When craving a good fast food burger, my family insists on Smashburger. In n' Out is fine for quick drive thru-necessary situations--like when you don't feel like putting on make up or...slinging on a bra. But Smashburger checks all the boxes for us--tasty patties (beef or chicken), variety of add-ons and flavors, best hot dogs (all variations), and excellent sides. I sometimes have cravings for the standard cheeseburger, and days I want to bougie things up with a truffle mushroom burger, and when I want heat, the Colorado smash more than satisfies! My son is mad about their BBQ bacon smash burgers. They are really tasty. I've never dined inside so I can't say anything about ambience and such, but the employees are fantastic over the phone and quick to address an issue, cheerfully insisting on making good even if you think it unnecessary. We used to not frequent Smashburger because it was too pricy but two years ago, they revamped their menu introducing affordable selections. So we have a choice of sandwiches now that satisfies every craving, from standard to premium. We enjoy Shake Shack and Habit Burger but from where we live, they might as well be in Okinawa. Smashburger is my go-to when I want a quick, reliable burger, but I hadn't been to this location in over a year -- and wow, the menu definitely changed. Personally, I think they could've kept the simplicity and still been great. That said, I tried the Scorching Chicken this time and it was so good. Flavorful, cooked right, and exactly what I needed after a long morning. The associates were also super attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I also like that the food has that classic, slightly indulgent feel -- you know what you're getting and it hits every time. New menu or not, it's still a 10/10 for me. Was going through my big collection of gift cards and I found two for Smashburger that I never used. I've had these for so long that I don't even remember who gave them to me. I think the last time I was at Smashburger was maybe a decade ago, so it was definitely time to come back. I avoid beef most of the time but my LTP was in the mood for burgers, so I told him, hey, I got some gift cards for Smashburger and this obviously was a good excuse to use them. Parking was a little hard to find, but we found a good space right in front. There was almost nobody inside so we were helped out pretty quickly. I got myself a classic double burger and my LTP got the BBQ burger, both with fries on the side. We can't resist their delicious milkshakes made with real Haagen-Daz ice cream, so we respectively got chocolate and strawberry with whipped cream on top, respectively. I actually have a habit of drinking these before getting my food, which is a hard habit to kick. I went to go charge my phone when we got back home with the food and I forgot to take pictures of our burgers and fries. Whoops, haha. My classic double burger was amazing, but the bun filled me up so quickly that I had to save it for tomorrow's lunch. The BBQ burger had that smoky feel to it and had crushed onions inside. First time at smash burger. Nice little restaurant in the twin peaks shopping center. We ordered at the counter, I got a classic double and my sister got a single. We're sharing a small smash fries. the burger was delicious and loaded with romaine lettuce and tomatoes. The fires were shoe string with a garlic oil. Full disclosure, I'm giving this place four stars as they did a makeover on my order. Order. The first order. Everything was cold. Cold. The fries were not crispy at all and soggy and it took way too long with no one in the restaurant for me to get my order. I easily waited 15 minutes or more when there was only two tables in the restaurant. The staff seem confused, and really didn't know what to do. I got my food and brought it back to my house which is only 5 minutes away.. literally only 5 minutes away. First thing I noticed when I opened up the brisket burger was that the buns were literally cold. I took a bite and was shocked to find out that the meat inside was lukewarm at best. The fries which I asked for extra crispy were cold and soggy. Like they had been left out somewhere for a while before I even got them. I called the store and told them my complaints with the food, and apparently they talked to a manager and I was able to get a redo. The next time I came back in. I was on the phone for easily 10 minutes or more. Waiting for someone to get back to me. When they did get back to me they seemed confused at how to handle the situation. Side note for managers: please teach your employees how to be on the phone with customers. I went back into the restaurant 5 days later, and had them redo the order which was comped. I took the food, drove it back home and was excited to find that it was exactly how it should have been. The first time I ordered. The brisket Burger was hot and tasty, and the fries were cooked to perfection. So the big question is would I go back there again? At this point I'm not sure. It's a 50/50 shot. I get the people make mistakes, and I get the places can be busy, but the first time I went this place was neither. The second round of food was great and the service was good, but I am not sure I trust this place to go back again or recommend it. My three stars is definitely for the second order, it would have been four or five had my first experience been better than what it was. I appreciate the courtesy and kindness the staff showed me when I came in to get the reorder. If I decide to come back, I will definitely do an update on this review. read more

