Wow this place. Total hidden gem. Stumbled across this place and so glad we did. Love the vibe and even better the drinks are out of this world. Fairly priced and well crafted. Great service. We visited twice in one night was so good. Pre dinner and post dinner!! We will be back.

I had to come back to have a good cocktail at SM23! Their cocktail menu is uniquely crafted with delicious drinks and Indian/Pan-Asian tapas. The service was quick we were the only ones in the space. I attached a couple of pics for ambiance. Nice spot for date night.

This place definitely has potential, but it just wasn't there tonight. Here on a quiet Saturday evening: bossa nova music is softly playing, and service is extremely slow. It made for a very sleepy vibe. My cocktail, which took at least 15 minutes to order, was pretty good. The SM23 mule, however, did not have any ginger beer flavor to taste like a mule. It was a good cocktail if it were called something else. We waited about 20 minutes for the bill, which never showed up, so we paid at the bar. It was probably better to order at the bar, too, since servers were virtually nonexistent, although it was empty. I would recommend someone visit for a first date since the sleepy music was perfect for a casual convo. I would also suggest ordering and paying at the bar.

One of my girlfriends and I decided to come here to celebrate her birthday. When we arrived I had to find street parking a little distance away. I couldn't find the entrance so I walked through the hotel, past the movie theater and found the spot. I was told by who I believe was the manager or owner of the 3 places, there was garage parking that they would validate for us for next time and that would make access easier. The place was a small lounge setting with a bar and cute section seats. I was able to sit where I wanted. They had a playlist going with some music. We were served by Cruz and Sophie which were also the bartenders and they were nice. I got the raspberry and lemongrass martini and it was pretty good. Followed by Cruz's special drink he made for me and that was good too. My friend got the grapefruit mojito which she loved and the steamed shrimp dumplings. She said that was good as well. The bill came to about $65 gratuity included because food was ordered. All in all we had a good experience.

Came only for drinks, it was actually for an event. Drinks well made but on the pricey side. They do have bar seating and also comfy couches. Service was very good.

Came here for a drink after work. This place seems one of 3 total restaurants. The place was totally empty so we got to see it fully and it looks like a great place to gather. We ordered a few apps and martinis. Our server seemed took our order and handed us food. NOTHING more. We enjoyed being there and the environment. The apps were "fine" . For the purpose of convenience would repeat. Street parking was available or you can park in the lot attached to the hotel, there was plenty of signs to direct you to the restaurant of that's your preference.

This was such a great little spot!! We stopped in here for drinks and not only did they look so good they tasted great! You are able to order apps from the joint Ming II restaurant while you are there and honestly perfect spot for a happy hour! They also validate parking which is a major bonus!

A hidden gem of Morristown..!! Don't go by size ( not they always say)...This bar/lounge is small but a greet meets up location if you're with a FEW friends or want to have a nice, intimate date with a significant other. cocktails and the appetizers are amazing, not to mention the atmosphere. It has a nice, dark and sexy vibe going on. The drinks are absolutely amazing! The bartenders are fun and quick. This is the adjoining lounge to Mehndi & Ming II. All three have the same kitchen. We ordered Mango Mohito and some raspberry drink ( i forgot the name). My wife hardly likes flavored Mojito but she was gaga over it. Good music, good crowd, this is the place to go!"

Great Service, delicious drinks and really good food! I came here a few weeks ago and had been here for New Years precovid with my boyfriend and we truly enjoy this place when we're in the Morristown area! In our recent visit, we had initially decided to come here just for drinks however since we were getting a bit hungry we decided to first get a snack here. We went with the shrimp dumplings which were really flavorful and delicious and paired really well with our drinks. After sometime, we asked our waiter if we could order dinner and thankfully he said we could from the restaurant next door called Ming II (I believe the owner is the same as SM23). We ordered the Drums of Heaven and the Pad Thai which were SOOO yummy! Also our waiter gave us delicious shots on the house to try which was very good as well! I definitely love this place and would recommend it to anyone in the area, for sure a 5/5 rating for me! Will be coming back soon!

Free shots for first check-in? Count me in! SM23 is a chill, low-key vibe type of lounge. It's fairly small in space but has a full bar and coordinates with a neighboring restaurant to offer a selection of small plates. The drinks are reasonably priced, I paid $12 for the "English Garden" gin cocktail which was very refreshing and pretty big. My only wish is that they had slightly louder music/different selection of music (but that's just personal preference). The staff/bartenders are very nice, friendly and offer excellent customer service. When I went there it was not busy at all (considering it was the weekend, after 9pm). The place is clean and has great interior design. Definitely recommend this place!

