Sat right near the marina to catch the sunset !
    Emily G.

My girlfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at Sea Level Restaurant & Lounge, and it was everything we hoped for and more. From the incredible waterfront views to the amazing food and outstanding service, it made for the perfect date night. We started with the clam chowder and crab cakes, which were both fantastic. For our entrées, we had the Linguini Del Mar and the Petite Filet (added a side of peppercorn sauce), and every single bite was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The highlight of the evening, though, was our server, Greg. He made us feel completely at home from the moment we sat down. His recommendations were spot on, he was attentive without ever being intrusive, and when my girlfriend got a little chilly on the patio, he even brought her a blanket without us having to ask. It's those thoughtful little touches that truly elevate an experience. As the sun began setting over the marina, Alison Brecht performed live acoustic music that created the most romantic atmosphere. She even took a couple requests, including mine and my girlfriend's favorite songs. Sitting outside by the fire table, enjoying an incredible meal while listening to live music and watching the boats in the harbor, felt like something out of a movie. It was the perfect backdrop for celebrating our anniversary. Sea Level exceeded every expectation we had. Between the outstanding food, exceptional service from Greg, beautiful waterfront views, and Alison Brecht's wonderful performance, this was one of the most memorable date nights we've had. We can't wait to celebrate here again. We will most definitely be back soon and could not recommend this lovely restaurant more if you're in the area !

We are here about two weeks ago for happy hour finally made it back for brunch. Nikki had to have more of the chicken empanadas that she loved. I got the eggs with the short rib, hash with hollandaise sauce. Hands-down, one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Service was excellent sitting on the marina is always a beautiful view. I'll be back again tonight for some happy hour. This is definitely becoming one of my go to places.

We enjoyed lunch in the cool Air Conditiod dining room overlooking the marina. Charles our server was wonderful and we enjoyed our meals very much- especially the crispy salmon!

Celebrated my birthday brunch here with my boyfriend and our kids. The day was a bit chilly but we wanted to sit outside for the view of the Marina. The host was very accommodating and immediately turned on the warmers for us which made it a perfect balance while sitting outside. There was live music which gave a nice brunch feel. We all enjoyed our food. We ordered a cinnamon roll (not pictured, the kids dug right into before a photo). In my opinion I was not consistent with the others that were brought out to other tables. Ours did not come with much vanilla glaze or walnuts on top. We noticed some did and others didn't. Was a little disappointed about that. Would definitely come back for dinner

Adding this happy hour to my South Bay list! $11 for a good selection of appetizers and drinks The spicy tuna crispy rice is solid, just wish there were more pieces. The grilled pear and burrata was so refreshing! LOVE how they didn't skimp on the arugula and the acidity of the vinegar dressing paired well with the burrata and onions. I would definitely come back for the happy hour, and the view of the marina isn't too bad either!

Started out disappointing since it took so long to get seated Found something floating in my glass of water ... no apology! Lychee martini did put me in a better mood along with the pleasant surroundings Their happy hour menu was quite impressive since it included so much and great prices too The meatballs and sauce was exceptional. Fresh crustini too Solid calamari and good spicy tuna on crispy rice. Their specialty Peruvian soup was a real flop. Lacked flavor or anything distinctive The sunset was a nice end Valet parking available in lot but there is street parking too

We came for their shade (happy) hour, which is from 3-6pm daily. We tried a bunch of different appetizers, all $10. We got the spicy tuna on crispy rice which was delicious for its price point! It came with four pieces and was well flavored We also got the Italian meatballs. It came with three giant meatballs, and a piece of grilled sourdough bread meat was very tender and well seasoned. We also tried the crispy calamari which came with a pretty good amount to share and this interesting chili aïoli. Lychee martini, which is also $10 and it was not too sweet and not too strong. I really enjoyed the elder flower liquor. The service was quite slow. We had to wait a long time for our food to come. What time are the restaurant was pretty full

Went here for brunch with my family. They have a lot of great gluten free options and a great brunch menu. I got the avocado toast, really enjoyed that they had burrata on it. Service was pretty good. Would definitely go back.

Came here for dinner with friends and had such a great time! We sat outside for the views, and when it started getting cold, the staff was super attentive and brought over a heater for us right away. The food and service were both amazing. Their menu is pretty big, but our server was really helpful, answered all our questions, and checked in often to make sure we were good. We ordered the Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice, the Chopped Salad with Smoked Salmon, and the Honey Heat Pizza -- everything was so good. There's a ton of variety, so it's easy for everyone to find something they like. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu!

