If you're on the hunt for a great seafood spot in DT, look no further! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. The service was impeccable, and the food was outstanding. We started with some amazing appetizers - calamari, oysters, and fried tomatoes - and for dinner, we had gumbo, lobster roll, and fish, all of which were divine!

My fiance and I stopped in for some brunch and it was 10/10 so good!! I ordered the TRADITIONAL BENNY (canadian bacon, poached eggs, english muffin, hollandaise sauce, chives, paprika, served with potatoes)!!!!!! we sat at the bar and our bartender was Carrie! she was attentive, sweet, and knowledgeable! the manager on duty was also very sweet, Steven. all around great experience will 1000000% be back! Great team of workers!!

When Slick Lips first opened, a neighbor raved about it. But the reviews have consistently been mixed so I avoided going. Finally went to check it out and have gone back a second time. Sat at the bar both times where the service was excellent. I can't say enough about the baked oysters. Got the char-grilled the first time which were very good. But the winner are the Oysters Baytowne. The oysters were battered and fried perfectly (I'm very fussy about how and with what oysters are battered). The sauce was delicious and perfect for sopping up with the French bread provided. This dish is listed as a starter, but it's a generous portion. Enough to share or eat as an entree. My husband had the fish tacos with the special fries. Good but not spectacular. I had the mahi sandwich which was also generous and good. If you're a sangria lover, skip it. Many poor reviews cite the poor service. We did not experience that while sitting at the bar, but while we were there a gentleman went to the bartender to complain that he and his companion had been seated by the window and ignored by every server. This appears to be an area that management needs to pay more attention to.

I really enjoyed this place! It wasn't too busy when we came in, so everything came out pretty quickly, and everything was delicious. The standout for me was definitely the garlic Parmesan oysters...so good! We also tried the gumbo, fresh oysters, deep-fried oysters, and calamari, and everything was tasty. A nice bonus was the outdoor seating, which was great for bringing our pup along. Only downside was the water, it had an unpleasant tap taste. Other than that, everything was great and I'd definitely come back!

The fresh oysters were so delicious just fresh and briny, good size for this time of year. I also had the charbroiled ones but the chef got a little carried away with the seasoning and were too salty to enjoy. The Brussels were good a bit to aldenta for me I prefer them roasted a bit longer not as raw as they were but overall flavor was delicious. The service was impeccable my beautiful bar goddess was very welcoming and wonderful made my night just perfect. Love the beach bar vibe all the food I saw at the bar looked really good. I'll be back to eat and try the rest of menu soon. Thank you my beautiful friend and bar maid you made me dining alone a lovey experience don't mind spending my money at this establishment when you get the trifecta of delicious food excellent service and fun atmosphere. New customer for life.

We spent the morning walking around the Palafox market and needed something to satisfy our appetite. We've been wanting to check out Slick Lips since it opened a few months ago, so decided to grab a patio spot for brunch. We ordered a couple Bloody Mary's to start out with and looked over the brunch menu. I knew I wanted the BBQ shrimp because I had them at Brunchfest a while back and they were so good. My wife decided to go with the avocado toast. The Bloody Mary's came out and looked great (missed the pic opportunity). Unfortunately, they were lacking flavor and seemed a bit watered down. We added their house hot sauce and were able to get them right. Food came out and looked amazing! A good portion of shrimp although I wish it came with a bit of grits to soak up some of the sauce. Flavors were on point! The avocado toast was topped with pickled onions, sprouts and arugula salad along with 2 fried eggs - a filling brunch option! Our server was in training but doing a fine job checking on us as needed. We are excited to try more from Slick Lips and are glad to have them on Palafox. Their patio is great for people watching and enjoying the fresh bay breeze. The interior looks really fun too, so I'm looking forward to dinner there soon!

Discovered this place today when looking for happy hours around 4 on a Wednesday in downtown. Raw oysters are $1.00 each for HH and we had 2 dozen that were fresh, cold and plump. The beers were $2.00 off and the BBQ shrimp on HH was excellent. The Cajun sauce was extremely flavorful. Kristi took excellent care of us. Highly recommend checking them out.

I went with the Three Little Pigs omelette and it was very tasty. The homemade biscuits and grits were the perfect complement to the meal. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and honestly I wish I could have tried more dishes on the menu. They have plenty of indoor seating and it wasn't noisy at all, which made it easy to relax and enjoy brunch. There's also outdoor seating if you'd rather sit outside and enjoy the weather. Definitely a great spot to check out if you're in Pensacola and looking for a solid brunch.

