Was in town and saw these next door to a Starbucks. It's been a while since I've had a cupcake, so why not. The store was cute and the staff was friendly. There were many cupcakes to choose from, Ice cream, frozen cakes and other items for sale. Looks like a great place to stop for any occasion. I purchased 4 cupcakes and paid $25. While pricey, I was hoping the taste made up for it. 3 of the 4 cupcakes were great. Not too sweet, great texture and the icing was heaven. The fourth was dense and just blah. Recently moved to Pensacola and for me, having a place to buy sweets is crucial so I was very happy to see that this spot is located very close to my apartment. Each visit I am greeted by friendly staff that are always inviting and offer to help with my choice of dessert. I have tried their homemade ice cream, their lemon bars, cookies, and of course their cupcakes. Out of everything my favorite has been the lemon bars. Their cupcakes (to me) were on the dry side but the flavors were good. Cookies and ice cream were okay also. Picking up my little plate, it was starting to bend due to the hefty cupcake. I got the carrot cake cupcake and it was tasty. No raisins ftw! She was waiting on customers and did not wash her hands or put on gloves. When it was my turn I asked her if she wore gloves and she put some on. I paid for my cupcakes by giving her the money in her hand. When she returned my change she laid it on the counter. I asked for a receipt and she laid it on the counter as well. They have a great variety to select from and it can be tough to try new flavors when you know the previous one was just amazing! I'm not exactly sure what the frosting was made of, because it had no flavor at all and had a peculiar mouth feel to it. The frosting on the wedding cake, birthday cake and the vanilla left a horrible after taste. The cake itself was dry.