This bar/lounge has a super chill atmosphere! My friend and I stopped by to get a drink before watching a movie (the AMC is inside the same building), and it was great spot to hang out for a bit. The service was friendly even while it was super busy. I got the fresh mango mojito and it tasted like I was on vacation. The flavor was great and the drinks are strong but not overpowering. You can also get drinks from this bar if you're dining in at the two connecting restaurants!

What a great little secret! Bartenders make this place amazing with perfect drinks and great ambiance. We will be back.

What a hidden gem! Literally! It was a little difficult to find but I didn't mind the adventure. Once we arrived we walked into a small, romantic lounge. All the tables had a small candle at the center of the table that made the ambience very intimate. The lounge has booths all along the walls for seating. There is seating at the bar as well. I noticed that there were two TVs displaying different kinds of art which I thought was better than sports playing in the background. All the severs seemed to work together since we had different people check on us. They have a good selection of cocktails, bourbon, and wine. I was very impressed with all of the choices. They also offer small plates if you're looking to snack or share food with someone. Everything is aesthetically pleasing. Overall, I highly recommend!

While the aesthetic has a hipster edge to it, let's be clear: this is not a place where you get a cheap bucket of beer served by a pretentious, disinterested bartender. It is a haven for people who truly appreciate exceptional spirits. They distill incredibly high-quality, rare spirits right on-site, and the innovation and quality show in every glass. It is obvious that an immense amount of thought, care, and consideration goes into the flavor profiles of both their unique creations and their brilliant takes on classics. The drinks are pricey, but it's worth it for the premium experience. Their rum old fashioned is a personal favorite -- a truly innovative take on a timeless cocktail. For those who abstain from alcoholic beverages -- they do have a handful of tasty mocktails available. What elevates the experience even further is the exceptional service behind the rail. Instead of the indifferent attitude you get at some trendy spots, the team here is welcoming and highly engaged. They take the time to ask about your flavor preferences to recommend the perfect drink. The space can get quite loud and high-energy -- especially when multiple lively groups or bachelorette parties are overlapping -- so be prepared for the cacophony. Even so, for phenomenal cocktails and incredible service, this place is unmatched! If you want a masterfully crafted drink in an unforgettable, high-energy setting, this is the spot. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: New Jersey's draconian liquor laws prohibit microbreweries or distilleries from serving food, so bring your own snacks or order via your favorite delivery app. PRO TIP #2: Dismal Harmony does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of paid on-street parking on Morris Street. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, paid parking is also available in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot #10 (12 Wilmot Street).

The sound was good, and the lighting made it feel like a a nice bar. When I closed out my tab, I mentioned to the bar tender (who was not too eager to help) that the number seemed too high. He said it was late and that it was probably a mistake, but if it showed up on my bank app, that I should call the next day. I was very disappointed to find that I had been double charged; I was charged for four drinks instead of two. I had an open tab, and so did a friend, he was charged a correct amount but mine was doubled. I called the next day and spoke to a manager, he said it happened all the time and that it would clear within a few days- and it would be the correct amount. When it didn't, I called back and let him know. He was able to see my tab and my friend's tab and assured me that it would fixed, it would just take a few days to get in touch with their bank. He took my info and told me he would get back to me. That never happened. I called a week or so later, and was told the manager was not in, but they would get back to me. That months ago. First, overall I'd say the food was very good on all five visits. The first two nights, I had dinner here. On the first night, I sat at the bar and enjoyed a bowl of the French onion soup and the halibut. The soup wasn't huge for $12, but it tasted good, and the halibut was quite flavorful. I didn't realize at the time, but they add in an 18% gratuity, so tip extra at your own risk. On the second night, I ate at a table with two coworkers. I had the chicken paillard, which was a large portion and also very good. Service was strong at both the bar and table on consecutive nights. For the three breakfasts, I pretty much had the same thing every day...an omelette with a side of fruit. It also came with potatoes, but it would've been nice if it came with toast or something similar without needing to pay extra. Again, food was good. Service the first day was fine. The next two days, the older gentleman providing service couldn't have cared less. I (and others) would show up at 6:30, when they opened, but nobody would be there. We'd sit ourselves and then wait. Eventually he'd show up. It was difficult getting coffee too, as both days, my cup sat empty for a long time until I'd eventually flag him down. Everything was on his time. I would've given him little/no tip...if the 18% wasn't already added in. The rest of the restaurant...food and service...gets a 5. This guy gets a 1. I probably should've given this a 3, but it didn't seem fair to everything/everyone else.
