Safe to say that sLICe is the best pizza joint in Hunters Point. It does the job, it hits the spot. Can be a tad hit or miss, but never terrible. I typically just go with a plain slice as their pepperoni (while good) can be a bit too greasy. Knots are great too when they have them, but be prepared to have 24 hour garlic breath bc they are potent! I also really enjoy their breadsticks. Carb overload!! Chicken Parm and Meatball heros are a solid choice too and love that they come with a side salad. Meatball has been good every time I tried it... chicken can be hit or miss as it tasted very "chicken-y" once or twice if that makes sense. I ordered a spinach artichoke pizza for delivery on a Friday night and was not disappointed. The pizza was crispy & delicious. I was a little surprised they blend up the spinach & artichoke & spread it on top like pesto. Pizzas I've had elsewhere had whole pieces of spinach & artichoke on them. Once you get past that though, the food is fantastic. Delivery was through UberEats and was fast & the driver was pleasant. Easily one of my favorite pizza spots. In general the NY style pizza has a tender crust that is not too crunchy nor doughy, and has a good deal of cheese and sweet, fragrant tomato sauce. They do a good job reheating their slices which is to their benefit because the slices come out HOT and taste so good. The cheese stretches and oozes but isn't overflowing with cheese and the sauce is flavorful In it's own right. The square pies (grandma and grandpa) were also solid, with an airy thick crust though I had these after reheating at home so the flavor was altered. Can't comment confidently on those but even after waiting a while I enjoyed it! The basil was fragrant even after waiting all that time to eat it. read more

We had a horrible experience with Slice. We ordered through their website via Toast. A single cheese pizza at 4:47pm (one would think before a dinner rush). We live 0.9 miles form the restaurant. We ordered a single cheese pie. Over an hour later we called to check on the food. They had forgotten about it based on what they said over the phone. We were reassured it would be done ASAP. I called again at 6:15 and was told the SINGLE PIE wasn't done. They offered no solutions. Very disappointing because their pizza is very good but clearly time management is an issue. Delivery is fast and take out is supremely easy. And peep the personalized boxes? Fire. * They're almost always playing hip hop here. That's pretty awesome. * Most dedicated pizzerias have this old school vibe to the place, which is great on occasion, but I appreciate the modern feel for what they've tried to do here. The mural artwork is killer. * There are TVs in here, sometimes playing sports. Sold. * Service is on point. The Mexican dudes here are usually polite, quick, and will even bring the pizza to customers who are dining in. Waiting for an order to grab food from the counter seems so yesterday. * They also have an extensive patio. It's not just some backyard with chairs but an actual patio to soak up the sun, enjoy some fresh air, and eat some pizza. I can get behind all of that. * Lastly, the pizza is way better than people give it credit for. The person handling orders is polite, and I have not been ppaced on hold for too long before. I really liked the layout, kind of like a bagel shop: you walk in and look at the options behind the glass and point out what you want, they slide your choices into the oven to crisp up and you pay and wait. The Margherita one came out really dry but you could still tell the sauce was good. The one downside was service. They're efficient, yes, but not very friendly.
