Great Pizzeria hidden away on W. Eau Gallie near Sarno Rd. Second visit to Slices Pizza for lunch. Ate there a month ago and had I posted that visit would have given them 5 Stars but after today I think 4 Stars is more appropriate. For 5 Stars I expect a place to be perfect. In all the places I have had the lunch special, my choices have been a cheese slice or maybe a pepperoni slice and for extra charge they would put on other toppings. At Slices they offered slices in at least 5 different pizzas in their "showcase", including a dessert pizza. I had the lunch special, $8, as last time, drink, salad and one pizza slice or you can have drink, 2 slices and no salad. I had salad with bleu cheese and bought 2 additional slices of pizza to try others - had portobello mushroom, meat lovers, and grandma's pie. Best salad I have had at any pizzeria or restaurant - fresh mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, onions, black olive slices, and crotons and ample salad dressing. The pizza was thin crust, very thin but it was crispy and really good and I don't really like thin crusts. The thin crusts I have had at most places, except Palermo's, have either been too soft from toppings or baked to hardtack, but not here, here it was uniquely crunchy. Only crunchy crust like this I recall tasting in area. I could see air pockets in crust which would explain why crunch. This is a thin crust that can make me love thin crusts. All the of Slices pizzas had tasty pizza (red) sauce and mozzarella cheese. Far and away the best pizza slice was the portobello mushroom. I would rate their portobello pizza the best pizza I have had any where in Melbourne. Meat lover's, I did not really like as I prefer meat lovers as prepared by Papa Johns, Dominoes, etc., lots of various meats. I could only taste pepperoni and Italian sausage on Slices. The grandma's I did not like all - mozzarella, red sauce, basil, Romano cheese and olive oil. Reminds me of Lil Caesar's bruschetta on their Quattro pizza, which I did not like. At the Pizza Gallery and Grill I liked every pizza. At Pizza Gallery for $8.99 on buffet you get a full meal - pizza, pasta, salad, soups, dessert - and all you can eat. Drinks at PG are extra, alcohol or non-alcohol. Slices is perfect and more convenient on Eau Gallie than driving to Viera Town Center to Pizza Gallery. Slices has other food items you have come to expect at a pizzeria - subs, calzones, stromboli, lasagna, etc. - if you don't want pizza or want something more than just pizza. Slices had a good lunch crowd compared to some pizzerias I have been in for lunch, at least one table had new customers. Same thing happened last time, new customers. They are being discovered. You order at showcase/counter picking your pizza slice(s). Service to table was prompt. Staff and owner was friendly last time and this time. The corner location in a new building fronting West Eau Gallie has large windows on two sides to look out of. Gives you nice view while eating. Dining room was well lighted with ample table seating. Place has good feel. The owner and his daughter apparently have really worked hard in making Slices this great pizzeria. Pizza at Slices Pizza or at Pizza Gallery seem to be heads above other pizzerias in town. Take your pick you will be well-satisfied eating at either one. read more

Back in June (10 months ago) I took my 3 nieces here - we got off the highway to get food after a long drive from south Florida, headed to Saint Augustine. The service was wonderful as was the pizza. Oh my Lord all of the reviews are true! This pizza is fabulous and the garlic knots are delicious. They have a perfect amount of garlic and Parmesan. I did not have any big chunks of raw garlic on mine like stated in another review. I also got a chef salad to split and it was huge and the homemade dressings are amazing. This just isn't good pizza and the delivery time lags so the pie is just warm when it arrives. Their friends & family must have given them the 4 & 5 star reviews. The crust is tough like shoe leather, and the ingredients are Sysco/US Foods GMO tasting. They shouldn't be in the pizza business. I stumbled upon this little place by accident looking for Wendy's. There was no sign of the Wendy's but the pizza slice caught my eye and I'm really glad it did, I went in very nice atmosphere mellow simple nothing flashy. I'll ordered the meatball parm sub and I truly regretted taking the last night because that meant it was gone. Holy cow! So glad we found this little gem while spending a night in Melbourne! We got a small antipasto salad that was perfect to split as an appetizer for two adults. I've paid twice as much for salads that looked and tasted 1/4 as good as this one and the blue cheese dressing tasted homemade! Would be a treat as a entree! The large cheese pizza had even our pickiest eater asking for more! The owner greeted us like a old friend when we came in for our carry out. In searching for the pizza establishments that is comparable to home, we happened to locate this new spot through yelp, although the phone number on the app wasn't the correct one, we did reach them through their website. That said, we were greeted like family, treated like family, and ate like my family is use too. The owners are great, hospitable, and outgoing. Quality of food was superior to the other pizza places in this area, the one standout that makes this pizza better is the dough, its incredible, accompanied by the fresh sauce, mozzarella, and basil. Not many ingredients right? Yet so many get it wrong. Well this place is not one of them. Price comparison, they may be a bit higher, but your not getting cardboard with cheese and sauce either,so... as for my opinion, you should give them a try especially if your in search of a NYC styled pizza pie in this beautiful area. I'll start off by suggesting their Grandma Pizza! My fiancée and I like to top it with their sliced sausage. The crust is perfect to our liking. Fresh, crispy, and chewy - never a soggy or undercooked bite. You can taste all of the fresh ingredients as they accent each other without drowning each other out. Cheese, sauce, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil. The sauce is Neapolitan - real tomatoes! Not a sauce made from watered down paste and heavy seasoning. The sauce is my fiancée's favorite part, mine is the crust. Slices is what I consider a REAL family pizza joint. They do pizza and they do it exceptionally well. The joint is just a nice relaxed place to sit down and eat with your family with no distractions. And though I'm giving them a 5 star rating for the pizza, I'd like to add that I would give them 6 stars for hospitality if I could. Will, his family, and employees have a winning business equation that can stand the test of time. They are very welcoming and someone will always check to see how you're doing. The owners were on the premises to greet us as we walked in! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the Upside Down Grandma pizza, Ceasars Salad, meatballs, garlic knots, and the cannolis. The pizza was delicious! Very fresh tomato and basil taste. The garlic knots were coated in a very fruity olive oil and fresh garlic, very delicious! The meatballs were super tender and very tasty. The cannolis were crispy and were overflowing with the delicious cannoli cream with milk chocolate chips throughout.