Michelle was so kind to support a do over visit from a few weeks back. My son was a bit nervous but I convinced him it would get to experience the restaurant. We arrived, again parked up front. Planned the order and gave it to the counter assistant. We shared our email from Michelle for 2 free meals and he was nice about composing the meals. I have never had smashburger before....or maybe once a very long time ago in another city....maybe. We went when it was not busy at all, it was the beginning of the lunch time frame. We didn't intend to go to Smashburger but the place we wanted to go to was closed. This location is probably usually busy, and it started to pick up after we got our food. A lot of to go orders and what seemed like one guy working the front and whoever else in the back. He was friendly. I was not mad about it, the food was good! The burgers, the fries. the shakes...no one was upset about their meals. Their soda fountain machine wasn't working, but they had bottled drinks for sale at the register or 3 tea/lemonade dispensers. Overall, the food was fine but not crazy flavorful. I got the Nashville hot tots, which were crispy but not spicy at all. The burger was average in taste but it was nice to have a bun that didn't disintegrate. As for the service, the gentleman that took my order was very friendly and helpful. WTH has happened to Smashburger?? Hubby and I shared a large order of the Smashfries, as we have for years. We didn't eat half of them. Hubby found the amount of rosemary to be overwhelming. We both found the fries to be too oily. A million miles from the Smashfries that were served when this place initially opened. Such a shame. Hubby ordered the same Smashburger he always gets and was not happy. The toppings were not added with care. There were four pickle slices stacked on top of each other!! instead of spread over the top of the burger. The stack of four pickle slices was thicker than the burger itself! I ordered a fountain drink, intending to get iced tea as I always have. (I don't like fountain soda drinks.) When I took my reusable (?? I have no idea why I wasn't given a disposable paper cup) cup to the drink station, I noticed that there was no iced tea. The manager (? young lady) said that the tanks needed to be cleaned, so she removed them. Good for her but shouldn't that be done either before opening or after closing? I asked for my money back, which she gladly provided. I really disliked my sandwich but that was my fault for not ordering my tried and true grilled chicken sandwich. I was craving a crispy fried chicken sandwich so decided to try theirs. It was two chicken tenders on a bun -- very hard to eat as each tender wanted to leave the sandwich with every bite. Stupid idea if you ask me. It's been owned by Jollibee since 2018, I guess. I've never been to a Jollibee although there is one "down the street" from Smashburger. This always happens. Four out of five of the burgers that we purchased were really good. The fifth one had bacon that was undercooked, and it generally didn't taste as good as the others. The customer service was good. The woman who took our order and served us was polite and very apologetic as well. Reasoning being is because the service time was extremely slow. I witnessed numerous customers complaining that their food was taking too long. Also some complained about their order being incorrect. The server apologized to me and three different other people for the incorrect orders and/or long wait time. In all honesty it was a bit annoying having to wait such an extensive period of time for a seemingly simple order. But I didn't make a fuss of it in the slightest. Because I actually felt a bit sorry for her because she seemed a bit overwhelmed. I'm no business guru/expert but based on what I saw it looks like they could definitely stand to hire an extra employee or two. It would lighten the load of the one hard working server. And make the experience more enjoyable for the customers. To meet that sounds like a win-win scenario. But what do I know?.... I'm just a burger loving customer. read more

Went here with my teen son and my visiting niece, she likes this place back home because of the gluten-free options. The cashier was very friendly and explained that she also had to cook the food because they were shortstaffed at the moment. The dining area only had four other customers besides us. If you order through Yelp ur order will be delayed by half an hour before they even receive the order to start making it - even though it says that ur order is received and they started making it. So if you're hungry now, either used the app or call it in. I ordered the double all smash burger with fries - came out to $17. Lotsa fries but the burger was on the small side. It's a hefty price for smash burgers which is probably a 2 oz ball of hamburger smashed. Since I was in a rush the cashier was helpful in starting the order by looking at my phone. Which took another 5 minutes to make - I was a little disappointed that she didn't bring it out to my car right in front when it was done - which would had made a much better review. The restaurant inside had a lot of kids coloring pages which pushed the family environment- that's awesome. Gave this location another chance after my botched takeout order about 3 months ago. This time I ate in the restaurant and had no issues other than waiting a while to order, likely because of short staffing. I had the brisket burger with a side of tots, and it all came out piping hot and fresh. The brisket burger was so good, and with just the right amount of sauce too! This hidden gem is super underrated because it's considered a fast food place. I went there recently and got the mushroom Swiss burger with tots and my husband got the classic smash burger with sweet potato fries. We also shared a peanut butter shake. I stopped here on my way home from work. I had never been here before and wanted to try it. The kid behind the counter was very friendly and helped with my to go order. I guess I left my credit card on the counter or in the machine. I realized this after a notification for a second smashburger charge appeared on my phone an hour later. When I saw the charge I immediately called the restaurant and the same kid said no one used my card and my credit card was in the safe I could pick it up tomorrow. I asked again why they put a second charge on my card an hour after I left and he hung up on me.