Only about 10 minutes for us to get a space and while we waited, we were able to tour the other locations nearby and get some good videos . Although I usually don't like crowded places like this because my seat is not normally a seat I would choose, I think it was worth it this time. We did sit at a small table for two and my back was against the world(I'd rather look out to who's coming behind me), but it was a great experience. Excellent food! I tried something new and like it- Costa Rican Breakfast-however I did not like the plantains, I wish they were sweeter. My husband absolutely love the pancake and his bloody Mary. I did try the mimosa flight, but it seemed to be too much for just one person or its just me. Rob provided excellent service, he has such a great personality. Energetic and lively spirit, he was tentative and made sure to check on everybody. He also gave great recommendations for beach locations and tour locations that will not fill touristy so that you can have a peaceful experience and enjoy Pensacola. The ambience is lively and fun.and loud. Everyone is welcoming and ready to talk to each other providing suggestions, especially to tourist and give us the best locations to go.

My husband…read morehad made reservations for us and his parents, but as life goes, we were running a few minutes behind, so we called and let them know, and the lady who answered was very kind and told us not to worry. (This was a 4:30 reservation when they were not as busy.) They seated us at a table that accommodated the four of us perfectly. I should add that my father-in-law was in a wheelchair, and the ladies were quick to adjust the table settings for us so that he would fit comfortably. Our waitress, Roxy, was just as helpful as a server. My father-in-law also has dementia, so ordering for him at restaurants can at times be very tricky. She was ever so patient and suggested some items that could work for him based on what my mother-in-law shared are things he usually will eat with ease. But hospitality and service are only part of the reason you go to a restaurant, because let's face it, if the food were bad, who cares how nice everyone is. In this department, they were also on point. Roxy explained the menu changes seasonally. We dined on July 3, peak summer. I should also add that I am 7 weeks pregnant, and so I need to be careful with what I am consuming. To drink, I had an orange glow - with cardamom, lemon, orange, and strawberry (and the only item I remembered to photograph - blame it on how delicious the food was or on my pregnancy brain). It was refreshing and sweet, without being too juice-like. My mother-in-law ordered a moscato and my husband had a blond ale. We all consumed our beverages in their entirety before the end of the meal. I'll add here that the young lady who went around refilling waters was extremely on point. If our glasses were halfway emptied, she came around and filled them (which with how much water I'm currently intaking, she came by quite a bit). To start, we ordered their garlic yeast rolls. It comes with a garlic butter which you can add to the rolls, but let me tell you how it doesn't need the extra butter (though it is mighty delicious). I could live in those rolls. They were flaky and buttery, like a croissant, but in a yeast dinner roll. If it's on the menu when you go, please do yourself a favor and order. There are 4 to an order. My husband and I shared the 4th one, and I would have ordered another set of 4, but at that point I would have just been eating with my tastebuds and not my actual stomach. But they *are* that good! My husband and I both ordered the filet. I can't eat anything cooked less than medium, though I'm typically a medium rare girl, and let me tell you - it was still juicy and delicious, a sign of a chef who knows how to cook a good steak. The black garlic butter was heavenly. The steak was a bit too seasoned for me (but pregnancy taste buds are something else). My husband ordered it medium well, and he loved it (and he's only recently come around to enjoying a nice piece of red meat). They came accompanied with a celeriac potato au gratin which was perfect - not overly cheesy, and the celeriac (first time eating this) was perfectly sliced. My husband also ordered the cheese grits and collard greens. The grits were a whipped-like texture, soft and creamy. The collards were not something I could stomach. Blame it on those pregnancy taste buds again. My mother-in-law also ordered collards and they both loved them. For me, the vinegar was just too much to handle. My mother-in-law opted for the ribeye, medium rare with the broccolini, and she said it was "scrumptious, delicioso, and magnificent (in a French accent)." As delicious as it was, she and I could not finish our meals, so we asked for a to-go boxes. Roxy packaged them up for us, and labeled each box with what it contained and when it was packaged. Of course, when it came time for dessert, we were beyond full, but we ordered a prickly pear sorbet to share. And it was just what was needed to cleanse the pallet after such a flavorful meal. The coconut mousse was light and airy and paired well with the sorbet. If you're in the mood for some good southern fusion in Pensacola, Iron is the place to try.
