This is a cute little pizza shop in Long Island city. It's always packed, but the customer service is pretty awesome. When I came here last time, someone threw a dollar at the cashier, but they were so professional. We ended up getting a regular slice, a margarita slice and a grandma. Exploring LIC via a ferry ride, I walked along Vernon Blvd. There was much to absorb and appreciate. Like most neighborhoods, this area is continuously building and developing especially with the waterfront nearby. As I walked along Vernon Blvd., there were many eateries and restaurants. I did not intend to have any lunch since I already had a filling breakfast. That is, until I was half a block from Slice whereupon the aroma of pizza pulled me in. This pizzeria has both indoor and patio seating but I sat at the "bar". A variety of slices looked so inviting, including these mini calzones (so adorable) but I opted for good old margarita slice. A Yelp check in offers a small free fountain beverage (much appreciated with the current heatwave) including refills. Really generous. Like many pizzerias, most styles are sitting on the counter for reheat. Once it was ready, the pizza ($3.50) was absolutely delicious. So much so that the sauce had the most unique flavor (I swore I detected garlic flavoring). The slice was slightly crispy but definitely not a complaint. This was more of an observation since I have some bonding on one tooth. Overall, staff was friendly/helpful and pizza ranks high in terms of taste and quality. I'm happy I dropped in. read more

Honestly, I've been underwhelmed by this pizza a few times. It's fairly generic, the cheese and sauce taste pretty below par, and the crust is bland. I've tried both the cheese and the grandma, and neither id go back for. They're open late which is cool, and I reckon a drunk me would enjoy it more. read more

Their inventory management is utterly ridiculous. A walk in 'pizza by the slice' place is running out of pizza and the wait is 40 minutes? How bad do you have to be managing production? Small restaurant front which is kept pretty clean by the staff. Guys that work here are pretty friendly. However, the pizza is a different story. I ordered 2 Pepperoni slices (3$) each, and it basically tasted like a 1$ or 2$ dollar slice that you could get at 2 Bros which is actually large and pretty solid for cost. Even Vinny's is better than this. Definitely don't think a Pepperoni slice is worth 3$ here. Unfortunately there aren't very many $1 pizza slices in LIC, so they can basically charge whatever they want here. Save your money, and ride one stop into Manhattan to get your pizza fix. read more

Slice makes for a nice pit stop on the way to the nearest subway station from where I was staying. I experienced great customer service from the friendly and helpful staff. I saw that you can order Slice straight from their window, but if you go inside the restaurant there's plenty of seating including outdoor accommodations. There were many single slice options to choose from, but my litmus test for pizzas in NY has been cheese. I thought the cheese pizza at Slice was very good especially with some pepper flakes and dry oregano thrown on there. Not the best crust I've had on a pizza, but overall solid. read more

After going to LIC Flea market we decided to walk around the neighborhood. We came across this place and it was packed. They do offer outdoor seating in the back and it was really a gorgeous day this place was perfect if you wanted to eat outside. Their Sicilian slices seemed to be very popular. All of their pizza looked great. I couldn't decide what I wanted so split a plain slice plus white pizza slice with another person. It was really delicious, crust was really thin. It wasn't heavy or greasy just very hot, crunchy with gooey cheese. I thought about having a sicilian slice but that would have been over kill especially since I ate at the flea market :-) Overall they have great pizza and for the area their price were reasonable. They brought us plates, napkins, spices (oregano, hot pepper flakes, garlic powder, parmesan cheese), and our pizza...and so it was great presentation. Tasty. Hot. Fresh. I personally liked it. Plus, they have outdoor seating. We walked in with our whole entire extended family around 1:30 pm, and the wait was over 20 minutes. It was kind of odd to see slices go faster than pies, but we figured it was due to the super long line going out the door. I had the chance to try slice recently and I'm happy to say that I think I've found my go-to pizza spot in LIC! They've got a wide variety of the usual types of slices for take out and/or dine in service. There slices start at around $3.50 and their pies at $23. If you're out on Vernon Blvd with friends for drinks this would be the perfect spot to grab something to fill that hole in your stomach. The place was kept clean from what we could see and the staff was friendly and efficient in getting our orders out to us. Only issue is is that they may not have all types of slices available if you just walk right in. i'd call 15 minutes ahead of time to ask if they have the type you're looking for, just in case! read more

I thought this place was very reasonably priced with decent pizza! I am glad it's nearby, and it's a great place to pop by for a quick bite even after other restaurants in the area have closed. I usually am here just to buy something to go, so I can't really speak to how the service is, but everyone has usually been quite friendly and efficient. I saw the Yelp check-in for a free small fountain soda late but I already got a coke and Welch Grape Soda..will save it for my next visit. There was a miscommunication and they packed my order to-go but I still dine-in as it was super windy today. Ugh. This place friustrates me so much. Their Pizza is pretty good from the times that I have had it but now for the past 3 to 4 times, they have been inconsistent with their availability of slices. Any other Pizza shop, you can get any kind of slice made, be it pepperoni, sausauge and some others, but here, they force you to buy whats only available and make no attempts at making slices for you.
