After having an amazing experience at the fountain valley location, I was excited to try this location closer to home, unfortunately I was severely disappointed. I got the a slice of the Rosa pizza and it was awful, it was just a huge greasy mess I ended up throwing more than half away it completely ruined my appetite with how oily and greasy it was. I also got the chocolate chip cookies which were okay, they were chewy but the type of cookie they are. There was plenty of seating mainly outdoors but still some seating inside.

Impossible parking. Not cheap I normally pay $6 or $7 bucks for a pizza slice with a drink, here they want $14.55! And what for, I did not finish (See photo). Terrible crust man. I Threw mine in the trash. I'll happily stick with Bronx pizza or Long Island mikes.

I was excited to come back and get a pizza to go. After asking about the different styles, I decided on Detroit barbecue chicken pizza. The wait was a little bit longer considering the crust which is thick. It's also a rectangle. There's a cozy interior dining area but a great outdoor patio! There's also some high tables you can stand and eat at. It was later in the evening so parking was a challenge, but I scored a close spot. The whole area is so different now. When I got home, I couldn't wait to eat! My car smelled so good on the drive. The pizza is a good size, however, for the price, I expected way more toppings, especially the chicken and bacon. So it was more like thick squares of bread with a sprinkle of the toppings. The flavor was good but I expected more. The staff is really friendly! And I'll consider coming back and trying something else but I'm not in a hurry.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town, and decided to stop here for a slice after a day of travel. The man who took our order was super nice and easy to talk to, and helped us make decisions on the best drinks to pair with our pizza. I had the Sweet Gino and a canned margarita (which was better than I thought it might be!). Pizza was great, service was quick, and we enjoyed sitting outside with the nice cool breeze. It was especially nice that they were busy, but the line moved quickly and we didn't have much wait at all before we ate.

Let me start with the food, because overall it was actually very good. The vodka pasta was excellent -- rich, flavorful, and easily the standout dish for me. The caprese salad was fresh and well-balanced, and the veggie pizza was also well prepared with a surprisingly good crust that had the right texture and flavor. That said, there were some frustrating and honestly confusing limitations with the menu. Apparently the only pizza options are pork-based toppings or veggie. No grilled chicken option. No ability to add chicken on top or even order it on the side. That makes absolutely no sense to me in a modern restaurant setting. As someone allergic to pork, I can't eat pepperoni, sausage, or bacon, so the lack of any alternative protein option felt unnecessarily restrictive and a bit out of touch. Unfortunately, the bigger issue was the service. My friend Ali -- second from the right in the photo -- asked one of the gentlemen working there if he could help carry a few additional items out to the table for her. She has a medical condition that happened to flare up that day, so this wasn't simply about convenience. His response was: "We do, but it's right there so you can take it." That interaction honestly left a bad impression. Especially because it appeared that this type of courtesy may be extended to some guests but not others, based on criteria that frankly wasn't clear. Hospitality is often measured in the small moments, and this felt like a missed opportunity to simply show kindness and basic customer care. It's unfortunate because the kitchen genuinely did a great job. The food deserved praise. But service matters just as much as what comes out of the oven, and in this case the service experience is ultimately what cost this place several stars for me. PS: I forgot to mention there were no wings on Memorial Day. It was disappointing.

Tucked in little Italy and definitely a hot spot for something quick! Hard to enjoy eating in because the music was blasting so loud I'm talking about club status. Mind you, it's the weekend so I get it your trying to go for that vibe but there a lot of patrons from very young to old and it may not be their scene. Ordered a combo Americana and you could tell the toppings were super fresh. Nothing really stood out for me to come back again unfortunately. The cashier employee was definitely stressing during their rush hour and not so friendly. Also literally a small condiment container for a Caesar salad?

Ridiculous, This was pizza experience! This is pizza if it went to the gym and was on HGH! Different styles to choose from which is cool, from several deep dish to NY style. I went Detroit- Motörhead. I've never had a more crispy crust. My wife had a slice w Sesame crust ( Americas finest) and my daughter did margarita. All delish. Great sides like hot honey to table side Tony G hot pepper olive oil. We needed the arugula bacon because we're such health nuts. Great salad. Fantastic

Tried the lunch special, which is $12 and it comes with either a cheese or pepperoni slice, a soda, & a very small salad. The salad leaves a lot to be desired. Imho, I thought the pizza was just ok. The staff was very nice. Parking is tough during busy times. It's on Kettner in Little Italy. They do have a nice outside space, if you're looking to sit outside.

