What happened to the good service we used to have at this place? This used to be our go to for American Prime burger. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's been nicely renovated and very cute inside but wow did the service just go downhill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were waiting for over 15 minutes just to be seated. No workers anywhere! My husband even went to the bar area to look for someone to seat us...no one was around. A kitchen person came in (maybe starting a shift?), and he didn't even say anything. I've never had such bad service from this place before. Was all the workers taking a break, leaving all the customers to fend for themselves?

We had been coming here almost every other week. My son and my brother love their burger! My boyfriend and I usually would get the steak and eggs and the pasta 3 times the steak did not taste good. It had a weird taste. I did let them know and I don't think they even cared. I'm sure they must be getting their meat from a different source, IDK but it's just not the same meat it was before!! Also, one of the last times we came in I got avocado toast instead and this thing was tiny. I had gotten their avocado toast before and it wasn't the same bread either!! And still had the audacity to charge full price when it literally took 3 small bites to finish it. Not planning on coming back, there are many other great restaurants around!

    Steak Sandwich and House Fries

Stopped at this restaurant because Redwood Pie was over an hour wait. Got some guac and chips and meatballs to start. The guac lacked flavor, didn't have that tang and flavor that you would get from a Mexican place. The meatballs were decent, nothing to ride home about, feel like there could have been more spices added to it. The steak sandwich was the above average part of everything, steak was tender and they had some tomato and sauce in it to make this a solid sandwich. The house fries were pretty bad, it's like they tried something different and it's just not good. The fries are hard as a rock when you bite into them, it's like eating a chip. The flavor wasn't bad but let's just stick to regular fries please. Paid a hefty bill for all this, will not be coming back personally. Cup home made tomato soup (to DIE for)

Third time passing by this joint, we decided to check in. We were seated right away, our server was so kind, helpful and attentive. Teresa checked on us very often to see how we were enjoying the food. We had their "fish and chips;" "braised short rib tacos;" "seared ahi salad;" and their to die for "Cup home made tomato soup" No I didnt want to die yet coz it was soo delicious. Creamy thick not salty or too sweet but just right to make you slap whoever is in front of you. It came with toasted cheese bread which made the dish more interesting. My son ended up ordering his own. We were planning to talk about my sons hobby of painting but instead we talked, complimented and spoke highly about their soup. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of tables, next to the window, deeper inside and outside patio in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good for groups and a nice place to impress for a date or just to hang.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is quick, place is clean, no weird smells, spacious, clean restrooms, and parking will be challenging, lol![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Yes I highly recommend this place and don't forget to try their tomato soup. Yes were coming back with a bigger group for the soup.

Came here on a Sunday at brunch time and got a table outside. We made a reservation in advance. The spot was great and perfect for people watching. Felt upscale and relaxed. I tried the Caesar salad with chicken. And the truffle fries were delicious. Great ambience, food and service. Parking is challenging especially on a Sunday. We found street parking a block down.

    Such a cozy place

We came for the $2 burgers and were sold. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was great, the food delicious and the ambiance was like sitting in your living room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I forgot to take a picture of the truffle machine and cheese that was to die for. They were so good we forgot to take a picture. We will definitely come back for brunch.

I went in on this past Sunday (August 4th) in the early afternoon... after wondering the streets looking for parking. Helpful hint: they have limited parking in the rear. I didn't know this before I arrived so I parked on the street down by the Post Office. Kelly was my server I sat at the Bar and watched the Olympics. I had the Chilaquiles but that was only because I had the Eggs Benedict the day before at another restaurant. Chilaquiles had a great spicy flavor (not to much but enough) I asked for my eggs over easy and they came as I wished for. I had a side of the deep fried grits, it is the vessel the Eggs Benedict is served on, they didn't have a lot of flavor and I couldn't taste the cheese in them so I dropped it into my Chilaquiles bowl LMAO!! The Guava mimosa was refreshing. Kelly cared for me nicely as I sat at the bar by myself I watched as she made small talk with me and took care of other guests needs and kept on top of the servers orders. Atmosphere in here is so nice and relaxing I would definitely recommend a return... it was a overcast 73 degree day - which after coming from the IE (107 + degrees) it was welcomed. I've always passed by this place when heading down to the pier, however, never ate here thinking it was a basic food restaurant. To my surprise it was a cool place to have brunch! There's plenty of beers and cocktails to choose from plus the bottomless mimosas are a nice treat on the weekends. I tried the Chicken and Avocado Burrito Wet from their brunch menu. So delicious! Definitely try it wet as it adds so much flavor. The Healthy Steak Salad was excellent as well. Full of flavor and the hangar steak slices were so tender! The Truffle and Parmesan French Fries were good to share or pairs well with their Burger of the Day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place feels nice and airy with the back door open and the front open to the sidewalk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a rustic modern home feel with TVs to watch sports.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the idea of being able to sit in different areas (backyard, main dining area, smaller quieter back room, outside front patio or next to the fireplace).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It definitely accommodates different types of gatherings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I thought it was a cool space for kids with the free video game when adult conversations aren't as enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff checked on us frequently and made the day more enjoyable with their friendly demeanor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has a cool vibe with tasty food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll have to come back during dinner or to try out their $2 Tuesday burgers.

