Best spot in the South Bay to get bottomless mimosas. Great service and an equally friendly opportunity owner, I'd add to your list and most definitely get your reservations in. All the food was great and we sampled a variety. Recommend the Open Faced Omelet and the Chilaquiles!

Great experience. Fantastic service and amazing tasting food. Our whole table was making "yum" noises when trying our dishes. Four of us went in for Sunday Brunch and ordered from the breakfast/lunch menu. We ordered the Calamari, Vermont Maple Cinnamon Roll, Breakfast Bowl, Lobster Benedict, Broiche French Toast and Slay Steak Sandwich. The food did not disappoint. The front of house staff were great and provided excellent service. Checked on us on a regular basis; Cleared plates when we done; Made sure our drinks were filled. It was a great dining experience. The interior eating area we were at was smaller than I expected but it was very nicely decorated. Very chill but fancy vibe, perfect for Hermosa. They was an upstairs eating area that I didn't check out. The restrooms were very clean and nicely decorated.

We were the first people in on a rainy Sunday Morning. Tatum was our server, very warm and welcoming. It's a cute small space, tastefully and comfortably decorated. We started with the cinnamon roll which was fluffy warm and sweet, calamari was savory and crispy. Both 10-10..... that that I want to eat calamari and cinnamon rolls together...but when at Slay.... SLAY. I had the lobster Benedict and it was scrumptious. The side salad was actually one of my favorite parts, crazy good dressing. I had a bite of everyone else's dish. The Steak Sandwich- so savory and the fries were perfectly fried The brioche fresh toast literally melted in your mouth like butter. The bowl was harmonious flavors of all the yummy breakfast things. My coffee was so strong, I just had one cup. They served birthday ice cream at then which we all shared. My mother in law had a great birthday brunch.

What a cute and cozy restaurant. We were able to take advantage of their 3 course prime rib special (available on Sundays until they are sold out). Staff were friendly and helpful, and the upstairs patio was so comfortable. Literally less than a block from the beach and plenty of parking. If ever in the area, will be back to dine here!

I'm always looking for someplace new to have brunch. This restaurant is usually open at night, but open for brunch on the weekends. They have a small outdoor patio dining area. This is where I chose to dine because when I went inside to be seated, the place looked really small and crowded. I could barely even open the door to step in. I liked the table I was seated at outdoors, but the strangest occurrence was when the cook or one of the cooks walked in late to work, past my table. I'm glad I wasn't seated at the first table. Otherwise, everyone seated outdoors would be passing my table. Needless to say, unusual restaurant layout. My food and drink weren't bad. I can imagine how crowded and busy this place gets in the evening. Parking: Metered, street parking.

The Baseline: For a sit down upper-scale restaurant is the quality of the food, existence of any unique offerings, quality of the service, and ambiance of the overall dining experience. Food: There was not a single dish that we had at Slay Hermosa that wasn't great. Appetizers were the Fried Calamari and Watermelon Salad and wow to the salad. The Watermelon salad had an incredible white vinaigrette and tajin spice. Get this salad! The Double Smash burger was a solid burger. The entree star was the Pork Chop that was cooked perfectly and the bed of sweet corn risotto made it wonderful. For the finish was the Butter Cake that was warm and dense like I love it. Mixed with the ice cream with berry drizzle and my Cafe au Lait it was a perfect ender to the meal. Service: Fantastic top notch service that covered us for our visit. We were always asked at the right time if we needed anything. Also we got the best suggestions from our waiter. Ambiance: Hermosa Beach on a rooftop dining area right at sunset... perfect time to dine and all will be fine. Great setting for a great meal. Didn't use the restroom but it was getting cleaned when I left. The dining area was clean and the restaurant while compartmentalized is very serviceable.

Love the interior and atmosphere of this place! We came here for my birthday on a Sunday and luckily found parking near by. The food here was delicious, especially the lobster benedict, cinnamon roll, and the calamari!! Can't wait to come back to try their prime rib dinner!!

We celebrated a birthday with brunch at Slay Hermosa today. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we felt welcomed and were treated like valued guests. We were seated upstairs on their covered rooftop. Our group ordered several appetizers to share and individual dishes. My husband enjoyed his lobster Benedict, which had a generous amount of lobster. I wish I had ordered that after seeing it. Their pancake that we ordered was huge and delicious. I ordered the vegan kale and mushroom ravioli. It was good, but I'd try something else the next time. Our server was attentive and was quick to exchange plates and utensils as we needed them. Metered street parking was easy to find on a Sunday morning and a walk on the beach was just minutes away. I'm looking forward to returning for dinner in the near future.

So amazing! One of our family favorites!! I love the seating and atmosphere. The sole is some of the best fish I have ever tasted. Which is saying a lot because I would count myself a fish connoisseur. The people are always so nice and the restaurant is never overly crowded, but is always filled with friendly people. The roof top seating is very pretty with an amazing sunlit ocean view. All the slays are amazing but slay Hermosa is special.

