The server had no smile on her face and didn't bother to explain the menu and their specialities to us. When I had a question on a certain item, I felt she was irritated to answer and made me feel dumb on why I wouldn't know that already. She also missed ordering an item that I had placed. And because my party and I didn't feel welcome, we ended up leaving early without ordering further. There were other examples of poor service but I will bare the community the details. The worst was they charged 20% gratuity automatically for large parties, but they certainly didn't deliver. I am typically fine with auto gratuity but you have to provide service too. Food wise- the ceviche was bland. The skirt steak was flavorful and well executed. It's too bad that their service ruined it all. There are plenty other restaurants nearby that would be happy to earn my business.

I started with the creamy chicken croquetas, what a pity there were only three. I could have eaten a dozen. I also had the crispy asparagus and jamon "cigarillos" with manchego and a harissa aioli. Pure bliss. The roasted beets with walnuts and idazabal cheese were delicious and very generous, a reminder that one shouldn't go to a tapas restaurant alone! So take a friend or two and go.

We sat at the outdoor patio, which they had warned us was a little windy but they had space heaters. The indoor dining area looked cute as well. They have a good selection of hot and cold tapas. I liked the cauliflower one we got, along with the beet salad. I would say that the tapas are on the larger size. We also ordered the fried chicken meal which was delicious but too much food for two people! It comes with a delicious kale salad as well. I also ordered the cava sangria, which was good but super strong! I did feel like the service was fine but they weren't as super friendly as other places in Healdsburg. The service was really fast, food came out quickly.

What caught my eye was their Taco Tuesday specials and today just happens to be Tuesday! We came in early evening, just before the dinner rush and apparently this is a very popular local bar and grill. Most of their customers were regulars, I could tell. It felt warm and comfortable inside and it had a very community feel in there. I was observing how the server conversed with every customer and she was so kind and attentive. She was very helpful to me in suggesting some of their popular menu items. We got the fish tacos, the shrimp tacos, the lamb sliders, Brussels sprouts, grilled tri-tip, the flautas and the empanadas. I would say my personal favorites were the grilled tri-tip, the Brussels sprouts and the empanadas. The Brussels sprouts were lightly crispy and chewy but absorbed all the roasted shallot vinaigrette, so it was a nice umami bite every time. The tri-tip was cooked like I like it (I don't like my beef bloody, sorry, not sorry). It was so flavorful thanks to the black truffle compound butter! Omg! It was delicious! The empanadas were lightly crispy and came with a really good chipotle crema sauce and I was dipping my empanada in that sauce because it really complemented the chicken tinga filling and crispy cornmeal crust. My oldest son loved the fish tacos. They were so crispy and loaded. My youngest son loved the lamb sliders. They were tasty and had a slight smokiness but the rosemary aioli brought it all together for me. It was such a nice touch. Overall, based on the outstanding service we received and the delicious food, I would highly recommend this place if you're in Napa. We live in the East Bay, but whenever I come to Napa, I will remember to stop here to get some good eats! The staff was also friendly and super sweet!

The pastor tacos (also happy hour) were by far the best pastor tacos I've ever had. Super flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also tried the lettuce wraps. They were good, but probably not something I'd order again. The fried chicken sandwich was solid, juicy, flavorful chicken, and I loved that it came with fries since that's becoming rare in Napa. The burger was also good, again with fries (much appreciated). THE STAR: the octopus. WOW. So tender with the perfect balance of flavor. It was the only dish I managed to take a photo of because the presentation was beautiful and honestly better than any octopus dish I've had in the valley. 10/10!! Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable, helped steer us in the right direction, and kept things fun at the table. Huge thank you to Em for such a great experience! However, there weren't a ton of people in there so a larger party like ours thankfully worked. I was a little bit confused by the menu because I felt like it was attempting to be a fusion restaurant of some sort. Flavor profiles ranged from Asian cuisine to Italian and to Mexican/Latin. That being said everything that we ate was delicious. I do feel like some of the entrées felt a little bit incomplete. For example, the octopus dish was very good, but clearly needed a vessel to soak up all of the rich sauce. A side of rice would've gone a long way had it been included in the entrée. Our server and the bartender were amazing though. They came over and checked on us regularly, refilling our waters as needed, and took a group photo of us more than once lol. I just think that the menu could use some refinement and direction and if I returned, it would be more of a date night or just with one or two friends versus a larger group.

Making reservations was so easy and the woman I spoke with was very accommodating! When we arrived they sat us right away and were prompt on getting our drinks! Our server was hilarious and really on top of it. We ordered the little neck clams in butter and beer broth and wow they are incredible! We also got the little gem salad and the sourdough (this is a must) and we got the daily ceviche which was halibut with peppers. My partner got the hanger steak and it was cooked to perfection. She only gave up one bite to me but boy was it good! In the past we have also had the kale Caesar, the clam strips, yellow tail ceviche, and fresh oysters. I have not had a bite of food there that I did not enjoy. The place is shaped a little weird and some seats are more desirable than others. We love the booth (you pretty much have to make reservations to get one) but it is worth mentioning that we are both pretty average size people (maybe a bit more than average if I'm being honest) but anyone who is on the bigger side probably wouldn't fit in the booth. It's a really tight squeeze getting into them because they have these little wall things that come out a tad too far. It is great people watching from there though! They also have beautiful outdoor seating! Overall this is 5 stars for me. If you love seafood and good service you have to check this place out!

It's a 3-star experience at best--mostly decent food, but a frustratingly poor experience that means we won't be recommending. The Good: The Sauces & Service: The sauces here are beautifully executed, and our server was friendly and attentive. The vibe is a bit crowded but lively, don't fully stretch your hands, you might accidentally hit your neighbor... if you are tall enough! Santa Maria Ceviche: Hands down the best dish of the night. Fresh, perfectly marinated fish, and an excellent sauce. The Mid: Empanada: Decent flavor, but the pastry skin was a bit thick, leaving the innermost part undercooked and doughy-stretchy. Arepa: It was "interesting"--felt less like a traditional arepa and more like a deep-fried potato patty. The mushrooms on it were delicious, though. Fried Salmon Skin: A bit fishy, and you could tell the deep-frying oil wasn't as fresh as it should be. Drinks were ok, nothing special, but a bit pricey. The Absolute Worst (and why it's a generous 3 stars): The Grilled Sirloin was a massive disappointment and easily the worst dish of our entire trip. The quality of the cut was subpar--barely scraping the bottom of "Choice" grade, if not completely unrated. One entire end was so riddled with tough tendons it was literally impossible to cut through, and the rest was some what dry undersalted. It tasted "under-beefed," exactly like a steak that had been buried in the back of a freezer for months and lost all its essence. We politely mentioned the tendon issue to our server just so they could let the chef know. Somehow, this triggered a visit from the manager, who brought over three shots of "something sweet" to end the meal. Irony alert: the drink was packed with something like angostura bitters and wasn't sweet at all, lol. Instead of an actual apology, the manager condescendingly lectured us that sirloin is a tougher cut of meat. Duh. No one is comparing this to A5 Wagyu or a prime ribeye; it couldn't even compete with a basic supermarket sirloin! To rub (the missing) salt into the wound, he ichallenged our feedback by implicitly out that we ate most of it. I literally had to tell him that there were plenty of partially cut, inedible gristle pieces left right there on the plate for him to go verify himself if he cared so much. Great sauces can't save bad meat and defensive management. I cannot recommend.