Enjoyed a fine meal at their outdoor patio. My family and I brought our 2 small dogs with us for a lunch while the weather was warm and breezy. We did not have reservations (which is recommended if you have pups so they can be sure to have a table for you!), but the host was able to find us a seat within minutes. I assume the reservation helps if you wanted a table facing the marina, which was not a big deal for us anyways. Once we were sat, we were able to enjoy the singing from the live artist and enjoy the breeze in the shade. I noticed it did take a while for our server to arrive, but that would be only meh observation! The food was tasty and plentiful once they came out. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos and the server recommended the blackened vs the fried version. Definitely recommend the blackened mahi mahi if you're about the flavor, like I am! Side note for the raw bar, they do have what is available per the season. I was expecting to devour a plate of oysters while I was browsing their Yelp, but they had fresh scallops instead. Honestly, no complaints because the scallops were delicious and soothed the oyster craving I had. Finally, they were able to provide a water bowl for my pups. No dog menu and could not see what I could order that could be dog friendly. Not the end of the world, of course. More as an fyi for the puppy parents out there!

Coastal Chic Dining & Drinks at Sea Level If you're looking for one of the best waterfront vibes in Redondo Beach, Sea Level at the Shade Hotel is a spot to try! I stopped by recently, and the entire experience was exactly what you'd want for a quintessential South Bay afternoon. I went with the Blackened Mahi Tacos, and they did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of kick, complemented by a fresh, crunchy slaw and a delicious crema. It's exactly the kind of light, flavorful meal you want when you're sitting right on the water. The outdoor seating here is the real star. You're perched right above the marina, which makes it an incredible spot for a date or a relaxed lunch. Even when the ocean breeze picks up, they have the fire pits and heaters going to keep things cozy. It feels upscale but still has that effortless, beachy elegance. The service was attentive, and the view is unbeatable. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this is a great place to go if you want to feel like you're on vacation for an hour or two.

The views here are just simply amazing. It's right by the docks! You can also see seals swimming in the water which also made it calming. I was a little turned off by the host when I arrived as I came from a distance away. I let him know that my party had reservations and I might be a little early. He looked at me and said I was REALLY early and didn't have a table ready. He didn't offer me to stay at the bar or to have a seat inside. Instead, I had to ask if I could sit outside to wait for my party. Please keep in mind the place was dead. Literally nobody inside and maybe a couple of people by the patio. Fries and clam chowder was good, waiter could have also been better. Our party had to keep asking for refills instead of them automatically filling our cups or asking if we wanted refills.

The attentive staff got us seated right away, and after browsing through their menu, we ordered the following items (arrived in 15 minutes) : Marine: The buckwheat outer layer was soft, not soggy, and with nice resistance. The light creamy tomato-based dressing with sliced mushrooms was pleasantly flavorful. Both shrimp and scallops were of good size, fresh and juicy. Fromage: Like Marine Crepe, the buckwheat out layer was soft. The mild brie cheese provided pleasant creaminess to the filling. But the vibe was a bit off with the low playing Spanish music, I would imagine if they had more pop music or upbeat music to fit the vibe of the place they'd have more of a fun vibe. Not that there is anything wrong with Spanish music, it just wasn't jiving with the vibe of the place and was so low and not so up beat (romantic Spanish ballads were playing). The laminated menus also gave an old diner vibe instead of trendy "serendipity" vibe. I'll still come back to see if they can match the vibe to the decor and try a few other menu items, but I do hope they up the ambiance. And get that extra star status!

Service was friendly, and prices are reasonable with generous servings. Overall, a charming spot for brunch or celebrations with family and friends.

Service was fast and everything was delicious. I love that the burger is also house made and not a processed plant based patty. The cake was good not overly sweet but a little dry. Overall I will back to try more items when I'm in town

As fellow vegans know, options at non-vegan establishments are often limited, so it takes us about…read more2.5 seconds to "decide" what we want (aka make substitutions or pick the one vegan thing on the menu). Having said that, it's often easy for me to make a decision at a vegan restaurant because I go in knowing what I want. Let me say that going into The Grain Cafe, I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THE AMOUNT OF OPTIONS THEY HAD. Was this my fault for not doing my research beforehand?! For not craving a particular taste? Anyway... after (literally) 20 min of sitting and staring at the menu, I finally decided on a Cobb salad. I know, I know. Judge me all you want. But after not having a Cobb salad for almost 7 years (probably even more), I was craving something incredibly....... boring? But this was not. It was actually exactly what I was looking for in a Cobb salad. Protein. Greens to make me feel healthy. Enough space in my stomach for a dessert. I was extremely happy with my decision. I also had a tres leches cake which was delish (tbh I'll probably get the red velvet next time just to say I had it) The service is amazing. The people who work here are so sweet and attentive and helpful. Can't wait to come back and try their other items. Maybe I'll even do my homework next time!
