Oh my goodness, this place is for the donut lovers! They have such a wide variety. I had no idea it was a chain with other locations. Either way, it was so much fun to grab a box of donuts and try all the unique flavors you wish other places offered, along with some wacky creations you never would have imagined but end up finding oddly satisfying. One thing I really liked about this place is that their unique flavors do not rely on over-the-top toppings. A lot of donut shops that claim to be "creative" tend to go overboard with sugary stuff such as extra marshmallows, loads of frosting, candy chunks, and so on. Yes, they do have some sweeter donuts, but many are simple, interesting, and well-balanced. For example, the donut with lavender frosting and nothing else was delicious. It is the light purple one in the photo. Sweet, floral, and flavorful without being buried in sprinkles or candy. The only donut we did not enjoy was the mint one. I was so excited to try it because I love mint, but it ended up being too sweet for us. The flavor was very strong, almost artificial, and overly sugary. I was hoping for a more subtle mint flavor. That said, someone who enjoys very sweet treats might love it. I just personally prefer more balanced desserts. On the other hand, the ube donut was a favorite. It is the dark purple one in the photo. It had just the right amount of sweetness, a nice texture, and not too much frosting, which I really appreciated. The snickerdoodle donut was just okay. The flavor was accurate, but both of us, who usually prefer less sweet desserts, actually wished it had a little more frosting. That is not something I usually say. Snickerdoodles are one of our favorite cookies, so we had high hopes. While it wasn't bad, it was a bit light in flavor and could have used a little extra something to really shine. The final item in our box was the apple cinnamon bear claw, and it was the best overall. From flavor to texture to balance, it was excellent. I've never had a non-traditional bear claw before, so this twist was a pleasant surprise and definitely worth getting. Overall, this place is perfect for anyone who loves donuts and enjoys trying fun, unique flavors that don't rely on overwhelming sweetness or gimmicky toppings. I would absolutely go back to try more. Be sure to check out their hours, as they are open late and constantly making fresh donuts throughout the day due to the steady foot traffic. They use to sell vegan donuts but the last 4 times I've gone they no longer have any vegan options at all. It's really disgusting to take away one of the only dessert options for vegans in this dumb city but it clearly shows they never cared about their vegan customers. The shop is located just across the street from the Tesla super charger which makes it a great little snack on a long drive. I got a glazed donut with frosting on top. The taste was pretty standard for a donut, no complaints about that. They had some funky looking flavors with bright colors and toppings but I just got a more basic one. The price seemed a tad higher than a hole in the wall donut place. 2 donuts and a small ice coffee for $11 seems a little pricey. But the quality was good and I'm glad I got a little energy for the rest of my long drive. I'm sure I'll go back to try some of their more fun options next time read more

I LOVE SDC! I usually stop here on my way to SF because they have the Nutella Pillow which features a music note design on top. I love to bring these for my siblings who are both musicians (they go crazy for these). Plus, we're Italian so we love Nutella!!! Win-win! Andddd, it doesn't matter when we hit the road, this place is 24/7! Aside from that perk, I love the variety here. They have 100 different fresh donuts daily and do monthly features. Stopped by here because my friend is a fan of their donuts. Service was very nice and quick, and there were plenty of seating. When we visited on a Sunday late afternoon, there were a bunch of people in there working on their laptops or hanging out with friends. I had one donut. Very good tasting donuts. It tasted like Dunkin' Donuts when it started 30+ years ago. I really missed that taste and I'm glad I get to enjoy them again.The server is very nice and helpful. The place is nicely painted, very colorful out of this world donuts. They have game boards and long tables to accommodate a family who can eat and play at the same time. Me and some friends visited this place around 11 AM on Saturday morning. And I am so glad we gave this place a try! It was about half full, but they was still plenty of seats for us to sit and enjoy our donuts. Everything was incredibly clean. And the atmosphere was pretty calm. I tried two donuts, one was a Nutella filled donut and the other was Horchata donut holes. The