We sat on their rooftop. It was a beautiful and sunny day but their roof deck was fully covered unfortunately. It would have been nice to let some sunlight in. The food was good. The burrata is served on top of a portobello mushroom, I had never tried this combination before but it works really well. Their omelettes were pretty good too. I really wanted to try the breakfast bowl but they ran out unfortunately. I'll have to come back and give it a try

Amazing experience tonight on the uppermost level of seating. Beautifully set up with several slivers of an ocean view. Tatum went above and beyond answering all of our questions and making sure we had everything we needed. Ordered the absolutely delicious Grilled Peaches and Burrata...with pistachios, a hint of mint and a delectable honey drizzle. This dish was so good and exemplified summer on so many levels!! We also ordered a side of the very fragrant corn risotto which was elevated with fresh herbs. My friend ordered the scallops which she said were some of the best she'd had. We got an order of the Parker House rolls which we truly didn't need but were delicious nonetheless. Overall this was a relaxing and memorable meal! So glad we had a chance to stop in! Thanks Tatum for your patience and the great service!

We chose Slay Hermosa for our Galentine's Brunch and it was absolutely amazing. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can sip unlimited mimosas for $25 (with a two-hour limit), and you get the whole bottle at the table. We chose orange and guava juice to mix with. We started with the thick-cut bacon appetizer, and it was delicious. The thick cut, fatty bacon paired with sweet strawberry jam and fried shishito peppers was a unique combination. For my entree, I went with the brisket grilled cheese, loaded with havarti, yellow cheddar, and that same delicious strawberry jam. While the brisket could have used a bit more seasoning, there was a great amount of cheese, and the flavors still worked well together. The fries were crispy, golden perfection with just the right amount of salt. The service was excellent. The staff was beyond accommodating, giving us an extra table just for our Galentine's gifts, taking photos for us, and making sure we had everything we needed the entire time. Slay Hermosa is right across from the beautiful Hermosa Beach. After brunch, we took a stroll to enjoy the ocean views--a perfect ending to a great brunch experience. I'll definitely be back!

Relaxed brunch spot, not busy on a saturday morning when all the other spots nearby are packed. Food is average so I would've given it 3/5 but the service makes up for the lost stars! Not bad but definitely underseasoned, needed lots of salsa to compensate. Staff is very friendly and attentive though!

Super attentive and explained the menu well, especially since we were sharing. The bread is a must get, we got a the ceviche (super tangy and good) and french onion toast. We opted for a few small dishes to share, including: - Kanpachi ceviche (4/5) very light and refreshing. Wish there were more of the fish, though - Sugar cube melon and lemon cucumber salad (5/5) super ripe cantaloupe and plenty of zing in every bite. My favorite dish! - Hand rolled spaghetti (3.5/5) it was a pesto spaghetti dish that was very flavorful, but I wasn't blown away by the handmade spaghetti: it could've been more al dente and the sauce didn't really taste like pesto; I tasted mostly lemon. A bit overly salty, too - Smoked and 1/2 fried chicken (3.5/5) the chicken was beautiful fried, with a thin yet hardy crackling interior that I hadn't quite had before in fried chicken. Sauce was sweet in its soy sauce base, but some cuts of meat were on the dry side - Coffee toffee pudding (3/5) probably the weakest of the bunch: we waited 8-10 minutes for it (as advertised), and it came in...a mug?? Not the most beautifully-presented, and overall, I did not get a lot of the pudding inside, mostly the toppings. Given that it's $12 for otherwise a microwavable dessert, it was disappointing - Chocolate flan (5/5) now this hit the spot! Honestly, it didn't even taste like flan, but rather a very smooth cheesecake. We're glad we added it on at the last minute! Overall, plenty of punchy flavors and innovative dishes that change monthly. However, the price point ($33+) per dish for such small plates is a bit much, but I can see myself returning for special occasions (and their breakfast burritos)!

From the incredible waterfront views to the amazing food and outstanding service, it made for the perfect date night. We started with the clam chowder and crab cakes, which were both fantastic. For our entrées, we had the Linguini Del Mar and the Petite Filet (added a side of peppercorn sauce), and every single bite was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The highlight of the evening, though, was our server, Greg. He made us feel completely at home from the moment we sat down. His recommendations were spot on, he was attentive without ever being intrusive, and when my girlfriend got a little chilly on the patio, he even brought her a blanket without us having to ask. It's those thoughtful little touches that truly elevate an experience. As the sun began setting over the marina, Alison Brecht performed live acoustic music that created the most romantic atmosphere. She even took a couple requests, including mine and my girlfriend's favorite songs. Sitting outside by the fire table, enjoying an incredible meal while listening to live music and watching the boats in the harbor, felt like something out of a movie. Between the outstanding food, exceptional service from Greg, beautiful waterfront views, and Alison Brecht's wonderful performance, this was one of the most memorable date nights we've had.
