Not the best place to get pizza but if you are drunk and looking for a "slice" of pizza near by, the supreme pizza is mouth watering. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. I like their thin crust pizza. Flavor is good. Not too salty. The service is efficient and friendly. I love sitting outside since it is on the street with much less traffic than on the main road. Carrying a conversation while enjoying sunshine is not a problem at all while sitting outside. The lasagna is rich and heavy, and I only order it when it is colder outside and I am really hungry. I always build my own pizza because I am a picky vegetarian. I noticed that they don't offer single slice for some of their signature pizza. Read the menu carefully. Friday evening can be really busy. I had lunch on weekdays several times, they are not very busy and food comes quickly, which is good for going out with coworkers. One of my fav hangouts and right outside my door. I go in there for a couple of slices of their NYC-style pizza and a beer or cider. Always cozy, companionable, good, friendly service. This is a nice spot down a relatively quiet downtown Atlanta street. The owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome, even though the place was pretty busy. The pepperoni pizza was good, not great, but was fairly priced. The pitchers are beer were also fairly priced ($13 for Peroni and $9 for Miller Light). The breadsticks were average, but I would not order them the next time I go back. Some of the other pizzas I saw looked very good, so it might be worth ordering something a little more interesting next time. read more

I've actually been coming to this particular location for several years. I lived on the block just as long as it was originally opened. I recently left ATL back in September but came back for the weekend to hang with some friends. My first option to meet up for some drinks and food before hitting the city that night was Slice. Bartender still remembered me and basically felt like I never left. Food has always been good. Pizza slices are sizable and the pasta portions are as well. Great sauce which basically defines Italian food and cozy setup whether you sit inside or outside. Even caught an NBA playoff game on the flat screens while I was there. One of my personal ATL staples that I continue coming back to even after I left. read more

Hey it's your boy again!!!! Down here visiting the ATL!!! I'm in Atlanta spending time with my son but apparently he can't hang with the big dog. He crashed & burned hours ago so I left him counting sheep back at the hotel. That's way I'm I'm here at (Slice) dining alone watching 2 women beat the crap out of each other ( Relax its the UFC ) there professional athletes lol. Well anyway I got a little famished so I decided to try this pizzeria/bar plus it was walking distance from the hotel. I must say the pizza wasn't bad at all. I order 2 build your own slices with chicken, mushrooms & garlic toppings. The slices we're huge so 2 slices was more then enough for me. It was hot & fresh it didn't taste like it was sitting under a heat lamp for 10 hrs. The only thing I didn't particularly care for was the crust. It was a little to hard for my liking. I had a very positive experience at Slice. I purchased their Groupon and went on a Tuesday afternoon. The place looks clean, and service was fast. The pizza was delicious!! It's a very good place for a quick bite to eat if you want just a slice or two, or you can order a full pie and enjoy the atmosphere. My friend and I split bread sticks and a 16' pizza. We were VERY full from all of it. Everything was cooked properly and their mozzarella sauce was especially good. I will definitely go back when I'm in Downtown. read more

Slice was a pleasant surprise. We were attending a show at the TAB and planned on just grabbing a snack at Ted's. We ended up getting there later than planned and teds was packed so we wandered over to Slice. they had a good beer selection. One of the only places around that carries Hennepin around town. I had the veggie lasagna. It was so big i couldn't finish it all, but came out perfectly hot and melty. He had a turkey reuban and ate every bite. Great little happy spot where the girls are running the show with smiles and good attitudes. Wanna bar bar? Go next door to Sidebar. Come here for simple food and drink with a fun crowd. I am a GSU music student and Slice is conveniently located on the same block as my building. I'm glad because they offer great pizza and casual eat-in. Slice also offers GSU students a $10 special for a large with one topping. The food itself seems to always fresh cooked and I have yet to experience a mistake or badly prepared pizza. You will wait longer here, don't expect a quick in-and-out like you would at Rosa's. I believe this is due to making pizzas fresh and not keeping tons of precooked slices sitting around. Would recommend, especially if you are a GSU music student. read more

This is a pretty chill place hang out, take a load off and relax with your friends. Servers and bartenders are very nice and courteous, people there are social, mostly cause it's around the college area. My husband and I visited this restaurant on yesterday around 6 pm. We had a voucher we purchased to have a meal there. There were many things that were not up to par with this place. I didn't like that people are allowed to smoke in the restaurant. I also didn't like that the service was extremely slow and inattentive. We wanted the vegetarian lasagne but they didn't have any which was weird since they had only been open for 6 hours and were already out of lasagne. Then the server didn't bring the bruschetta we ordered. She only brought the pizza. (She didn't charge us for the bruschetta). Each time we were low on drinks, we had to get her attention to ask for a refill. A good server would have noticed an empty glass. Once she was right at our table with our pizza and didn't notice my cup was empty even though it was sitting on the corner front of the table. Also, when she brought the pizza, she didn't bring any plates. I had to ask the bartender for plates. The pizza was good. That is the only good thing I can say about this trip to this restaurant. But unfortunately, that isn't enough to make my husband and I re-visit. We will definitely spend our money somewhere else. Service is key for me. And the service here was almost non existence. read more

Being a music student at GSU, I've spent my fair share of time at Slice (this location is conveniently on the same block as the main School of Music buildings). The food is reliably good, and all the servers I've interacted with have been friendly. The $10 large one-topping for GSU students is a godsend-- my friends and I usually get it with garlic as our topping, and it's amazing. My only complaint is that the service on busy nights, particularly Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights (or nights when there are events going on in the general area), moves at a glacial pace. That being said, I'll definitely keep coming back due to Slice's winning combo of convenience and quality. read more

Not friendly, and not kid-friendly. Manager (or whoever she was) abruptly stopped us at the door when we tried to stroll our kids and family in around 5. Apparently this "pizza" place is 18+ after a certain time and allows smokers. At least she recommended Rosa's Pizza on Broad Street, which was only a couple of blocks away. Okay...so the pizza was delicious and the slices were huge but the service was terrible! When my small group of 3 came in, there may have been 2 other groups in the restaurant yet we had to try to get the servers attention to order our drinks. She was busy laughing and chatting with a few of the bar customers and the other servers. I have no problem with people who have a good time at work but can I get some food please? We had to catch her attention again to order our food and later to order more drinks. There were others customers with the same problem.
