I do like Slim Chickens for the most part. I feel like they are a little pricy for what you get. My review today is based on my fried mushrooms which this is the second time this has happened to me. They used to put the fried mushrooms in a box with a wax paper. This helped with the grease from the mushrooms, because I assume they pretty much box them up as soon as they come out of the fryer. However they have been putting them in a small styrofoam container with foil. Anyone see an issue with this? The grease has nowhere to go. So as I drive to my less than 3 mile destination with them and get inside to inbox them they are mush. I don't want mush mushrooms. They need to put a paper towel in between the mushrooms and the foil so it can help keep them warm but not turn into complete mush. It's disgusting, and they are $5.99 plus tax.... I got to eat 4.... I ordered a salad (which originally was going to be tomorrow's lunch) a large drink, and a side of friend mushrooms. My total was $16.43 a little pricy for fast food and if you're not going to do it right at that price then just don't do it at all. I know now after trying twice not to order any of the fried sides. read more

Slim Chickens - slim chance I'll go back!! My family and I were coming back from a funeral tonight and decided to stop by Slim Chickens to see what the food was like. I'm doing Keto so I ordered the 5 piece grilled chicken. I repeated the order twice and the employee repeated it back to me. This meal costs like $9 and we were are really hungry having not eaten for several hours. So when I get home and open the bag, my order is completely wrong. They gave me fried chicken instead of the grilled I so carefully ordered and tried to make sure they got it right. Definitely not going back - you get one chance to make a good impression so try not to make it a bad one read more

Forget the Mason jar desserts. Artificial everything. Preservatives and cool whip. Yuk. Wings are pre-cooked (to save time?); inconsistent quality and often dry if not for the sauce. On top of that, 2 price increases in 3 months. Cane's is now the better value. read more

While I prefer Raising Cane's to Slim Chickens, I will say that the food at Slim Chickens isn't bad. I always order the chicks plate which comes with three tenders, fries, Texas toast, and a medium drink. I believe they have over 17 different dipping sauces to choose from. This is where Slim Chickens beats Raising Cane's as I do wish that Raising Cane's had more options in this area. This place is jumping on a Sunday as kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. I like the atmosphere. It's simple. No frills. I do like that they offer a patio area for seating complete with a cornhole setup. The service here is excellent as the people working the front counter where you order are very friendly. I did not find the wait from the time that I ordered to the time that I received my food to be extraordinarily long. The food was hot and fresh when it was delivered. We have been to other locations of this restaurant and enjoyed it. The chicken strips are good. The toast could be more toasted, but that's a personal preference thing. The wings are good, the fries are the kind we like. Their desserts in a jar are good. All in all we like it and it's easy with kids. We like that they have more options than Raisin Canes. read more

The first time I tried the honey bbq chicken wings they were delicious. The second time, not so great, the fries were warm/cold and overly salted. Maybe it's hit or miss with the cooks and if the restaurant is busy. "Chicken with your wing sauce" - this was my first time to stop at Slim Chicken so didn't know what to expect. Ordered the wing plate and was asked what wing flavor I wanted so I chose BBQ. Didn't realize they were going to drown the wings in a tub of BBQ sauce. For my taste, way too much BBQ sauce. I will say the BBQ sauce was sweet and a good flavor. Even some of fries were covered in sauce. The chicken seem to be juicy after getting thru the BBQ sauce. The fries that didn't get covered in sauce were cooked to perfection with the right amount of seasoning. The toast was ok but could have stayed on grill a little longer. Really good spot. I was actually surprised how quickly my food came out chicken tenders are really good and so are the wings.

Came on grand opening day. I used the drive thru, the line was long but it moved fast. The lady taking orders outside was very nice and helpful. First time trying Slims and it was ok. I ordered thru the drive thru 3 and 3 meal. Chicken tenders were good my garlic Parmesan wings were ok. Definitely not better than BWW. Fries were soggy due to them being put in a styrofoam container. The heat creates moisture and make the fries soggy. Just put them in a paper bag. Every time I go to Slim Chickens the food is good and the service is good. I tend to order online and every time I get there my food is ready to go. I have no complaints about the food I love the fried pickles and the potato salad. The chicken tenders are good but they're not the size of Raging Cajun. There is a larger variety at Slim Chickens then there is at Raging Cajun and I love the different sauces to choose from. In my opinion Raging Cajun is better strictly for the strips and the toast but you get a larger variety of wings, tenders, sauces, and sides at Slim Chickens. read more

If I could have rated Slim Chickens 0 stars I would have. This was the worst chicken wings we've ever eaten. The sauce tasted fake and the chicken, fries, and Texas Toast were all cold.
