Nice family run hip BBQ place. Great upstairs patio. It's got top notch food with decent portions. We've been multiple times and never disappointed. Nice beer selection. This is a great option in the reynoldsburg area.

Nothing to complain about. We were seated quickly, greeted friendly and quickly. We were the first on the balcony on a pretty day. This was our first time eating here and we were happy with everything that was brought to the table. Kelan, my husband, enjoyed his 1/2 slab of ribs and fried sweet potatoes. The ribs were so tender they literally fell off the bone when you picked them up. He said this was the first time he had ever eaten ribs with a fork. He said for extra sauce and they gave him just enough. The sweet potatoes fries with the house sauce was great. I had a smash burger with house cut fries, which for me was charred perfectly. Short menu but big flavors. Hearty and robust and ample. I ordered the Slow roasted rib dip with sweet potato fries and could eat only half of it. Others in my party ordered the rib sandwich, cheeseburger, regular fries, and grilled chicken salad. No complaints! Their fries are uniquely yummalicious. They're cut differently...almost like sliced. And they seem air fried but I'm not sure. They have a nice crisp on the edges but are slightly pliable and then sort of melt in your mouth. The regular fries and sweet potato, both. I'm sure to return but only when I can afford the calorie splurge.

They moved fast to convert the space in downtown Reynoldsburg to a comfortable space with warm furnishing and TVs everywhere. We were promptly seated and thoroughly enjoyed a juicy slab burger with crisp sweet potato fries and a side of slab sauce as well as a tender buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of ranch and crisp warm fries. A delightful experience with attentive service and fun food.

Decided to hit up SLAB at 7360 East Main Street in Reynoldsburg. I was greeted by Bryan and Terron when I entered. I first met them 6 years ago when they had just started a Food Truck. I was seated and my waitress Emily took my order. I ordered the SLAB Burger which is a beef patty, bbq back rib, Havarti cheese, onion straws and SLAB sauce on a Brioche Bun. I also HAD to order the Sweet Potato Fries. It was kind of ironic that my waitress Kia from over a month ago stopped by and said hi. Emily brought my food out. The burger is on a very nice Brioche Bun. All the ingredients worked well together to provide a great flavored sandwich. Of course I have to talk about the freshly made sweet potato fries, you add in the SLAB dipping sauce. OMG!!!! So flavorful of a dipping sauce. On to my server Emily. I was blown away by her. She grew up with the owners. She works a corporate job during the week. She refilled my water numerous times, even when it wasn't necessary and I had to ask why. She related that you never know when you're going to busy, you don't EVER want your customer to be without or waiting for a refill. I can't recommend SLAB enough. It's the food, service and owners that makes this restaurant one of the top places to go in town. Don't miss out, check out the gang at SLAB, you won't be disappointed.

Our experience at Slab was just okay. The portion sizes were noticeably small. I ordered the Diablo Burger, and unfortunately, it barely covered half of the bun and was overcooked. My husband had the Mahi Mahi sandwich, which was also on the smaller side. Both meals came with fries that were good, but we were surprised to find we were charged separately for them. Our daughter ordered the wings, which were actually a nice size and well-prepared. Service-wise, we didn't see our waitress much, but when we did, she was friendly. What really stood out, though, was how the owner personally greeted every table around us--some more than once--but never acknowledged ours. It left us feeling overlooked and unwelcome. To top it off, when we went to pay, we realized we had been overcharged. The waitress was kind when we pointed it out and corrected the mistake, but no one, including the owner, offered an apology. In fact, one of the owners seemed visibly irritated about having to adjust the bill. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning.

Located inside Eastside Brewing and I cannot say enough good things about them. Everything we've ordered as been incredible. On this visit it was a burger with Bier cheese and Mac and cheese which had wonderful flavor. So delicious!