We stumbled upon this beautiful gem while traveling up the California coastline on a mini-vacation, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The service was outstanding, some of the best we experienced in California. The entire team made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was incredible, but the food somehow managed to top it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Rockefeller Mess was packed with flavor, and the Gourmet Burger absolutely did not disappoint. And whatever you do, don't skip the bread pudding...it was rich, warm, and easily one of the best desserts we had on the entire trip. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near the area!

We loved the atmosphere and location, very chill with just enough upscale vibe to keep it authentic. The menu options were creative and amazing! The mango mojito was interesting, not much mango flavor, but tasty nevertheless. The burger was perfection as was the fired zucchini, I especially liked that they were real thick cuts not the thinner too-fried crummy soggy versions I have seen many times before. The fried chicken sandwich was well prepared and tasty as well. There are numerous good choices here! The service was just average though, as our nice server forgot to follow up on a couple of things and apparently went on a long break without getting someone to fill in so there was no one to help for over 25 minutes. All in, it was a good experience overall, the staff was friendly and helpful when asked, my only other comment/critique is that the portions were on the smaller side for the price points, at least include a small side dish option with the sandwiches, just saying!

    Chicken and waffles
    Angel M.

Service was good but my chicken and waffles were mid. The boneless chicken breast cutlets were a little dry and lacked flavor. Also, I would have preferred a whole piece of fried chicken and a better presentation of the food. I wouldn't order it again.

The food was quite lackluster across the board, unfortunately, but I would come back for dessert and a drink. Having a reservation seems like a must, as there isn't much seating. Seems like a good place for mid-sized groups of 4-6 people. Price point was a bit on the higher end, especially considering the food we had. I don't think a single dish inspired me to "write home about." Lots of fusion stuff that just didn't hit how it should. Fox and Farrow is connected to another bar with a very different ambiance - more like a sports bar, from what I remember - and they were rowdy while watching a sports game. We ended up hanging over there after our meal.

Great place for a large group dinner…read more... Came here for my friend's birthday dinner, and it was great. Our waiter was the man. Super attentive and explained the menu well, especially since we were sharing. The bread is a must get, we got a the ceviche (super tangy and good) and french onion toast. The pork and rib eye were our favs. So tender, perfectly charred. The coffee toffee pudding dessert was also a must get. Will be back for future large group dinners.

We opted for a few small dishes to share, including: - Kanpachi ceviche (4/5) very light and refreshing. Wish there were more of the fish, though - Sugar cube melon and lemon cucumber salad (5/5) super ripe cantaloupe and plenty of zing in every bite. My favorite dish! - Hand rolled spaghetti (3.5/5) it was a pesto spaghetti dish that was very flavorful, but I wasn't blown away by the handmade spaghetti: it could've been more al dente and the sauce didn't really taste like pesto; I tasted mostly lemon. A bit overly salty, too - Smoked and 1/2 fried chicken (3.5/5) the chicken was beautiful fried, with a thin yet hardy crackling interior that I hadn't quite had before in fried chicken. Sauce was sweet in its soy sauce base, but some cuts of meat were on the dry side - Coffee toffee pudding (3/5) probably the weakest of the bunch: we waited 8-10 minutes for it (as advertised), and it came in...a mug?? Not the most beautifully-presented, and overall, I did not get a lot of the pudding inside, mostly the toppings. Given that it's $12 for otherwise a microwavable dessert, it was disappointing - Chocolate flan (5/5) now this hit the spot! Honestly, it didn't even taste like flan, but rather a very smooth cheesecake. We're glad we added it on at the last minute! Overall, plenty of punchy flavors and innovative dishes that change monthly. However, the price point ($33+) per dish for such small plates is a bit much, but I can see myself returning for special occasions (and their breakfast burritos)!
