Amazing pizza as usual High quality ingredients, great for a quick eat, and consistently good.

Amazing pizza as usual High quality ingredients, great for a quick eat, and consistently good.

Burnt, dry and mostly inedible.

I'll start by saying that when we first started ordering from here, the pizza was consistently good. Fresh, well-made and delicious. Lately, it's been hit or miss. There have been orders where the toppings were skimpy or missing, and orders where the pizza was undercooked. I don't like writing reviews, especially if they're on the negative side, but tonight I couldn't skip a review. It was that bad. We decided to order a different style, with different toppings. A grandma style BBQ chicken. A full third of this pizza was inedible, Absolutely burnt on the bottom and outside edges. I couldn't even bite through it. It was a sad, dry, burnt pie. I know the difference between "caramelized" and burnt. This was burnt. If we lived closer, I would have brought it back to the restaurant, but we are a 15-20 min drive away. For nearly $40 a pie, this is totally unacceptable. To make matters worse, there is no way to contact via email (ordered online) to give feedback on your order. I am extremely frustrated, disappointed, and hungry. I am not exaggerating when I say that I've had better frozen pizza. Seriously. If you're going to order a bbq chicken grandma style, do yourself and your wallet a favor and just pick up a frozen CPK bbq chicken from the grocery store as there is very little difference. And then if you burn it, you only have yourself to blame. That said, the Detroit picante (which is our usual go-to order) is usually really good - unless it's under cooked and toppings are skimpy (which is sometimes the case.) So sad - this is one of the better places for takeout. We may give them another chance, but not anytime soon as I hate getting burned.

Chocolate chip cookies?

My kiddos favorite pizza. They have slices most of the day but I recommend the whole pies for better quality. This is our usual delivery spot so we don't eat in much. This location is a part of a food hall with a grocery store and some other small food spots. A cheese pizza will run you close to $30 but based on the pizza in the area it's worth it. Service depends on the day. Clearly cookies are not their specialty!

Delicious, gourmet pizza which is a pricier treat now and then. I'm happy that Tony came back since many years of Pyzano's being gone.

Regular pepperoni pizza.

I feel like from the times I've had Slice House, you can never go wrong for a quick slice on the go. They have a variety of pizzas you can choose from. They have vegan and gluten free pizzas but sadly those don't come in slices. Hoping and crossing fingers they're able to provide that option in the near future! They're located in the Castro Valley Marketplace that has so many things you can do while you wait for your pizza to be prepared. They sale drinks like fountain sodas and also alcoholic drinks like beer and wine.

My pizza slices of choice were the Wiseguy and the BBQ Chicken (Friday Pizza of the Day, NY style). Both slices were delicious and HUGE! I believe each slice was only $6.50. Service was friendly and fast. In addition, I ordered a cannoli, but the cream was just ok. Here's What I Think ... This is a good spot to go if you want something a little different than your local pizza shop. The prices are reasonable and the slices are huge. I'll be back. If you're in the neighborhood and in the mood for pizza, give Slice House a try.

We recently tried Slice House in Castro Valley and were really impressed. We ordered a Sicilian-size pepperoni and sausage pizza along with a large Hawaiian pizza, and both were solid choices. The pizza itself is really good, especially the crust--perfect texture and flavor. One thing I loved about the Hawaiian pizza is that the pineapple is thinly sliced, not those chunky tidbits that keep falling off. It makes a huge difference and keeps every bite balanced. Portions are generous, and the serving size is definitely great value for the money. We also ordered the cannoli, and it was pretty good--nice way to end the meal. The shop is located inside the Castro Valley Marketplace, which makes it a convenient stop. On top of the food, the service was awesome. Shoutout to Collin--he was friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

Great place with yummy pizza. I waited a little bit to give a review because I wanted them to sort out their workflows and I can say the improvement is great. Early on I would show up and my pizza would be ready but I was not told nor was it out for me to find. I can say they now consistently call names, ask me what my name is when I walk in, and I have a great take out, delivery, or dine in meal. I really love the creativity of the pizza options and the option to have multiple types of crust size. My favorite is the Cal Italia! The saltiness of the prosciutto and the sweetness of the drizzle make it the best! They have some good happy hour rotations daily and the hot oil is delish. One day I wanna try some pasta but for now, I'm sticking to the za :) They have rotational slices daily so you can try something new each time. I'm excited to pick out my free birthday slice this week!