The grilled chicken sandwhich was perfect. I am funny about my grilled chicken sandwhiches because it can turn out to dry or not cooked enough or just plain nasty. This truck has met my requirments not to dry not over cooked or under cooked and spiced right. They add some bbq sauce and tge pickle tomato and lettuce and they end up with a happy camper in me. I will be getting that again. I also dried the ribdip sandwhich. It was tasty but I think I would try the bbq version vrs just plain one per my taste buds. Im sure ill try there ribs soon and Im sure I will be back soon when they are in town read more

This is excellent food! The Eastside Brewery has a sports bar atmosphere and good drinks. The service from the Slab is really good and they'll help you with special orders. I love City BBQ. The ribs here are as good or better than City BBQ. read more

Omg! This food truck has shown me why ribs are so great. You want to talk about fall off the bone? We couldn't even get the bone out of the box without the meat falling off. Plus the BBQ sauce they put on the ribs tasted great. The ribs were full of flavor and there was a lot of food. I'm stuffed and didn't even finish my fries or the slaw. I'm very much impressed. This food truck came to our neighborhood for Friday night dinner and we ordered online. We got a text confirmation and then about 2 hours later, got a text saying our food was ready. When I got to the food truck, our food was already bagged up and ready to go. This was a great experience. The food was amazing. The text confirmations are awesome. They had a shortened version of their menu which I think was a great idea. And this was an actual food truck. I highly recommend! read more

The Rib Dip Sandwich. Jesus take the wheel. I mean really. This is what sandwiches were supposed to be. I was teetering between the mac and cheese and the sweet potato fries. Got the fries with the dipping sauce. While they were good I think they were either overcooked or maybe not fresh out of the fryer. I'll give them another whirl but next time I will try the mac and cheese. They have a lot of great options but now I'm at risk for being disappointed with anything else I get after the heavenly Rib Dip Sandwich. read more

The rib dip sandwich are what dreams are made of. This might be my new go to sandwich. I read a post on Facebook that someone said this sandwich made their eyes roll back in their head it was so good. That was accurate! Definitely worth checking it. Worth seeking out for some decidedly amazing food! The ribs were moist, tender, meaty and flavorful, and the sides, such as the Cole slaw, the sweet potato fries and the Mac and cheese are all freshly made. While you're at it, save room for the Slab Burger, cooked to order and topped with rib meat, onions and a really tasty sauce on a buttery bun. No matter what you choose, you won't go home hungry! read more

This is the best food truck in Columbus!! I initially tried the 1/2 rack of ribs and these were the best ribs I've ever had! Fall off the bone tender, awesome rub/sauce, and tastes amazing. They are huge as well so you are getting a ton of meat. I went back the next time and wanted to try a sand which so had the rib dip... SO GOOD. So glad to have a great BBQ food truck that I can get to regularly! Give these guys a try. read more

We were able to snag a slab burger when passing by a beer garden on Parsons Ave. This was one of the more unique burgers I'd ever had with rib meat on top of a burger. It lasted about 30 seconds total as I devoured it. The cooks were hilarious too. If you see this truck, pull over and grab a bite. read more

We have visited 4 times and EVERY meal was excellent. We have had the ribs, slab burger and my favorite, buffalo chicken sandwich. Getting nice outside , get out there, welcome spring and enjoy some GREAT food. We are visiting again Wednesday. Maybe we will see you there. We are the ones who are all smiles. Pulled up to the truck during quarantine and so happy they were open!!! The slab burger is the best of both worlds, both burger and rib on top. The buffalo chic sandwich is also BOMB and the bun is full of buttery goodness. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries and dipping sauce too. read more

We stopped at the food truck today to make sure we're supporting locals and oh my gosh the food is delicious... My wife stated this is probably the best barbecue she's ever had, She has the rib sandwich and I have the Burger rib sandwich! The two gentlemen operating the truck were wonderful!! These boys have it going on .. the wings are killer .. crisp on the outside .. juicy on the inside .. sauce is delicious. Rib sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries is worth the wait . Don't miss this small business everything is made to order. Highly recommend Slab food truck. These brother are attentive and have the best food . One of my favorite food trucks. The owners are warm and thoughtful and that comes through in their food. The rib dip sandwich is heavenly, the Mac and cheese is creamy, but the pasta isn't mushy. The Slab burger was crazy good and a great way to try the ribs. I have one small quibble and that's with the pork jus containers. The jus is hot enough to warp and sometimes breach the plastic container. I'm not advocating for styrofoam, but maybe there's another option? Overall, find this truck! read more

