This is a take out only sub restaurant. Excellent friendly service! We have tried the turkey, Italian, roast beef so far. All were excellent and delicious. Head and shoulders above the multi state chains at this locale. Ambiance is clean and food truck like but come for the food! Quick service but can get very busy at lunch hour. I have been hearing about this sandwich place for awhile and I finally had the opportunity to check it out. It's located off Goldie Road and is very easy to find, especially right now. There's a giant waving chef at the entrance to their parking area! After arriving I walked up to the ordering window, looked over the menu and specials board and decided on the Island Trollers Tuna Melt. In only 6 minutes I was served up my tuna melt on sourdough bread that included a pickle wedge and a few paper napkins. There are no tables to sit at, strictly take away eats at Slab City Sammies. Once I got to somewhere to eat my sandwich I realized what a treat it is. Some have said that the sandwiches are over priced, but they are very nice sandwiches and I thoroughly enjoyed mine! read more

My parent's neighbor suggested Slab City Sammies so we had to try it out. He said their sandwiches were REALLY good. Was it worth the hype? Hell yeah! We had a pastrami sandwich and a salad, both so so good. It's a nice size sandwhich, great ingredients! They do have daily specials and they are pretty active on their facebook. The only thing is that it's tucked away and can be hard to find, but they do have signs out for you to follow. Great food. Great people! I work nearby so I often just walk over for a lunch to go. I think I've tried just about everything but this week I got CJ with peanut butter, bacon and strawberry ghost pepper jam. Excellent place!!!! They were both really nice, giving us advice about Fort Ebey and how to wear out the granddaughters! Tuna melt was delicious, slightly messy but still yummy. Pastrami was wonderful!! The extra strong mustard really took it to the next level. Two solid sandwiches. No photo of pastrami sandwich.... The sandwiches were so tasty! This place doesn't have any inside dining, so expect to take it to go. It's tucked away in an "industrial" lot. I do wish the sandwiches came toasted... Fast, friendly service! I ordered the turkey sandwich and it was delicious. There were definitely a lot of onions on there but I'm not afraid of a good onion. Also, it got me thinking... wow, what if they also made grilled onions and some sort of philly cheese steak sandwich?? I bet it would be the BOMB. Just tried them out recently after reading about their reviews. I didn't have expectations since I've been disappointed before, but was totally amazed at the quality of ingredients and how clean tasting the sandwiches are. Customer service is great. So glad I don't have to travel anywhere out of town to get a great sandwich!. So far, I've tried the roast beef dip and the turkey Sammie. Both were equally delicious but on a cold day, it's nice to have a hot sandwich like the beef dip. read more

There's not much to the ambiance here. Basically a window to order from with a small tent to keep you dry. The service is amazing! The food looked so good I completely forgot to take pictures. I had a ginormous grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of potato ham soup. Way more food than I should've eaten but I managed to finish it all. You have to come try it out! read more

The selection (of Sammies) covers the hearty appetite. We order three types of Sammies (Pastrami, Ham, Turkey) and all were consistent with fresh bread and fixings. The owner was very personable and enthusiastic in helping us decide our choices as well as making our Sammies. If your looking for a 'sandwich' (Sammie) that is fresh and delicious...this is the place to go. We are looking forward to our next visit and want to try the soup as well. This little sandwich shop is AMAZING! I ordered the pastrami sammie. Wow! The bread was nice and fresh and soft, the toppings were perfect, and oooohhh the horseradish! Yum!! Their menu is small with maybe only a handful of sandwich choices, but it has just about everything most sandwich goers would want. We also ordered the grilled cheese sammie for my husband. He's a little on the picky side and said it was good, but lacked flavor for him. Whatever dude lol, I got a good one This is definitely a place I'll be back to. Slab City Sammie's is a great addition to a part of town that is gaining in awesome quick lunch spots. When the place is hard to find but there are multiple cars pulled up every time you visit, that is a good sign. I've been three times in two weeks if that tells you anything. The sandwiches are awesome, super flavorful, high quality meats, cheeses, custom aiolis, a great mix of fresh vegetables, and the hoagie roll is amazing with a nice chew. My personal fave.so far is the roast beef. I've had one of the soups and it was great as well, very hearty and clearly from scratch, the type of soup that fills your soul. Friendly and appreciative staff make it all the better. HIGHLY recommended! read more