Cute little spot a ha red indoors with a plethora of other food businesses and an organic grocery store. The staff were kind and seemed to be having fun although they were incredibly busy!

Semi ordered online and by the time I got to cashew valley from FREMONT it only took five minutes for it to be ready It's inside a market but at 7 o'clock at night almost everyone was there for pizza. Fast friendly service all the tables are kept clean The pizza is consistently good as always. Ordered the grandma's sweet Gino's and Detroit motorhead. Two entirely different pizzas, but both delicious.

Pizzas taste good but the dough is way too hard and chewy. Tried sweet gino grandma style and loved the sweet sauce but did not like that the sauce was only on half of the pizza (grandma style). Wise guy, didn't enjoy the ricotta and sausage part but the pepperoni and green onions were good.

I've been a fan since Tony had Pyzannps in Castro valley. Slice house never, ever disappoints The sweet Gino is my fav. The CV location is inside the public market so pretty cool to go and look around and shop there as well. The pizza is always delicious, I've never had a bad experience and service is always fast and good.

Slice House by Tony Gemignani? Here in CV!?! We've been waiting forever for their Milpitas location to open up. Thankfully, we had a opportunity to try this location which is located in the Castro Valley Marketplace and takes over the space where The Cannery Kitchen & Tap used to be. Small seating area, though the marketplace added additional seating around the area. One unisex restroom at Slice House. They were crowded for a Sunday night. Download their app and sign-up an account to receive an instant $5 off your first order. Order with the cashier, pay, and provided your name which they will call when your order is ready. We ordered a couple of slices to share. *Detroit Style - Rosa: Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Thick & Thin Cut Pepperoni, Basil (4.5/5). I enjoy the bready thickness of this crust and the toppings on this. *New York Style - Webbs Double Sausage: Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Italian Sausage, Sliced Link Sausage, Cup n Char Thin Pepperoni, Red Onions, Romano, Oregano, Garlic Oil (4/5). Flavorful and what you would expect in a NY style slice with a nice crisp thin crust. It hit the spot. We'll definitely be back!

I feel like it's been a staple in downtown for many years, and give nostalgic memories for those that have lived in the area. Now with kiddos, we stopped by for a quick meal after a weekend event with a big group. We were able to grab seating right away and order at the register/grab our numbers. I miss a complimentary bread bar, and Rigatoni's has never failed with that :) Service is friendly and our meals came out accordingly. A few standout comforting dishes: the Rigatoni Bolognese, Broccoli & Chicken Rigatoni, Cheese Ravioli, House Made Lasagna, and the Fettuccine Alfredo to name a few. The lasagna comes with a rich meat sauce, but what I love about the rigatoni bolognese is that it comes in a cream sauce which is just so tasty. There's a little something for everyone on the menu here. They have a kiddo menu, sandos, salads and other starters, and combo meals for a smaller-sized entrée, a soda, and choice of starter soup or salad. They have soups and sauces to-go, and appears they do parties/catering. Rigatoni's will always have a special place in my heart ~ it's a pretty straight-forward establishment that does the trick. Simple and straightforward, "fast-food" Italian food (of their parent restaurant Strizzi's) with no complaints Their signature Rigatoni Bolognese with a splash of cream is delicious comfort food and hits the spot. My fave is their chicken parmigiana, salmon risotto, salads...and of course bread bar: sourdough, seeded, olive with option of balsamic/olive oil dip or butter. I've tried their minestrone and flavor wise delicious but this last visit the vegetables tasted frozen as it wasn't crisp or soft but bouncy in texture...noticeable with the carrots. If you're wanting to try the smoked pork chop, decent but 2 thin cuts and tastes like a breakfast ham. I'll definitely try the steak with mushrooms next time. Service friendly, efficient and welcoming. Food reasonably priced and delicious...if you have realistic expectations you'll enjoy the food and casual dining. Of course best to dine in (during non peak times) vs take out where sauce dries out or absorbed into the pasta. Place clean and organized. Plenty of lot parking during non peak times (lunch and weekends are chaos!) along with free street parking.
