I've been going to Sliders for years. They were my last stop before COVID and one of the first places I returned to. I've been to almost every location, and none have let me down. There are many beers on tap, plenty of wing flavors, and a sizable menu otherwise. This review focuses on Plantsville, but they're a chain, and each one only differs in looks. You get the same menus everywhere. I got a plate of ten boneless wings with sides. You've seen other places' glorified chicken nuggets, but Sliders' boneless wings are more like chicken tenders. You'll have plenty to take home and reheat in the air fryer. Even the appetizers and sides are executed well! The fries are cooked well. The fried pickles aren't soggy. The salad is just a garden salad, but the apple cider vinaigrette I picked takes it to the next level. When I have a craving for some wings but don't want to drive to far, I head to sliders. They have a lot of flavors to choose from but I always like the simple buffalo wing. No matter what flavor I choose, I like the traditional wings and get very well done. The wings never disappoint when I go and it is always delicious. Depending what day and time you go, it can be very busy or very slow. The waiter is always friendly and service can be a bit slow at times. But it is understandable. We used to visit the Sliders in Plantsville allll the time in high school, but once we graduated and went to college we didn't get to come as often. We took a walk down memory lane and came back, and they are killing it! There's several new wing flavors and menu items that caught our eye, and everything we had was fantastic! The nachos were especially great - we always appreciate when there's plenty of toppings and layers of it with no bare chips. Sandwiches, wings, and drinks were all great! They were doing trivia when we were there too. Everything was clean and it was a nice vibe. We stopped by for something quick and easy. We started out with the egg roll appetizer. It was very good. We didn't know what to expect but it was a pleasant surprise. My wife had the mushroom swiss burger and the sweet potato fries. The burger was so big she started out by cutting it in half but then gave in and ate it with a fork and knife. She enjoyed every bite. She said it was very tasty. I had the Flaming Raz bone in wings. I wanted them cooked a little more and they came out perfect. The sauce was very good. It had a ton of flavor and there was plenty to keep dipping in. The blue cheese was cool and tangy. Although there were only four hotter sauces listed in the menu I did not find these too hot. They had a bit of a bite but not overpowering and inedible. I bet I could have eaten another dozen. It would have been way too much but it was like eating potato chips. This is our go to happy hour spot. Great deals and always friendly service. Casual sports bar always has some sort of game on. Can't beat having Benji (IPA from Tribus) on tap. Why has it taken me this long to try this place? Since moving to Southington a year ago, we have struggled to find local places to replace our New Haven staples. I've had all the tops (Dew Drop, J.Tims, Porky's, Hard Hat, Archie's ) these are up there! At the table I said "these wings are better than J. Tim's" everyone at the table nodded in agreement, licking their fingers. Big, crispy and juicy. Island spice dry rub was my favorite of the 3 we tried. Burger was big, meat was fresh, although overcooked. I will make sure to specify next time that the temp should be medium. Drinks were good. Huge beer menu with some quality bourbon on the shelf. Zero wait from the bar to table. Lots of big screen TVs to keep you up to date on the latest score. 90s alternative and grunge playing in the background. Huge plus for this Gen X'er. Bottom line? Service was slow, food was lukewarm and I was not very impressed at all. I had four lukewarm and rather small steak slices that ended up being dwarfed on the slider rolls by the rolls themselves. The curly fries were a disappointment too, they were also lukewarm and were massed together like a miniature deep-fried golden tumbleweed. This was my first time to the Slider's in Plantsvillle and I was just really happy with the whole experience. Our waitress was a doll. They were busier than they expected to be (per the Manager, who stopped over twice during our dining experience and really made us feel like valued customers!!). Service was just a tad slow but not in an obnoxious way. Food for the kiddos came out with our appetizer - which was kitchen perfection. About 10 mins later, adult food came out. Timing was great. Today is the 9th of May sooo yesterday the 8th around 545pm I took my girlfriend and her son to sliders 1.The wait for the food was extremely long 2. All the food came out at once 3. Sad part is the waiter didn't bring my food the cook did his name Jeremy. 4. Jeremy there is a reason why there are waiters also I don't mind the cook coming out to speak with guest but he was waaaaay to close to my loved ones and hovering over our food and my girlfriend was uncomfortable and ask me if he was sober 5. Buffalo and Bleu cheese wings are life! I like the layout of this place more than it's sister store in Wallingford! The bar has a lot of space and the TVs are spread around well with a good variety of sports on. I've never had a bad experience here service wise. The bar staff and waiters are consistently polite in my experience. The food is well above average for a sports bar. I will say it again: Buffalo and Bleu Wings are life. I also enjoy the General Tso Wings, The garlic parm and the medium wings. I did they insane challenge once. Definitely super hot! They have a heat index on the menu which is definitely helpful! The burgers and sandwiches and definitely awesome. The sleeper pick on the menu for me Is the chili! I really enjoy it and sometimes pick that or a salad as a healthier option to replace the fries as a side. I would steer you away from the pretzels. While not bad, they are a little generic. My sever she was super bitchy acting like I was a burden I was there. Couldn't even give me a tap list. I had my computer with me working on school work and she was like you can look it up online. Couldn't even look at me when talking to me. I was highly disappointed in my service and disgusted a sever like her would be hired. Absolutely no people skills. So Ive heard this place is comparable to J. Timothy's so decided to give it a try. The quality of their wing is definitely comparable. These wings come from some fat ass chickens. Meaty and delicious. Not fatty at all. However, their "heat scale" is completely inaccurate. There is no way a Mango Habanero wing is less hot than a Flaming Raspberry. Because the Flaming Raspberry wings, although good, are weak as hell. No real kick what so ever and they are supposed to be a step or two away from INSANE.? I think not. J. Timothy's are still number 1. I would say this place is a 2, however as far as "accurate" flavor selection goes, Buffalo Wild Wings has them beat.. So for me, it's either go to J. Timothy's for excellent standard flavor wings. Or if you want REAL flavor..and decent wings.. go to Buffalo Wild Wings. read more

Once again very disappointed. I was attempting to buy 400 wings, 2 trays or fries, 2 trays of onion rings for superbowl Sunday. The superbowl is 9 days before this writing. The manager told me the only orders being taken for superbowl Sunday are wings. I aksed for a large order can I at least have the other 4 trays of food. He said his manager will contact me. The managers "manager" called back within 10 minutes. Told me the same thing. Only wings are being made for superbowl Sunday. Alas, I had to look elsewhere. When the food arrived, all the entries were cold to luke warm. During our 1 hr wait, our waitress never asked to refill my beer and did not bother to give us utensils. We had to wait to eat our cold food while she remembered to finally give them to us when the food arrived. I'm deeply disappointed in the service and quality of food.
