It came with macaroni salad and rice, the portion was generous, the pork was tender, and the cabbage was soft, well-seasoned, and tasty. The ahi itself had a great texture and tasted fresh. However, both the Shoyu Ahi and Hawaiian Style Ahi bowls were already well-marinated, and the greens were dressed with the same sweet soy based sauce. The combination made the bowls a bit too salty and sauce heavy, which overpowered the natural flavor of the fish. By the time we finished our bowls, we found ourselves reaching for coconut water to help balance the saltiness. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The restaurant was clean, the staff was efficient, and the Kalua Pork & Cabbage was definitely worth ordering.
