Honestly after waiting 20 minutes in line at the drive through you'd think that their food would be something phenomenal. Not a shot. Completely raw fries that we had to cook ourselves at home, overcooked wings that were obviously from a freezer bag and "Texas toast" that was thin and soggy. The only good thing was the honey bbq sauce on the wings. Both of our orders had wings missing from them as well. For $22, the food should have been great but it's really just overpriced McDonald's level. Truthfully you're better off going across the parking lot to Publix and getting their fresh wings. I took the time to visit your Hendersonville location for lunch today. The restaurant was clean and service was great. The only issue with the meal was the temperature of the fries was slightly off, but they were still edible. Not a big deal. While in your location, I also observed Matthew, I assume the manager, go above and beyond to take care of customers and employees. Thank you for being open for dine in eating and being there for both your customers and employees. Keep up the good work Matthew and team. If you want hot food I don't suggest going here. Stood waiting for 20 minutes and watched my food sit there for 10. They weren't busy at all and had 3 workers standing there doing nothing. After trying this place in the 'boro, we were excited to see one opening here. I think we went 6 times during the first 8 weeks of opening; we love it that much! We joke that there's crack in the chicken. There's just something about it - juicy & tender chicken, light breading, the seasoning, and always piping hot - every single time we've been. Finally, someone has fries that have some seasoning! Also, their mason jar desserts are awesome. I thought they'd be some mediocre dessert, but they pleasantly surprised me! Don't forget to download the app & earn points. I think we've earned $12 already (about to hit our next $4). The staff is quick to place your order, has table-side service, and quickly cleans up dirty tables. We've never had a bad experience here. My only 'complaint' would be that there needs to be more seating. Maybe it'll get a little better once the weather warms up, and the outdoor seating can be used enjoyably. The first thing we do when turning into the entrance for Publix is see how many cars/people are at Slim's. Once, we just went through the d/t because there was a long line, and we knew we wouldn't get a table. This used to be my favorite chicken spot here in hendersonville but this place has really fallen off. The bread is so dry and i've seen black hairs all over my food. There's a new worker he has a goatee and curly hair there. He has been extremely rude to me and family. He has no manners and really burped right in front of my face. The staff is attentive, patient and helpful. For a joint that serves wings and is very busy I'm impressed by how clean it's kept. Which comes back to the friendly attentive staff. Huge shout out to the amazing young women who was patient with me as I had a tough time deciding on which sauces to add to my meal. People were queuing up and not once did I feel rushed....Thank you! The food is literally finger lick'n good! Most orders are served with your choice of a side plus a slice of texas toast. Oh and the sauces... oh my are they on point! The have 6 sauces for dipping including their signature Slim Sauce and 11 wing sauces. I personally am excited to trying every one of their sauces (goals). The desserts are amazing and come in a cute mason jar you can keep or leave but you'll definitely enjoy the dessert! Location wise they are off of E. Main St there is plenty of parking and although it seems busy people come and go in a stead pace. Don't feel like hanging out you can order ahead and have designated cubbies indoors where your meal is ready for a quick pick up. This is your average fast food joint. It's a chain, so like all chains it's about how fast you can serve customers. The food is mediocre at best. The sides didn't really have any taste, but the customer service was great. They have a lot of dipping sauce choices. The building was clean. The music was good. Very impressed with the customer serve aspect of this restaurant, staff was very friendly and helpful. However, not so impressed with the chicken. I will say that I walked in with high expectations, but the chicken tenders were very average. I personally prefer chicken from zaxbys or chik-fil-a over this place, as well as their sauces. Slim's has a ton of sauces to choose from, maybe I just chose poorly? On a bright side, the mason jar desserts were amazing. We have been to Slim Chickens twice and I'm telling you the service and atmosphere is incredible. I'm not a big chicken person but I crave this chicken. It's made fresh to order and the sides are awesome too. The Manager Matt is awesome. The Crew there are all smiles and come to your table to see if you need anything more or a drink refill. I went out to slim chickens earlier today just to try it. When I got there it was busy which was fine I'm used to any good place being busy. Well when we got up to order I was asked what sauce and didn't hear so I said, "what was that?" Politely and then was deciding and then another lady rudely said "what sauce!". At that point I was a bit upset because there was no need to be rude about being asked to repeat what they said. Once I paid they forgot my coke which I kindly asked before leaving and they gave it to me. Well once I got home and started eating I found a hair in my food! To first be rudely asked a question to finding a hair in my food I would not recommend this location if they are not kind to customers and clearly do not care about health code. read more
