I experienced excellent customer service, but the food was a bit hit-or-miss for me. Starting with the highlights, the Jamaican beef patties were fire. I honestly wish I had ordered more than two. The fresh juices were also a standout; the Pineapple Ginger and Hibiscus were both spot on. Even the imported ginger beer from Kingston was really good. The jerk wings were absolutely delicious, and those small bread rolls (similar to cornbread muffins) were super tasty. The peas and rice and the plantains were also on point. Now for the downsides, the oxtails were disappointing. They weren't very meaty, and at $35 a plate, I expected more than mostly bones. I did get one decent piece, but overall it didn't feel worth the price. The vegetables were also bland. Dessert was another letdown. The sweet potato pie wasn't sweet enough and had an overpowering nutmeg flavor. The cobbler was undercooked, the crust was raw and inedible, and the peaches tasted like they came straight from a can. Overall, a mixed experience, but I'd still come back for the patties, wings, and fresh juices.

Lady welcomed us with a smile and help answer my questions patiently. I like Jamaican veggie patty so ordered that. And some veggie curry lunch to go. As soon as I got back home I tried the festival and it reminded me of an Indian sweet fried puri we make back home. And the rice with chickpeas and cabbage had a nice charcoal biryani aroma to it. Finished all the food quickly. Will definitely suggest this place for their veggie curry. So I like to drink soursop green tea high in antioxidants and soursop used as chemo alternative back home in India. So wanted to try that but the lady said it has added sugar. I would totally drink a fresh raw soursop juice if they had a small batch of that. Or could make a sugar batch on the spot as per customer demands. Jus saying. Cool relaxed ambiance. And I think the owner walked in with cool cap and long cinnamon roll bun look, asked everyone how they doing and find everything ok. Pretty cool dude. The only thing I didn't like is that I noticed the lady gave free samples to a couple who walked into the restaurant when we did. And I felt like I was curious about the food and soursop juice but didn't get any sample. Hehe.

I decided to make the trip out to OG Coley's and was super excited to try from the videos and reviews that I saw online. But with just the oxtail plate, side pattie, and a soursop drink, that was about $50, which was a bit on the pricer side, and it really didn't leave me feeling full or super thrilled after trying it. I'm glad to know there is a Caribbean restaurant in the valley, but I probably would never go again.

Love coming to this restaurant. I've been to a lot of them, but if you're looking for originality, excellent food, great customer service and a family friendly environment, then this is the place to come. Always 10/10 on everything, no matter what day or time you choose to come!!

The dry brown stew fish

They get the orders wrong you asked for brown stew fish, and they give you steamed fish. Then when you complain about it, they tell you take a picture. You send a picture of the dry rice and the steamed fish. A stew is supposed to be a wet dish, not a dry dish. And if you go there and order, make sure you check what they put in the bag before you walk out because if you don't, it's gonna be a whole lot of excuses i've been eating Jamaican food for the past 45 years when Mr.Coley was running the restaurant everything's was perfect

Once again 10 out of 10, Coley's has never failed me yet! Always hot, flavorful, delicious! I had th Brown stew chicken with rice and peas, plantain, festival bread and callaloo lunch platter with a pea soup which is super good. I also tried the macaroni and cheese for the first time and it was dynamite! Service is always nice, helpful, and gracious. Always clean and always people dining in, ordering takeout, or picking up orders. Yes the food is that good!

Fire that what it is! My husband had the goat curry plate and I had the jerk chicken salad. My new obsession is anything ginger so I opted for the Jamaican Ginger Beer, wow!! I finished it before my food came bc it was the best I've ever tasted. Neil suggested the Pineapple Ginger juice made in-house. Definitely a must try when you come in! We'll be back! Thanks for the amazing customer care Neil!

COLEYS IS BACK! ( I may be a little late lol). I grew up on Coleys when they were over on Florence 20+ years ago. Glad to see the family is back and serving the community. The service was top tier, I was greeted by what I believe is one of the daughters. After she took my order I posted up in the restaurant and watched the many hames they had in the TVs. The ambiance is a homey vibe. The food is everything I remembered it to be. It was a nostalgic experience similar to the critics in ratatouille, it transported me back to my childhood, they clearly didn't lose their touch. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Plate with Rice and Peas festival, Plantain, a side of Jerk Wings and Saltfish Fritters. Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned by Jah! LOVE! 100/10 experience check it out if you're in the area or just want some good Jamaican Food.

Discovered The Original Coley's from a TikTok and boy I'm glad I did! The person who took our order answered all our questions about the menu, and when we did order the food came out very quick! That person also let us know how everything is made in-house, including the juices! We tried to Jamaica Punch, and it was so good! We tried the oxtail entree, jerk chicken lunch, curry goat, mac and cheese, and curry chicken patties. Everything was beyond flavorful and I can't wait to come back!