Wow, wow, WOW!!! It's no wonder that Slice House is expanding from just over 30 stores, to more than 150+ establishments within the next 3 years. Growth doesn't always signify results, but as long as their pumping out pies like these, with managers like Marco, they're sure to keep on winning! The Sicilian style Burrata Queen may just be the best pizza you've ever had, no hyperbole. I'd say it's definitely more than worth the hassle of parking in LIttle Italy. Shoot, walk, run, Uber, bike, whatever it takes, hustle your buns down here and get one of these pies-CAPICHE! Sicilian Burrata Queen- Unlike any other pizza I've eaten before; it is truly divine. The focaccia like crust is pillowy soft and airy, enticing you to take bite after bite. The burrata, mozzarella, and ricotta cheeses provide a sensual blanket clutching that bright pesto and spicy chili oil like it was your momma's pearls. Wowza! This pie sings in your mouth, like for real. I suggest you get it "double cut" because these slices are HUUUGE. When double cut, the pie get sliced into 12 robust slices. At ~$39 bucks for the pie, it's not cheap, but it truly is worth every penny. The Queen's meaty partner in crime is The Wiseguy, which I recommend to get on the NY style crust. Holy cow is this thing huge. Stacked with pepperoni, sweet and spicy Italian sausage, ricotta, mozzarella, green onion, and hot pepper oil...YES PLEASE! This meaty monstrosity hits like Mike Tyson in his prime. Plus their NY style crust is full of flavor, no bland or boring crust on this bad boy. I also recommend getting this ~$39 pie double cut. After enjoying a few Slice House pies, my mom vows to never eat another pie other than Slice House. She literally scoffed at the sight of one of those pizza ads you see on television. Honestly, she can't stop talking about it; she's mentioned everyday since we tried it this past Friday night. Thanks to Marco and the crew for throwing down some absolutely EPIC pies. I'll see you all again soon...very soon. Oh and btw, if you use the InKind app, you know the gift cards that you buy at Costco for $75 in exchange for $100 InKind bucks, you likely score 20% credit back in the app when you make your purchase. Enjoy!

My friends and I were at a nearby event and had been craving some pizza afterward, so we went to slice house and we're absolutely obsessed. In full transparency, finding good pizza in San Diego is extremely difficult. I was very excited to try this pizza because it looked like the type of pizza I can get on the East Coast, and it was really really good. The pepperoni was had the perfect kick to it, and the cheese was incredible as is. The owner came out to greet some people from the event was extremely kind, supportive, and excited to ramp up the energy for a local business opening Nextdoor. I wanted to support him because of the energy he gave to the opening spot Nextdoor, and I'm glad we did because we will 100% be returning for this amazing pizza. It felt like a true NYC or east coast pizza parlor, clean, nothing too fancy, but a bit more modernized. Absolutely recommend

We're back @ Slice House by Tony Gemignani! And once again, it did not disappoint! Located on Kettner Blvd in the heart of Little Italy. It's no wonder these guys are 13-time world pizza champions! They truly offer an unparalleled diverse menu from Detroit style to New York style to one of my all time favs- The Burrata Queen (artisan style). The Burrata Queen is a culinary masterpiece! Handcrafted, premium ingredients, a perfectly balanced, wood-fired pizza! The crust was the star of the show, crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. And the fresh mozzarella (melted and gooey) with a generous amount of pesto drizzle and hot honey truly made for a delicious sensory experience! Not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best pizzas I've had- ever! Service is always on par! Prices are reasonable and the vibe is chill and laid back. Definitely come check these guys out! It's totally worth it!

Came around 12:30 pm on a Saturday and there was a slight line to order. My sister and I shared 3 slices and we were stuffed! -America's finest slice (4.5/5): simple and tasty, not overly salty. The sesame seed crust was crispy and unique but good -Combo Americano (4.5/5): I like that it came with both meats and veggies, not overly salty as well, crust was thin and crispy -Traditional (4/5): the thick and crunchy Sicilian style crust was delicious! Loaded with sausage and pepperoni but a bit too salty for me Prices per slice are a bit pricey but the slices are big and fresh. I like that they heat up the slices. The girl working was nice and cut all of our slices in half for sharing without us even asking! A pretty small spot with limited indoor seating but lots of outdoor patio seating and some standing tables.

