And I was pleasantly surprised :) Smallcakes in located in the Medallion shopping center, down the strip from a Target. It's a small building but cute and cozy-the inside is decorated nicely and there is plenty of seating. Staff was helpful, kind, and gave us some great recommendations! I am not at all ashamed to admit I ate my cupcake before snapping a photo-I chose a seasonal cupcake, the Caramel Apple Butter Pecan! It was perfectly sweet and topped with caramel frosting and a dollop of apple butter that had actual chunks of sweet apple in it! So great! Prices are fair-I paid $3.75 for my cupcake and it was a good size. They also have ice cream, which I am keen to come back to try. Give it a shot if you're in the area! These guys came out to our local dog park with cupcakes and pupcakes, and I have to say they were phenomenal! My husband and I really enjoyed their red velvet and vanilla cupcakes, and our pups loved their treats as well. This place is awesome! I've been here 6 times already. And everytime, I've been thoroughly satisfied! I went in today after the Big Storm and they said that they just got their power back on. So they wouldnt be open until 2pm. And I was fully prepared to wait/come back at 2. But then they came back out and said that they had leftover cupcakes from the day before. Wow, this place rocks. The wedding cake cupcake is amazing. I also had one of their specials of the day, milk n cookies. That's right, I had two cupcakes at the same time! It was worth the extra time on the treadmill. My kiddos had a smash which is a cupcake and icecream in a shake cup. Cupcakes were moist and delicious as usual! This was the first time we tried their cookies and brownies. It's just a matter of preference; we did not like their cookies or brownies. They were hard and dry. We prefer them soft and chewy. I was not impressed with the cake ball sugar cookie. I was expecting frosting and at least some moistness. It was all too dry. It was just a dry cake ball in the middle of a sugar cookie with sprinkles. The brownies were super sweet, I guess because they were covered in frosting, which I liked. What has happened to money-back guarantees on products? I purchased four cupcakes for over $15 late last Saturday afternoon. That evening my son tasted one and said that it tasted funny. At that point, I sliced into the other three to taste them (thus rendering them unuseable for guests) and found all three to taste stale and old. Since it was after the store's closing time, I did not take them back that evening. I also assumed (my bad, apparently...) that the store was still closed on Sundays, as it has been up until LAST Sunday, so I did not take them back then either. On Monday I had to work late and therefore could not take them back then. So on Tuesday I returned them to the store and asked for a refund. The two girls who were working there called the manager to ask how to process a refund. She told them it was too late to give a refund, as 72 hours had passed, so I left the cupcakes there. Today, Wednesday, I spoke with the manager and explained that the cupcakes were inedible and also why I was not able to return them until last night. She assured me that cupcakes were not held over from the previous day, but had she considered that the ingredients themselves might be old and stale and might have sat on a boat in the Pacific for some time? She offered four more cupcakes or a gift certificate for more, but I told her that at this point I was pretty gun-shy of their cupcakes since those had tasted so bad. She then repeated that 72 hours had passed and she "could not" issue a refund. Not even as a one-time courtesy?? I guess she thought I was going to do this every week!! I then left the store with no $15+ refund and definitely with no cupcakes. I have bought quite a few cupcakes from this store in the past, and they were all delicious but after this experience of bad-tasting cupcakes and bad customer service, I'm going to take my business to Sprinkles!! read more

Wonderful cupcakes! Amazing staff. I bought a large box of cupcakes for Fathers Day. On the way home, a car pulled out in front of me requiring me to slam on the breaks to avoid a collision. The cupcakes are large and hefty, very filling for the price. I did a six-pack for around $23 and also tried a macaron. The pistachio macaron ($2) was fluffy, crispy on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. The cupcakes I tried were Hot Fudge Sundae, Peanut Butter Cup, Pink Vanilla (I think that was the name), Lemon Drop and Wedding Cake. Hot Fudge was a very thicc chocolate cupcake full of chocolate frosting, with buttercream frosting, chopped peanuts, hot fudge drizzle and a cherry on top. It looked and tasted like a sundae, of course, and the cake was extremely moist and tasty but the frosting was way too much. Thick and stiff and very sweet, I couldn't do more than a small bite before I scraped it off to enjoy the chocolate cake on its own. Wedding Cake had a lighter almond-vanilla cake base which was delightful, but again, the frosting was thick and too dense, and cloying to me. Tons of frosting. They are excellent if you have a sweet tooth, and the girl working there was very nice, but this was a little too rich for my blood. I would prefer less icing, or maybe a 'whipped' icing or something lighter--- the buttercream just overwhelmed me. Of the ones I chose, the Lemon Drop was my favorite just because the light citrus was a nice break from the overwhelming chocolate flavor still on my tongue from the Hot Fudge Sundae. I would get these for an event or something similar, but I think the 'mini size' (they didn't have these on display in store so not sure if they were available for anything but special-order but they were on the menu board) would be PLENTY for me. read more
