The main reason we hired movers was to avoid damaging our nice furniture.I explained what we needed moved over the phone. On the day of the move they showed up over an hour late. What we needed moved was not explained at all to the guys that showed up. Therefore, they started moving items that we didn't need moved, and when everything was eventually straightened out they were pressed for time and did not take proper precautions to protect our furniture. As a result, our nice/expensive furniture was damaged. I called them after we noticed the damage. They asked me to text them photos and said they'd take care of it and "put a smile on my face." Very friendly and reassuring. After that, I heard nothing. I called several times, and it went straight to voicemail. After a couple months I suspected they blocked my phone and sure enough, when I called from another phone it went through. I left a message and never heard back. Shady, shady business. Never have I worked with a company that so clearly lacked integrity.

I was all alone getting this move done, and let's just say this whole moving stuff really isn't any kind of fun when you're doing this by yourself as a woman. I couldn't even leave the house to go grab food, and the two brothers that came out were so kind as to bring me a hamburger. It was a small gesture, but it was very much appreciated since I hadn't eaten all day. They also had one of their wives run to Home Depot to get some rope for me, and they only charged me the exact amount for the rope. I'm sure other folks would've charged me for the price of sending her on her errands. They even showed up a few times to help wrap a couple of fragile items, and they didn't charge me for that. They were careful and cautious in getting our stuff moved. We didn't have one thing that was damaged. The guy who was packing up our box truck had some seriously *mad* Tetris skills. I don't know how they did it, but they managed to get everything we needed to into that truck. I stressed that it was really important to me to fit everything in there since I was just renting the truck for the one trip, and I couldn't afford a second trip. They were there for probably 8 hours or so, and they really worked it. I highly recommend them!

I've had them help me move with my own truck as well as with their company trucks and every time they move my items with care and have very reasonable prices for the services provided. On my last move, there was a scheduling error by the company in regards to the time the movers would arrive.... Since it was the same day, but just a different time slot it was no big deal (my total move was a small 2 hour job). Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control the movers ended up sitting in traffic for an extra 50 minutes because of an accident on the freeway. I mentioned it to the movers and they got the time adjustment/price difference approved by the manager, because they agreed it wouldn't be fair or right for them to charge me extra for time spent sitting in traffic when my original "move time" was scheduled for way earlier to avoid rush hour traffic. Then the contracted movers showed up on Friday and told my daughter they'd return in 30 minutes after they had lunch to finish packing. They never returned. And 2 hours later, we got an email stating they were charging us a $100 cancellation fee. I called Closetbox and they said they could reschedule and pick up her stuff next week but still had to charge her $100 for their screwup. This doesn't work because 1) THEY screwed up and the customer service rep admitted it and 2) She has to move out of her dorm TOMORROW so next week is absolutely ridiculous! Closetbox also claimed to have texted my daughter that they were coming today and she received no such text. My daughter is goes to a college with 30,000 students and we will. She sure to tel as many of them to NOT USE CLOSETBOX. They screwed up, then charged us for it. And then lied! Then the customer service rep said to go ahead and post this info because it doesn't matter. WOW. Even their employees want to go out of business! UPDATE: Closetbox called me back and refunded me all of the charges. It still doesn't make up for all of the stress that was caused and the last minute resolution we had to find. I appreciate the follow up, but I don't know that I'd use them again. Unfortunate since part of my work involves working to transition high school athletes to college.

This lot has about 50 spots, spaces for boats, fifth-wheelers and huge 45 ft motor homes. They also have spots for regular cars as well. The owners have really fixed the place up, adding new gravel and grading. There is a gate system with a code, to get in and out, and the whole lot has security cameras that are checked constantly. There is also a house nearby, where a family lives, so it is not just some unmonitored lot in the middle of nowhere. The owner is constantly looking for new ways to make this the best it can be and is open to feedback from the users. He is reliable and good about returning calls, and will even come out if there's an issue. They also use bill pay, which makes it easy to pay monthly, without dealing with checks.