Decided to have Coley's for lunch today and it was our first time! We decided to do takeout and waited about 10-15 min. Everything was still super hot when we got home, so you know it's super fresh! Inside has about 6-8 tables and is super welcoming. The staff were so nice. Pro tip: get one of their homemade juices -- they're soo good. My husband and I ordered: lunch portion jerk chicken, oxtails entree, goat curry a la carte, chicken curry patty, and mac n cheese. All the dishes were so good!! We were missing one of our fav Jamaican spots in New York and this held up so well!!! All of the meat dishes were so tender and packed with flavor. No notes. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

I definitely was excited to see Coley's while in the valley especially because of the greatness they're known for from their Inglewood location. I haven't had their food in many years and was excited to try. Unfortunately, I was very unimpressed. The food looked and smelled great however, that didn't match the taste. The jerk chicken had the spice but the flavor was lacking along with the sides. I also ordered a beef patty - the beef filling was gummy and tasted like it was microwaved. The service was great and I could tell they were making an effort to ensure we didn't wait very long for our food. It is a nicely decorated restaurant that was extremely clean and inviting. Even the music was great. I just wish I had much better things to say about the food. I wish them much success.

Jerk Salmon

Delicious! I'm a big jerk chicken and goat fan but was in a seafood mood so decided to try the jerk salmon, I had never had that combo before. It was delicious, plantains fried to perfection and good portions too. I ordered delivery so can't speak to the ambiance but look forward to trying other items here soon!

Jerk Chicken entree with rice, Festival, plantains

Very unassuming spot next to the mail shop but good food and good service. Ordered the pineapple ginger drink which was delicious. Beef patty was good; a little spicy and moist. For the entree, I tried the jerk chicken. It wasn't spicy enough for me but the chicken was juicy and I really enjoyed the meal overall. Not sure if they toned down the seasoning for Angelenos but it's the best Jamaican food I've had in LA.

Yes it was that good.

If you like a little heat, I highly recommend ordering a side of the chilis--they take it to another level. And don't skip the espresso martini! I was there for Tequila Tuesday last week (they have a $10 specialty drink menu!), and the deviled eggs absolutely hit the spot. Whether you're going for the famous Philly, the BBQ, or happy hour, Bone Yard Bistro is definitely worth adding to your list. Trust me--you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

I'll go one by one as I really didn't skimp on any of it..... First off, the brisket was so tender I couldn't even get it on to my plate originally. I had to keep stabbing at it with a fork and it just kept falling into pieces it was magical. The flavor was amazing with the perfect combination of that smokey and fire grilled taste. Didn't even need to use any sauce, but don't sleep on their BBQ sauce it had the perfect flavor of not too acidic and not too sugary. It's hard to stop eating it. I had to follow it up with the brisket quesadillas because.... well because they were staring at me and I had to show them who was boss.... Again, insane flavor combo and pleasantly addicting. Next move I had to throw down on a couple of hot wings to make sure my taste buds were still jumping and ready for the upcoming situation. Just for reference purposes, nice little kick with a bit of smokey flavor. Could've eaten 20 in one sitting but was continuing on my path of BBQ destruction. We now veered over to the baby back ribs .... I think I ate 10 before I realized what was going on. Yet again, the flavor was perfect and the meat was cooked to perfection. It didn't need any sauce, but I was a big fan of loading up on the BBQ sauce for these bad boys..... Next I shifted my fat eyed focus over to the tri-tip. It had that perfect pink center looking like a medium rare meaty super model. I went a different route here and dipped it into this horseradish sauce concoction that I never seen or heard of in my life. I don't know what was in that sauce, but it was phenomenal. I could have literally eaten this stuff by itself, but everyone was looking so I didn't want to make it weird. The tri-tip itself didn't even need any sauce and was super juicy, but that sauce just elevated the taste to another level. Now we decided to go a different location on the farm pay tribute to some smoked chicken. I had to dabble with both the BBQ sauce and the horseradish sauce as my dipping/smothering choices for this tasty bird. Couldn't even tell you how great it was without the sauce, since my mind was already fading trying to fight off my meat sweat coma. Lastly for our protein portion of the evening, I had to top it off with some of that pulled pork. Now this was extremely flavorful and some of the best I've had in quite some time. I did however enjoy lathering it up with that BBQ sauce like some of his fellow plate mates I already devoured. I will give a shout out to the sides, even though I only had a brief taste of each as I was going hard on the proteins. High fives to the potato salad, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, street corn, corn bread, tator tots and collard greens. I may have possibly missed one or 2, but after gorging on disgusting amounts of food, you tend to forget things. Had to make sure to sneak some of those greens in there so my heart didn't give out.... I however did not indulge in the chips and salsa that were there since I didn't want to come off as a pig..... So instead (as I forgot to mention previously), I took the queso and poured it over some pulled pork because that's what needed to happen at that moment.... Boom! For the grand finale, we had this banana pudding dessert that literally put me over the top. If I could openly cuss on this platform, I genuinely would.... It was absolutely orgasmic. That's right, you read that correctly. I don't know what they put in that thing, but to call it amazing would be an understatement. Pretty sure I blacked out at some point while finishing my bowl of dessert. As you can read, I was not a fan of any of the food in any way shape or form.(Sarcasm ...) I look forward to going back, but I will need to wait until I awake from this painful food coma I've been fighting off since the ending of the World Cup match watching USA beat the breaks off of Bosnia with one man down. Much love on the food and I happily dedicate this extra fat fold on my stomach and the 8lb weight gain to AJ's BBQ.
