I popped in to Slim Chickens because the restaurant in Mission that I intended on visiting wasn't open. It is truly weird how many different fast food restaurants that feature chicken have popped up in the metro over the past decade. Slim Chickens is a chain of 200+ stores based in Fayetteville, AR. I ordered the "3 and 3" meal. 3 wings, 3 tenders, fries, Texas toast and sauces. The wings were fairly small but the Korean glaze was nice. The tenders were also fairly small. Fries were plentiful, hot and seasoned well. My two dipping sauces were blue cheese and gravy. Gravy is always a solid midwestern dipping option, much better than ranch that we supposedly consume more than most regions. The $14 dollar price tag was a bit steep, but it filled me up - texas toast and lots of fries will do that. Would I drive across town to go back? No. Will I petition corporate headquarters to open one in my neighborhood? No. Will I stop again if nearby? Probably not, Ralphie has more restaurants in the area to check off his list that he hasn't tried yet.

I really like the food here! It is seasoned with tasty flavors and there are many sauce choices. There are a lot of options for fried chicken here, you can get tenders, sandwiches, wraps, and even buffalo tender mac. There are also milkshakes which are a nice option. The food has always been tasty, fresh, and warm here when I've gotten it. Both dine in and drive thru

First of all, fantastic trip to slim chickens. We went after my eye appointment as a lil treat. The meal is an excellent value! They have cranberry lemonade right now as a holiday treat and it's super duper. So yummy and refreshing!! The service at this location was incredible. My dad ordered gravy and I said woah that was good idea. Well the slim chicken worker heard me say that and next thing you know, gravy appeared on the table like manna from heaven. He had brought me gravy too!!! It was amazing!! I was so happy! Highly recommend. The chicken is great! The fries are crispy! The toast is perfect!

Visited here on a recent Friday afternoon for lunch and had a great meal! The store was very clean. The gal that took our order was very friendly and did a great job. We both order mac bowls and the food came out quickly. Our mac bowls were absolutely delicious and the toast was perfect. My only complaint with the food is that it could have had a just a bit more chicken, but overall, it tasted fantastic. The restaurant had a decent amount of people in it for a weekday lunch which was nice to see. Overall, I had a great visit to this location and look forward to visiting again.

My opening day experience was very good. The grilled chicken salad ($8.69 including drink) was brought to my table just four minutes after I ordered at the counter. It was delicious, with a good amount of tasty chicken on a good variety of fresh veggies. I liked the good variety of salad dressings and dipping sauces. The service at the counter was okay, and the dining area was clean and new, with blues background music (one notch too loud). It was nice that management seemed very interested in feedback on how to improve the customer experience. This location has a drive-thru and a patio. Overall, very nice.

My husband was pretty excited to have a slim chickens opening up near us so we had to try this place out! We waited a few days for the hype to die down and we have been twice now. It's always nice when a restaurant has a drive-thru, especially in the winter, but be prepared to wait a while. It's definitely not as fast as you'd like from a drive-thru but hey, you don't have leave your car! The first visit I ordered the tenders and 6 wings combo, that came with fries, Texas toast, and a drink. It was a lot of food! The garlic Parmesan wings were really good, and so were the chicken strips. My favorite dipping sauce was their honey mustard, it is so good! My husband ordered fried pickles as his side and he loved them. The last time we went, I ordered a bacon chicken sandwich with fries which was pretty good as well. My husband ordered the fried mushrooms the second time and they were pretty good but he preferred the pickles. They also forgot the ranch for our mushrooms even after asking us if we wanted ranch. Overall, we have had decent service, and good food. I am sure we will be back

    A delectable Oreo shake

Mid Service, Mid Food, [EXPENSIVE] the fries were bland and chewy. The coleslaw was not trying to be anything in particular, it wasn't even attempting to be good. The chicken was "ALRIGHT".. They should name themselves 'Thick Shakes'.. their shakes (Oreo) were actually really good. So all and all, if you like mid chicken restaurants go here.

This is the second a problem with this location until now. This is the worst experience I have EVER had at any restaurant , the first time was when my food smelt like cigarette smoke. The chicken tasted fine so I gave it a second chance. Looking back terrible mistake, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this. The worst experience I've ever and will probably ever have at a fast food restaurant.

How do people not like this place? The wait time wasn't long AT ALL! Me and my family had a long complicated order but they got the whole order right! The wings were perfect! They had just the right amount of sauce. They were a little messy but all wings are messy. The fries were absolutely delicious! I would definitely recomend this place to everyone!

