Small World but big flavors haha!! I am snob for certain things and hot wings are one. They had very very good hot wings in my expert opinion, the sauce was perfect and they were pretty crispy just like I like. I did also order fish tacos for my wife which she enjoyed and some mozzarella sticks too which were subpar to be honest but I still ate them haha. When you walk in you see a pretty long spacious bar area, and the dining space which was a good size for the building size. I am a big TVs to watch at the bar guy and they didn't have very many in there, I have a better set up in my basement. The bartender was quick and attentive while I waited for my order, that was a plus. A down side is the parking lot area isn't very organized and will have you parking in the neighborhood. As a whole Small World Inn Bar and Grill is a nice spot for some good eats and I assume some good drinks. I definitely will be back to get wings!!! Check them out when you are in the area. I went to Small World on 1/24/24 with my sister and nephew for lunch. My sister loves their cucumber drink. As usual the service was very slow and the food took a long time. However at the end of the meal we asked for a take out box and lids for our dipping sauces. I was appalled to see they charged 50 cents for each Styrofoam take out box and had the nerve to charge 25 cents for the lids to the dipping sauce (we already had the container) and there was an 18% surcharge and there were only 3 of us. I asked our server about these ridiculous charges and was told "the owner makes me do it". Wow, just nickel & dime your customers for already overpriced food! Had a great time here and the food was really good. Had the shrimp and chicken, it was a Thursday .75 cent each. Didn't get a picture of the food but had the honey mustard wings and garlic parmesan shrimp. I do remember the hobnera chicken, I was told they are extremely hot. I wanted a good salad one night. It was a little later in the evening and I knew options were limited. Well this place came up an d I had never heard of it. As many times as I have searched for places to eat I never came across Small World. Service walking through the door was amazing. They were attentive and gave the daily specials. When we explained it was our first time we are given a breakdown of the everything. We were given the weekly specials and also told to check out the patio area. to my surprise there was a Bocce Ball competition. We tried the pork tenderloin, house salad with buffalo chicken and jalapeño poppers. I have been a frequenter of this establishment for a few years now ( mostly on Taco Tuesday). I have also sampled a majority of the menu. This place has phenomenal food. Fried Chicken Friday is deliciously extraordinary. In addition to good food, the prices are fabulous. The Mixed Drinks and Cocktails that they concocted in house, are unique and colorful. This place is trash...... can't give minus 5 stars....I went there a couple of weeks ago with my girlfriend and I have to say that everything was horrible, food and mostly the service! At least they had good music but that was about it. The food was horrible..... we ordered the wings and they were so gross! Rubbery and they smelled bad!!!!. My girlfriend tried to complain and we know that the owner was so pissy about the situation. She has no customer service skills whatsoever........ the lack of empathy was unbelievable...she was very ignorant and sarcastic. We wouldn't recommend this place at all. Small World opened up a few years ago and I try to go often. The beer is always cold and they have food and drink specials daily. A bar is a bar but I can honestly say, everything on the menu is worth trying. Not only is the food great, but it is consistently fresh. Be sure to come in for taco Tuesdays for a specialty deep fried taco that is delicious. On Friday they have awesome fried chicken. Great spot that you can't go wrong with. read more

I read about this spot surfing around on yelp and since I don't stay too far, I decided to give them a try. I'm sooo glad I did. It's a nice size spot. Not to big or small and they have food and drink specials for EVERYDAY of the week. Tuesday's are $1.50 crispy beef tacos and I was extremely satisfied. It's very rare to find spots that sell crispy tacos the way that I was raised up eating them (deep fried), and all I can say is they have themselves a new regular! Very cool and low key spot for happy hour and decent prices for drinks as well. Mixed crowd ethnicity wise (which I like) and plenty of tv's to enjoy games while you cocktail it and eat. Haven't tried anything else on the menu besides their tacos and the spinach and artichoke dip but I do recommend this place for those who want to try something new and semi low key. read more

I have heard countless glowing reviews of Small World Inn from many friends and family. Finally, I had the opportunity to stop in and experience this neighborhood gem on the East side. The first big plus came when I ordered a bottle of Heineken, It was ice cold, exactly the way beer should be served! Very happy! :) Being a southside native Ukrainian-American formerly from Burnside, I tend to steer towards the ethnic fare at bars such as this. So I ordered the cevapcici, Serbian skinless small grilled sausages consisting of beef, lamb and pork or any combination thereof and seasoned to perfection. Served with kajmak, chopped onions and Serbian bread, fries of course too! They were outstanding! Ordered two (2) shrimp which were on a special to try and those were excellent too. Working class colorful patrons and a very attentive female bartender all made my dining and drinking experience, exceptional! It brought me back to the days when Golden Shell restaurant on Avenue N was the best place on the East side. I will return to Small World Inn.... I loved it! read more

Great place for your local Serbian/Croatian food. Have been to this place a couple of times since they reopened and both times had good food. This place does sell typical pub grub (burgers/fries) but goes to the next level by serving the Serbian/Croatian equivalents of them....so instead of just a burger you can get a Serbian burger which has pork mixed in. They also have shish kabobs (again various meats including lamb) and a serbian sausage (which tasted like beef jerky). A unique experience for those willing to venture to the far Southeast Side of Chicago or from Indiana. read more

Great neighborhood bar on the east side. Bartender's I thought were friendly, it being my first time in the place. Taco Tuesday's!!! Now everytime I have to pass through the east side I stop for a little food. The patrons are friendly and will easily start up a conversation about the game on TV. I ordered food to go. The "manager" who took my order was very rude. I placed my order at 12:12 and was told it would be ready in 15 mins. I got to the bar about 12:25 and got called a stripper by some idiot guy. So I ignore it and proceeded to pick up my food. A woman who worked there ran in and the manager proceeded to get into a yelling match about what work was done and what wasnt. Then she came up and I said I want to pick up my food. She was rude and said it will be another 5 mins. So I waited. It is now 12:45 and they just bagged up out food. I work maybe 5 mins away. It was $9.50 for a cold chicken sandwich and stale fries. I called back and asked for the bar owner and got into a debate with the manager about how I was lying about the food being cold and I was told i will never be able to talk to the owner. Horrible food for very expensive price and horrible customer service. Never will I ever go back!! read more