A member of our complex arranged for SLAB to come out for a few hours so we could get some take out. They parked in the back of the complex. They set us up to online order and sent a text when our food was ready. ( took preorders for familes of 4 or more the day before) Cones were set up to maintain our distance and they have a cc swiper they were disinfecting between customers. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. Had the Rib Dip Sandwich (rib meat and havarti w au jus!!) w fries and a cheeseburger w fries. 1 lb of wings, cooked perfectly. So friendly and professional. Would reccommend this truck to everyone! Anyone know if they have gluten free options? I know most smoked and bbq choices are until you get to rubs, spices, marinades etc. Obviously the Mac and Cheese is not but hey, I'm here for the meat.

I'll admit, I wasn't expecting much since we're not in Philly--but let me tell you, that first bite changed everything! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the cheese was just right, and the bread was the perfect texture--not too soft, not too hard. It was seriously delicious. The onion rings weren't your typical rings with raw onions inside--instead, they seemed more like a crispy, flavored version with a mild onion taste, which I actually preferred since I'm not a big fan of onions. We also ordered a cheeseburger meal for my kids (not listed on the menu but available), and my husband got the loaded Philly steak fries, which he really enjoyed. All in all, the food exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely come back, especially for that chicken cheesesteak!

Throw in a very dirty kitchen, and it finally broke my tolerance level to go back.

I went with 5 Bourbon Barrel wings and 5 Spicy Garlic, both bone-in. The Bourbon Barrel wings leaned sweet with a light bourbon note. Flavor was decent, but they were pretty light on sauce and didn't have much crisp for being fried -- honestly, they almost tasted baked. The wings also weren't very tender, and I had to work a bit to get the meat off the bone. And yes, I know some people would say "just get boneless," but I'm a bone-in guy -- the bone adds flavor, and boneless wings are usually more breading than chicken anyway. The Spicy Garlic had a nice kick and solid flavor, but unfortunately had the same texture issues as the Bourbon Barrel wings -- not crispy and not very tender. I also ordered blue cheese and celery. It was fine, but nothing special. The blue cheese flavor was pretty muted and didn't have that bold, tangy punch I usually look for. On the plus side, the steak fries were cooked correctly and did their job. One highlight was their Mardi Gras menu. We tried the beignets with bourbon maple glaze, and those were a pleasant surprise. They came out piping hot, dusted with powdered sugar, and while they're not a traditional beignet, the flavor was really good and easily the most memorable part of the meal. So was the experience great? I'd say it was good. The food was fine, serviceable, but not especially memorable. Would I come back? Probably -- just maybe not for the wings next time. But, let me add. We had Jordan as our server and he was a great server. He did an outstanding job!

The rib dipper comes with au jus, but it's been a total crapshoot - beef broth one time, super salty BBQ-flavored gudge the next, and a weak broth last visit . Sides are always cold, which is a bummer . My mom raves about the mahi-mahi, but even she's noticed the sauce changes each time. On the plus side, Michelle's service is top-notch ‍, and the atmosphere's got a chill, upscale vibe. The bar's a highlight, too . We decided to try this new restaurant, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the salad, and even though I'm usually not a big fan, it was one of the best I've ever had -- absolutely excellent. My husband had the rib sandwich and couldn't stop talking about how perfectly toasted the bun was. I ended up ordering a slab of ribs myself, and they were just as impressive. O M G. Let's start with the food. We had the wedge salad split. Fresh, well-presented, not over-dressed. Excellent. Then ... the Slab Burger ... husband a burger aficionado. He LOVED IT. Then ...