I'm excited just thinking about it. But oh man was I hoping for better. And I think this place could get there, if they can change some things. Joyce and Brandy laid it out well, so I'll just echo some main points: - The food could be better. Apparently it has been before. What I saw felt pretty low effort, the crispiness wasn't there. (South) Korean Fried Chicken is amazing because even with those delicious sauces, the chicken stays crispy. Best of both worlds! These wings were soggy. I didn't feel great after eating the meal. It wasn't ideal. - The service was nonexistent. I came up to the human at the counter, who directed me not to talk to her but to put in my order on the screen to the side. I hate these. I hate them so much. The UX on the terminal was clunky, the navigation in particular was so bad that there were whole sections of the menu that seemed to be missing. I now know to swipe left on the headers to scroll right to a second page of root-level categories, but be honest, just reading that in a sentence is confusing and annoying. Some people may like kiosks. That's fine! But mandating them is awkward and obnoxious. - I'm still on the service. There's a big menu. There are paper menus. There are little signs advertising fun looking items. I already know what I want. It is so much easier and more enjoyable to order with a real human and get their help. Why put the added friction of learning a clunky interface? An employee would be fluent in the system even if it's bad. And if my case is any indication, it's not helping their sales. I would totally have ordered more dishes if I'd known that was an option. It just looked like they were out so it wasn't available. - After putting in the order, I was prompted for a tip for the service. Which just felt like a coup de grace to my psyche. - It felt like there was no heart here. That's probably an ownership issue. I'm sympathetic to a point, it's not easy in general and there's a lot of pressure to cut costs (especially with the tariff arsonist disrupting supply chains). But the vibe here was dismal, you could feel it in the food and the staff. The space itself seems set up well to have large groups and good times. Could be a fun spot. But right now, the impression I get is that aside from the wings the kitchen does a lot of prepackaged instant food. So I'm not sure what they're trying to be - a decent wing place, or more of a fast-food/gas station type of spot. A vending machine with a deep fryer. Like I said before, this place has potential to be great if they can change some things. They're just going to have to want to. I'm rooting for them.

There was a pretty good selection for me to choose from on tap, and Katie was able to pick up an NA beer for her to drink. It was a great little lunch. The service takes a bit of a hit on this one. Just a lack of urgency for the staff seems to have an unbalanced cadence. Quick to take the order. Slow to deliver drinks. Quick to deliver food. Quick to check back. Slow to check back again for the check. Slow to process the check. I am not sure if this is a training issue, as many of the staff are young. That said. Other than the cadence, the staff is extremely nice and helpful. This is an old wooden bar. The entire place reeks of the old wood pool hall and is so much fun to just be in. I will be back. Took family there for my grandson's birthday. Loved the theme…read more Started off with happy hour appetizers......tater kegs and two orders of fried pickles, our kids favorite. Tater kegs were good, taste and size-wise. But we wound up hardly eating much of the fried pickles. They were drowned in salt, so much so even the ranch couldn't compensate or cover it up. My wife got the unlimited wings. She tried three different flavor of wings, all very salty to the taste. Sweet Chili, the Popping Pineapple and the Teriyaki. And the teriyaki really didn't taste like teriyaki at all. My daughter had the veggie burger, and she said it was very salty. I ordered the deviled eggs and the jalapeno creamed corn. The deviled eggs were good; filling was a little runnier than I usually like in a deviled egg. The jalapeno creamed corn had some good spice, but another dish that had entirely too much salt in it. When my wife and first got there to get the table for our party, the host asked if we had the app. We did not, he instructed us how to download it, and told us we'd be getting an email for a free burger. He also told us about the 20% off "Vintage" discount for seniors, of which I am one. At the end of our meal, the server (who was really cool, by the way) gave us our bill, which totalled with tax $165 plus some change. I told him I was a senior and wanted the vintage discount. He brought in iPad over, entered a couple things and brought us a new bill. I glanced at it and it said $163 and some change. So I walked after him and asked him if I paid up front and that's where they gave the discount. He said no you pay me and I did give you the discount. Sure enough, on the receipt, it was saying vintage discount......$2.60. Now I use math in my head every day for work as an air traffic controller, so it didn't take me long to figure out $2.60 is WAY BELOW 20% off of $165. I was looking for some fine print somewhere that might explain this particular math conundrum. Couldn't find anything. I was going to find our server or a manager, but the family was ready to go, and since it was a birthday my wife didn't want me to make an issue of it, so we left. Not happy with the liberal usage of salt in everything, and with today's prices, especially not happy with the issue with the discount that was about 18% short. Probably won't be back.