texture of the donut was wonderful. There is an incredible amount of oven spring, mix with wonderfully delicious dill. There wasn't very much Nutella in this donut, but just enough to get that wonderful flavor mixed with that sweet puffy dough. The Horchata donut holes were also delicious. Cinnamon sugar outside, with a delicious cream filling on the inside. Honestly, I wish I would've eaten more of them! All in all, this is a place I would definitely come back. Great donuts, great environment, and very friendly staff. I was actually really surprised because they also sell candles. I was very tempted to buy a baking candle to take home as a gift. Came here 7 years ago waiting in a huge line and have finally made it back to review! I didn't have a big impression of the place when I first went other than the fact that there are so many people if you go on a Saturday morning but I was pleasantly surprised when I came back on a late Friday night to snag some donuts. I got the fun Mickey Mouse pumpkin shaped donut which is pumpkin spice flavored, the lavender donut, and the strawberry cake with sprinkles. Honestly the strawberry cake was a little disappointing and way too dense in my opinion, but the lavender donut really blew me away. It was super fragrant and tasted exactly how I hoped it would and was the perfect ratio of just enough flavor to dough as I take a bite! When I attended Cal Poly, SloDoCo was the ultimate hotspot for creative, convenient, and yummy donuts. The workers there were often other students (so friendly vibes and fun energy!) when I visited and there were plenty of other people there to study and enjoy their beverages and desserts. I love stopping by here every time I'm in the central coast. Love their aesthetics, vibes, & of course donuts. They're very fun and quirky. Always excited to see the whimsical donuts they have each time I visit. My most recent visit I found that they have the spiral donuts. It's been going viral in the Bay the past year so it was nice to not wait in line. Also it was really good. It's nice grabbing donuts to go and then heading to dt for a coffee or tea. I found this place on Yelp and decided to check them out with my husband last Friday morning, around 10:45 am. When we came in, we were greeted and helped by an employee behind the counter. We ended up ordering: Creme Brulee, $3.80- This was freshly placed on the tray from the back and so my husband decided to get this. There is cream inside but surprisingly wasn't overly sweet. I thought this was good but I guess I was expecting more with the top since it looked like a creme brulee. The top didn't have a nice hard shell (although I am sure that may be difficult to achieve on a donut). Lavender Raised Ring, $2.60- I had high hopes for this donut but was disappointed with the purple lavender frosting. It was just too sweet. The donut itself though was fluffy and light, a really nice donut that I would probably want to eat plain. I wouldn't get this again. Taro, $2.80- This was a nice donut with the taro flavor that was well balanced. The donut was also light and fluffy like the lavender donut. This was probably the best donut that I had of the 4 we bought. But it would have been nice if this donut had taro inside. Banana's Foster, $3- My husband picked this but he didn't share any with me. He thought it was good but just felt it was just a donut with bananas on it and cream. -------------------------- (Total= 12.20) Service was friendly and wait time was not long at all. There was only one person ahead of us in line but an employee came out and took us immediately afterwards. I loved their vegan non-gluten free donuts from the beginning, close to a decade now. But after a decade of having them they're gone. They are proud to have 100 flavors and can't make a single vanilla vegan cake option? It makes you feel like you don't matter. I'm very sad that they've made the choice to only have the gluten free/vegan donuts as they are (in my opinion) terrible. They're very gooey, have little flavor, and have chunks of something unidentifiable in them. I wouldn't even call them donuts. They're able to be open 24 hours, but not able to make an edible vegan donut. I used to buy a dozen at a time and stack them to make a birthday cake tower for family. Discontinuing them when there are so many people who can't have eggs or dairy is a bizarre choice. read more

Amazing donuts. Walked in randomly at 2am and was met with fresh warm donuts. Everything there was tasty and demanded I return many times to try more. The maple chocolate chip pillow is my kryptonite. It was warm, it was different, and it is one of the best donuts ever. Apart from the fact that there were a few unique flavors such as green tea, I did not find the donuts to be anything special.
