO EASY to make better for cheap. Cornbread was different. But good. The brisket was my favorite. Although much of it was dry and you could tell had sat for too long. The fresh parts were very good. We got a large portion on pulled pork. Had that been fresh, it also would have been very good. The bologna was gross. Not sure why that is even a thing. The pork ribs would have also been very good but were dry and overcooked. Long story short, they have some perfecting to do. I am happy they are here and look forward to trying them again once they have had some time to adjust things. Came here after getting a Christmas tree. They were so warm and inviting and the food was great! All 13 people in our group found the food amazing. The menu offers several ways to customize your order. I had a sandwich with brisket and Mac and Cheese and potato wedges. Fantastic brisket with no fat.