Yummy pizza! Came for a Sunday lunch and waited a few mins to order. I split 3 slices with my sister. The girl working was so nice and cut all of them into half so we could share! I liked that they also heat up your order. The NY style slices were perfectly thin and crispy. For almost $8 a slice, it's a bit pricey but they are a generous size and tasted hot and fresh. America's Finest Slice (4/5): simple and delicious, the pepperoni had a nice crisp. I wasn't a huge fan of the ricotta. The sesame seed crust was interesting but good! Combo Americano (4.5/5): I enjoyed the variety of toppings, especially the veggies since the other slices didn't have much lol. Salami wasn't my favorite Traditional (4/5): a bit salty, but I like the thickness and crunch of the Sicilian style crust. Sausage was juicy and thick

My oldest ordered the salmon salad, and the creamy dressing was light, fresh, and full of flavor. The salmon portion was on the smaller side but cooked perfectly. My youngest got a "small" order of spaghetti Bolognese (there's no kids' menu), and she cleaned her plate. We also ordered the house bread, which our server explained is baked fresh to order, so it took a little extra time--but it was worth the wait. The seasoned olive oil dip was incredible, and the butter was rich and creamy. The only thing I personally missed was a side of balsamic vinegar. The drinks were just as impressive: a refreshing lavender mocktail for my oldest, a beautifully presented strawberry lemonade for my youngest, and their take on an Aperol Spritz for me. All three were refreshing and a perfect complement to the meal. Great food, wonderful service, and a spot we'll happily return to!

We substituted the tagliatelle ragu with pappardelle pasta since we already had fettuccine and I liked that a lot. When the pasta came out, our server asked if we wanted cheese on the pasta to which we said yes, and then he forgot to bring us cheese so we had to ask the hostess standing outside. Not sure if it was because we were quite literally the only table outside.

Nothing was necessarily bad. it was just surprisingly bland. For a dish that's usually rich and comforting, this one felt forgettable. Pesto Pasta: 7/10 This was decent and definitely better than the ossobuco, but it wasn't anything I'd go out of my way to order again. The pesto was enjoyable, and I appreciated that it wasn't overly acidic. Beyond that, it didn't really stand out. The cocktails were good, the service was fantastic, and the complimentary limoncello cake was delicious. That said, when there are so many great Italian restaurants in the area, I don't see myself returning. I left feeling like the food was more hype than substance. Food: 5/10 Service: 10/10

The Beef Brasato Pappardelle was flavorful with a good amount of meat, while the Bucatini Amatriciana was sour and not enjoyable. The Parmesan Truffle Fries were disappointing- they were hollow and airy with barely any potato or truffle flavor. The burnt Brussel sprouts were actually burnt (ha), the grilled octopus was dry with very little meat, the hamachi crudo was okay, the wagyu carpaccio was alright but didn't taste like wagyu, and the Jidori chicken fra diavolo wasn't worth the price. The service was absolutely outstanding--friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was some of the most authentic Italian cuisine we've ever had, and every dish was delicious. The desserts were just as incredible and were the perfect way to end the meal. If you're looking for amazing Italian food with exceptional service, I can't recommend this place enough. We'll definitely be back before we head home!

Without hesitation, he poured me a glass of Prosecco, invited me to wait outside, and assured me he'd have a seat for me in just a few minutes. Sure enough, about two minutes later, he came out and seated me. This restaurant made you feel like you were in Italy with the ambiance and vibe. I had done my research beforehand, so I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the lasagna, and it was absolutely incredible. The portion was generous, and my server let me know it would take a little extra time to prepare, which was perfectly fine. It didn't take long for me to realize that the man who seated me was also the owner. As I watched him greet guests throughout the evening, it was obvious that he genuinely loves what he does. We had a great conversation, and he was warm, welcoming, and personable. After finishing my meal, I ordered a double espresso and tiramisu for dessert. The tiramisu was easily one of the best I've ever had. Exceptional food, outstanding hospitality, and a memorable experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
