So imagine my excitement when I discovered Napa offered gyros and falafel. I rushed to try it and was pleasantly surprised. The staff is friendly, the building is small but with a casual, comfortable environment. Prices aren't outrageous either. But most importantly, the food is worth it. It's not necessarily comparable to back home, but their falafel is amazing and just the right amount of crunchy. Veggies and bread always taste fresh and are vibrant colors when served. First off the owner is quite rude about having outside food and drinks inside his restaurant. My cousin had a starbucks drink, I was buying some chicken and he told her to get out because it's "not good for his business". Doesn't quite make sense if my relative was buying something from THAT place. The chicken isn't homemade. It taste like something I could buy from McDonalds. I was forced to come here with my bf, he insisted on taking me to try the food here. We checked it out today and it was okay. I wanted the Chicken Schnitzel Pita but they were out of it so I ended up getting the chicken strips and fries, which were good too. The service was super slow. This is our #1 place to go for lunch. I love to support local businesses and this is a family business, such good people. First thing, try out that pickle bar up front, don't miss out on those, each kind is a little different, all house-made and woo boy some are pretty spicy! For lunch or dinner, they make the best Greek salad I've ever had, piled high with romaine, red cabbage, onion, feta, cucumbers, tomato, etc and a dynamite yogurt based dressing on the side. I usually get the lamb on it, or shawarma. The other thing I go nuts for is their hummus and falafel, it's SO good I wanta lick the plate. I've also had their pitas; the breakfast one with a little egg and cheese is so simple but really yummy, and the lamb and schwarma are tasty and very filling.
