Was in town and saw these next door to a Starbucks. It's been a while since I've had a cupcake, so why not. The store was cute and the staff was friendly. There were many cupcakes to choose from, Ice cream, frozen cakes and other items for sale. Looks like a great place to stop for any occasion. I purchased 4 cupcakes and paid $25. While pricey, I was hoping the taste made up for it. 3 of the 4 cupcakes were great. Not too sweet, great texture and the icing was heaven. The fourth was dense and just blah. All in all, could be that I'd had sampled 3 prior. Lol Take a minute to stop by. Will be back again!

My friend graduated nursing school on Sunday. I preordered the cake. I was scheduled to get on Saturday. I got distracted and forgot to get the cake. These wonderful people at Smallcakes, came after church on a Sunday and opened the store just so I could get this cake! Absolutely wonderful! The cake was beautiful and stunning. So many complimented this cake. Of course I raved about Smallcakes and made sure everyone knew who rescued me for the party.

We stopped in for our first try of king cake. It was nice they sold single slices. The other cupcakes were very appealing, so we had to sample more than cake! The lemon cupcakes were the best. The German chocolate was very rich. I really like the idea of just buying a cupcake over an entire cake.

Excellent service! This is my first time here since I moved to Pensacola and I am beyond impressed. Definitely a must-go if you are in the Pensacola area.

First time visiting this cupcake truck, as it happened to be one of the food trucks at the Equestrian Center today. Boy, was I giddy! Clockwise: Chocoholic (chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream), Birthday Cake (vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and sprinkles), Wedding Cake (almond cake with vanilla buttercream), and the Dunkaroo (funfetti cake with funfetti buttercream). I absolutely adore funfetti cakes, so the Dunkaroo was a must-try. They were all delish, but I thought the Dunkaroo was the best one... and the cutest! The cakes were moist, the icing had the perfect consistency, and the cake-to-frosting ratio was on-point.

Wow! Thank you for making my Pinterest inspired cake into a reality for my husband's big 5-0! It was amazing and delicious. The wedding cake flavor was a big hit. Everything was easy from the design, to ordering and pick up.

Small cake, but big bite. This place does a great job. Their frosting is rich and sweet. And most importantly the cake itself was dense and moist. Picking up my little plate, it was starting to bend due to the hefty cupcake. I got the carrot cake cupcake and it was tasty. No raisins ftw! Overall the product was good, maybe missing a little extra umph that you see in more gingery carrot cake. I definitely recommend this place for a dessert stop.

    Receipt

I was there today to purchase cupcakes and the person behind the counter was wiping her nose and mouth with her hands and fumbling with her hair. She was waiting on customers and did not wash her hands or put on gloves. When it was my turn I asked her if she wore gloves and she put some on. I paid for my cupcakes by giving her the money in her hand. When she returned my change she laid it on the counter. I asked for a receipt and she laid it on the counter as well. I knew what that meant. So, no I would not recommend this company based on the clerk behavior. Just lost a loyal customer!

Used Smallcakes again for our son's birthday and it was not only the coolest cake ever, it was delicious!! We'll be ordering again!!

My puppy dogs loved the pup cakes. The service was excellent and they were so nice. Thank you for thinking of our babies. They seemed to love them and would ask for more after the initial one was gone. I will be ordering again.

Definitely new since I left home. I was interested. Ambiance was wonderful. A good amount of seating with each sitting spot feelings mildly secluded, which is nice. No one wants their coffee shop gossip being overheard. And when you walk in, you're first greeted with that classic glass case of available pastries and goodies. It was hard to not just order one of each item. Service was nice. It was counter service, and they bring your order right to your table. Can't ask for better service than that. Nice folks, good small talk. And the food, it was delightful. We got a couple of fancy coffee drinks, which were well-flavored, not too sweet, and the iced one was presented in a mason jar. Classic. We also shared like four food items. The pull-apart monkey bread was sweet and dense and delicious. Don't order this if you're alone. You'll need help to finish it. Got a creme filled pull pastry thing. That was nice. Flakes for days. This was no rough puff. For the chocolate croissant, also known as a pain au chocolat. Again, very flakey, very buttery, the perfect touch of sweet chocolate. And a savory, massive scone. Bacon and chives, I think. Also very good. Crumbly. Overall, I was very surprised. There certainly wasn't anywhere like this in Pensacola when I lived here. This place is a quality bakery that could easily be found in a medium-sized city. I was so pleased and will definitely come back.

Cons: No real cons. I didn't have enough stomach space to try everything I wanted. Lol. Tips: The chocolate croissant and the creme filled thing we got were delicious. The scone was also good, but maybe less good than other things we left on the table. Need to come back here!

Cafe Single Fin: Great Concept, Average Plate…read more Cafe Single Fin is one of those places where the experience starts before you even find the restaurant. I drove around the block several times looking for it. Turns out, the restaurant is tucked inside a surf and skateboard shop. Once I finally figured that out, I walked in and immediately knew this wasn't going to be your average Pensacola lunch. The cafe is basically the centerpiece of the shop, surrounded by some seriously interesting vibes. I was greeted by scream-o music, which eventually segued into coffeehouse music and then some lighter indie stuff. Quite the musical journey. I half expected the playlist to ask me to pick a lane. What drew me in was the menu. Clean, interesting and exactly the kind of thing that makes you think, OK, these people might be onto something. I went with the blackened mahi tacos with rice and beans. And this is where things got a little less interesting. The food was fresh. The presentation was nice. Unfortunately, the flavor never really showed up for work. The mahi was supposed to be blackened, but I'm not convinced the blackening seasoning actually made it from the kitchen to the plate. The beans were also undercooked and under-seasoned. Nothing was bad, exactly. It just lacked the punch that the menu had promised. And that's the frustrating part. There is clearly a cool concept here, and the menu has enough personality to make you expect something memorable. The plate just didn't deliver the same energy as the room. Maybe I'm simply outside the target demographic. There seemed to be a pretty strong twenty-something surf/skate crowd, and perhaps I'm just not fluent in the culinary dialect of that demographic yet. Interesting place. Interesting concept. Interesting vibes. Friendly/helpful staff. Pretty average food.

When it's been a hard week at work, this is my go-to pick-me-up for coworkers. It gives total "wow factor" vibes when someone tries it for the first time. Bad doesn't even begin to describe this place. Want to see the dumbing down of America on full display...just come here to watch the employees in action. Ever wondered what food service looks like without management...again, have a look here. In a tale as old as time, order was misplaced, food was cold, and no shits by the staff (other than a piss poor attitude) were given. 20 minutes for cold egg bites and a toasted bagel (that wasn't toasted) with butter (not melted), all for only having 2 people order in front of me. Coffee urns are never changed out, and always empty and/or cold. The only this they're able to do consistently well is to turn the iPad around when paying and expect a tip! Save yourself the time, trouble and money...GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! There are too many good eating establishments in this town to continue supporting this miserable, pathetic excuse of an eatery. It used to be great, but has changed for the worse.

Exposed, real old brick that's from god knows when. Lots of copper old fashion coffee roasters. Bespoke bar. I dig the vibe and haven't even tried the patio yet. The Irish latte was delish. The whipped baileys cream on top delightful. My husband had the French 75 which was mildly citrus in such a pleasant way. Zero burn or bitterness for a straight black coffee beverage which impressed me! We had an omelette and the blueberry muffin. Omelette was tasty, fresh, hot and had ample cheese and ham. I liked the Dijon topped on. The muffin was really extra. It was large and it was covered in coffee cake sugar kind of crumble. Really big, generous serving of blueberries. It was super moist.
