He wasn't rude, but he appeared uninterested and gave the impression that it might have been his first day. I ordered two combo meals with drinks, but I only received one drink. When I pointed it out, I was told I had to purchase the second drink separately and ended up paying nearly $5 for a sweet tea that should have been included with the combo. Additionally, the brisket combo I ordered came with a very small portion of fries--it looked like the leftovers from the bottom of the batch. The sandwich itself tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I chose not to raise the issue at the time because I didn't feel confident it would be understood or resolved. I understand this is a fast-food BBQ restaurant, but I still believe every job deserves someone's best effort. This experience was just not up to the standard I've come to expect from this brand. There were plenty of tables as they close at 9 pm. A few minutes after placing our order, we were informed that they had run out of burnt ends, which was disappointing. We substituted brisket instead, and although we requested marble brisket, it was extremely dry and overall not enjoyable. Unfortunately, this meal did not meet our expectations. It would be helpful when the kitchen informs cashier when certain meats were sold out so then customers won't be disappointed.
