Slow haste is perfection! The space is adorable with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is classic with some fun seasonals. The folks are friendly and the branding is adorable. You really can't go wrong, but my favorite is the orange, cinnamon, vanilla latte which is so perfectly balanced. It may be my favorite latte in the city. I also love their seasonal flavors, the banana caramel was insane, the funfetti was fun, and the raspberry almond was delicious. We made the drive to finally try this coffee shop after hearing so many great things about it, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The café is on the smaller side, which gives it a cozy, welcoming feel. There's plenty of seating indoors, along with a few outdoor tables if the weather is nice.Both of our coffees were excellent, but the pastries completely stole the show. They were fresh, buttery, perfectly flaky, and featured some really fun, creative flavor combinations. The staff was friendly, efficient, and handled the steady stream of customers with impressive speed. People kept pouring in, yet they managed to keep the line moving while still providing great service. Street parking is available, but since there are several popular businesses on the same block, it took us a little while to find a spot. read more

Thanks to an Instagram reel, I stumbled across Slow Haste Coffee and I'm glad I did. Located on NE Glisan, Slow Haste shares a space with The Collector, giving it a unique coffee-by-day, bar-by-night vibe. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated learning that their beans are sourced from farms around the world. There's plenty of seating and tables, making it an easy spot to settle in for a while. The large sliding windows are a nice touch too, they let the summer breeze roll through and make for a perfect morning coffee experience. The hot latte with vanilla, orange, and cinnamon was not too sweet and overpowering & was very smooth. Pour was beautiful the service was friendly. A very cute and cozy coffee shop on Glisan. The interior has a similarly eclectic feel as Bastion on Mississippi, but turned up a bit. I came here based on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! Their coffee by itself is really good, but they also have rotating seasonal house made syrups that make this shop unique. For instance, one of the seasonal syrups I had was Red Miso Caramel which led to an incredibly unique and delicious latte. It seems like they change the syrups somewhat frequently but always post the new flavors on their Instagram. Cozy little shop with a simple menu with a couple crafted drinks. Randomly came upon this shop on yelp. I'm usually hesitant to try newer places but I'm completely glad I didn't pass this one up. Looked at the menu and at first glance it seemed like your standard coffee shop. Then I saw the interesting flavors they have concocted. I went with the Rice pudding myself which is toasted rice syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, condensed milk. OMG, it was one of the best drinks I've ever had. Was visiting and went on Friday around 730am. Was pretty slow until I reached 9am when they had a line forming out the door! The ambiance is cool and I love the option of Guava+Basil (I didnt get a little leaf though) with my drip coffee. I'm pretty sure it's was a puree and not a syrup which is what I'd prefer I think what I most enjoy is the dog-folk who come in and out and seeing them interact with each other. Back in September, my boyfriend and I went to Portland for our anniversary. I had seen Slow Haste all over TikTok and am so happy we ended up going! It was so cute and the drinks were very good. The staff was very nice and helped me decide what I wanted to get since there were so many options. We went when the fall menu had just dropped so I got the Blackberry Maple Iced Chai- so good 10/10! Have gotten some really good drinks lately at Slow Haste. My favorite house made syrup flavor is the Orange/Cinnamon/Vanilla. You can see across the bar how they take effort into making each drink. The syrups are never overly sweetened just enough to give you the extra boost while still being able to taste the coffee. Love that they switch up the seasonals often. They had a small but well rounded coffee selection they're very committed to quality. I was really excited to see their special coffee drink! An pineapple espresso tonic. I've absolutely been loving espresso tonics so to see they had a special one made me so happy! It was well crafted with the pairing of flavors and granished beautifully.
