The convenience of them coming to our home was an added bonus; the price was also reasonable. Then about a month ago, my husband accidentally left the sun roof of the 4Runner open during a heavy rainstorm. Because we went on vacation and ignored the problem, mold grew in my son's SUV, and it smelled. Really bad. Even though AD wasn't available right away (it was New Years week), they still took the time to give me advice (by text) on what to do until they were back in town. Yeah, they do pull some gray business to save you money on insurance claims and they actually saved me about $1000 doing it. That said, the only two insurance companies they will work with to save you money on that level are USAA and Farmer's - because they pay up without trying to haggle on the back end. After rear-ending a very bad driver with my Saab in June of 2009, the aforementioned tow truck driver ran me down to Major Auto Body and I can tell you when I read these reviews I flipped the F out and micro-managed the crap out of the whole process. That proved to be wholly unnecessary. Joe over at Major took great care of my Saab. I got two new tires (my choice of brand), a new compressor, and a new front end for dramatically less than I expected to pay elsewhere. I have since recommended two friends to Major Auto Body and am bringing a third one down in about an hour to have her scraped door fixed for $300-$400 less than the "other guys" are quoting her around town. Oh and Yelp - if this positive review disappears, I'm taking screenshots. Please leave it in place.

Great place- great people- great service- great result- great pricing…read more I have a 2005 silverado and got in a bad accident leaving it sitting on 3 wheels with much body damage and originally took it to another place- got the bid/list of damages then faxed it to them to compare the cost of the job and gave me a wayyyyyyyy better price, saved me $$$$ (a few thousand) and did a great job! Truck runs and looks like it was brand new. As far as customer service goes- Great job guys and thanks for the friendly/great service... Not sure why there are any bad reviews for this auto body shop... These guys made me feel like family and took great care of me. One way they try to get our attention is by breaking in to our automobiles, as happened to me yesterday on Franklin and Geary at 4 in the afternoon. Bright sunlight, busiest street in the City, no deterrent to these folks. But the glass shop. I've called five so far. Good news: Ajay answered the phone. So-so news - he's closed, as are most shops. Bad news, he can't give me a quote today. Worse: he's certain the window that's broken is going to cost more than my $250 deductible. Which is strange because I already have a quote for $179 from US Auto and $165 from Glass Pro. So, although I haven't used this place yet, it's feeling like two stars to me so far. Hell, I'll yelp it just to get another "first"? so superficial of me.

I…read moreblindly took my car here recently because they are on State Farm's preferred list of shops. They did a very thorough job in their explanation of billing, estimated time of repair, warranty, etc. They estimated 10 business days and they finished on time - they called me the day before and told me the car would be ready by 4pm the next day. When I picked up my car, they again explained the insurance billing and warranty. They did great work on the car too! I hope to never have to repair my car again - but if I do I would definitely go back to Golden City. The whole process was as simple as can be.

He took it to Secureway Auto Glass to have the window fixed, but the guys didn't do a good job and the window couldn't close all the way. He found this place on Yelp that was approved by his insurance company, took his car in last week and got it back yesterday. He was AMAZED how perfect they made his car look. They even washed his car and replaced the broken door handle!! He's got an old Accord so parts are harder to get than the newer models, but somehow they managed to get the parts, fixed the window (and seals) and door handle, washed the car, AND painted his tires black (I don't know what it's called professionally). WHOA is all we can say.
