Excellent place!!!! They were both really nice, giving us advice about Fort Ebey and how to wear out the granddaughters! Tuna melt was delicious, slightly messy but still yummy. Pastrami was wonderful!! The extra strong mustard really took it to the next level. Two solid sandwiches. No photo of pastrami sandwich.... We ate it at Fort Ebey State Park while watching the sun set.

The sandwiches were so tasty! This place doesn't have any inside dining, so expect to take it to go. It's tucked away in an "industrial" lot. I do wish the sandwiches came toasted... I think it would've made the sandwich even tastier. The broccoli cheddar soup had a lil kick to it as well. Super nice folks who work outta here!

Don't be discouraged when you are driving into an industrial neighborhood, the Slab City Sammies is there! It is a drive up or call in your order situation. We got ours and took it to a park. It is the epitome of a hole in the wall. The staff were super friendly, and made an amazing sandwich! When we are in Oak Harbor this is the only spot we will go to have a sandwich!

Pastrami Sammie great sandwich....fresh bread and fresh ingredients.

The selection (of Sammies) covers the hearty appetite. We order three types of Sammies (Pastrami, Ham, Turkey) and all were consistent with fresh bread and fixings. The owner was very personable and enthusiastic in helping us decide our choices as well as making our Sammies. If your looking for a 'sandwich' (Sammie) that is fresh and delicious...this is the place to go. We are looking forward to our next visit and want to try the soup as well. This is NOT a typical 'sandwich' franchise (not to name names) in that the bread and ingredients are very fresh...and the meat is thick and tasty. We don't usually rate a place so highly....we were so happy to discover this little gem....Julian and Maggie.

This little sandwich shop is AMAZING! I ordered the pastrami sammie. Wow! The bread was nice and fresh and soft, the toppings were perfect, and oooohhh the horseradish! Yum!! Their menu is small with maybe only a handful of sandwich choices, but it has just about everything most sandwich goers would want. We also ordered the grilled cheese sammie for my husband. He's a little on the picky side and said it was good, but lacked flavor for him. Whatever dude lol, I got a good one This is definitely a place I'll be back to. If you live, visit, work near, or have any reason at all to be in Oak Harbor, you gotta give them a try!

The delicious roast beef sammie. Excellent place. Wrote a review but yelp flagged it for no apparent reason.

The sandwiches here are on point. I had the roast beef and it was delicious. Lots of meat and great flavor. My gf got the grilled cheese and she let me have a bite and man was that good. The service there is very friendly. I believe I found a new sandwich shop to patronize.

Had a great time at Orlando's, especially during trivia night--it was fun and added a really good…read morevibe to the evening. The wait time was a little long, but the staff was friendly and welcoming the whole time. Cayleigh, the host up front, was especially sweet and made the wait more enjoyable. The food overall was solid. The chicken and mac and cheese were GREAT definitely the highlight of the meal. They didn't have any Brisket, but everything else made up for it. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Great atmosphere, good food, and a fun night out

I'm from Texas (so I know good BBQ) and my wife is from Georgia. When we heard there was a Southern…read moreBBQ place on this island while we were visiting we had to check it out. Food: Very good food. I ordered the brisket plate with creamed corn (brisket 9/10. Good flavor, good ring on it and flavorful + it wiggles which a good brisket slice should. Corn was pretty sweet but good). My only issue as a Southern spot it please include a slice of bread (white or texas toast + pickles with the meat plates.) the bbq is a homemade bbq sauce thats sooo darn good! Id buy a bottle or two! My wife ordered a brisket sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The brisket sandwhich was of course good with a buttery bun. The coleslaw (was lacking good flavor; not a fan personally). The fries were frozen fries and descent. We also had hush puppies; pretty good. Service: AMAZING service from Mia. Such a sweetheart and gem. She helped us make good picks from the menu. Ambiance: a very large building! When we went it was empty and during early day. Very clean, clean bathrooms and music playing. The look/feel gives more "country" vs southern. I was expecting to hear southern soul vibes on the music, and photos or items throughout that gave "southern bbq vibes". A dope touch would be dope photos of black or southern cowboys, and etc. lots of opportunity for a real down south vibe to be created. Overall- very pleased. I hope they have another 50+ years of business while stay true to their southern roots. Love love lovee

There is some street parking, but we ended up parking in a public parking lot north of the cafe. The place is cute and charming, and it's decorated with art that is for sale. The menu on the wall was just for drinks, and their food menu was laminated nearby for us to peruse. We had a nice chat with JJ (who I think is the co-owner), and he was very bubbly and nice. It was fun to witness his kindness to other customers and neighbors as they came in. This place seems very involved with the community. There are a few tables both outside and inside. The TV behind us was playing Pandora for radio music. Nearby, they had some free chocolate-covered coffee beans and your own water and silverware station. I got an Arnold Palmer, and boy, was it tart! I got my own sugar to try to sweeten it up. I also ate the Ricky Ricardo panini, and it wasn't my favorite. The aioli wasn't flavorful enough for me to notice, or maybe it was missing, and the pickles were too thick. I didn't love the flavor profile on this sandwich, and it was pretty hot (in temperature) to eat, so I had to let it cool down a bit. Connor loved his smoked salmon toast! There were a ton of capers, so lots of salt there. The herbed cream cheese was the star of the show, with the flavorful toast being a close second. He really appreciated it. I think I'd be happy to come back and try a different sandwich.

I was left speechless (not really) and had a dozen questions for JJ and Krista on Mother's Day about this specialty drink. It's such a hit that I had to buy their syrup for making millionaire bacon in the near future. Hubby ordered tea and the croissant sandwich. It was super filling. I liked the ambience, the people, the food and drinks so much we returned the next day and bought the same things, plus a two toned hoodie, and 3 desserts. Eldest daughter loved the tartness of the lemon bar. I enjoyed the bread pudding after warming it up in my toaster oven at home because I was too full to eat it there. The tiramisu cheesecake was mild and delicate, not overly heavy. The only critique I have is the blended berry Greek yogurt. It was a typical grocery store yogurt. Okay.
