French fries that should have been rejected. this is what they call an order.
21st Century Home I.

The burger was supposed to be cooked well-done and was medium at best. The french fries looked like something that they would reject. First time here, last time here.

Gave Steak 'n Shake a go when strolling in South Point. It was ok. The staff was awesome but all my food came out cold. Went with the fresh strawberry shake and that was good. The had seasoning at the table and enhanced the flavor of the burger. Don't think I'd ever return here.

The Original Double 'n Cheese Steakburger, with Cheddar and Grilled onions
Bryan S.

I was pleasantly surprised after trying Steak n Shake for the first time. I ordered the Original Double 'n Cheese Steakburger, but opted for cheddar cheese and grilled onions. It was very good, honestly slightly better than in n out in my opinion... (controversial I know). At the very least, it's a nice variety of flavor that puts it in contention. My only complaint is that they are unable to offer the burger as medium or medium rare and will only do "well done". Regardless, I still enjoyed it. Also nice to know that they use beef tallow for the fries now, so I was told. Didn't realize they were a sit down & order establishment, so that was nice. I do wish they offered a Neapolitan milkshake though.

$5.99 Combo - Single Steakburger, Beef Tallow Fries, Small Drink
Allen L.

Ask for the $5.99 Combo! It comes with a single steak burger, beef tallow fries and a small drink. An incredible deal! I've always loved DTLV for its cheap deals but in recents years it hasn't been the case anymore. Even though Steak 'n Shake is a newer establishment inside the Fremont Casinos new food hall they always offer the $5.99 Special Combo! If you order all this a la carte, it will be considerably more pricey which I've seen so many people making the mistake of doing. Even ordering just a single steak burger will cost more than the special combo. Five stars simply for this incredible deal in today's economy. Also, their fries are fried in beef tallow which reminds me of the old McDonalds fries that use to be much better when they use to be fried in beef tallow. Again, just ask for the $5.99 special combo!

We are always on the lookout for a Steak n Shake. The portions were small but the fresco melt and the prime burger that we ordered were as expected. The milkshakes are, as always, perfect. We arrived to Vegas late and this hit the spot. Service was good, the restaurant was clean and the ambiance was as expected.

Burger joint inside South Point Hotel & Casino [Las Vegas NV] By the time we arrived and got settled in our hotel it was already getting late -- wait, what was I thinking... we were in Vegas so at around 10:30p we made our way across the street at Steak 'n Shake inside South Point Hotel, Casino. Despite the restaurant being busy we were able to get seated right away. Inside was a spacious 50's-style diner. It was a noisy atmosphere... very much a Friday night. We shared a Grilled Portobello 'n Swiss Steakburger... we mentioned to our server that we would split it between me and the hubby. It was served to us already cut in half with a plateful of fries each. Awesome and thanks! Everything was delicious and portion was just right for my appetite that evening. Customer service was excellent! Review #3711

Chili Mac and The Original Double 'n Cheese Steakburger

We were seated and no one came over to take our order for 20min. Other tables around us had put their order in. I went to the manager, and she sent someone over to our table. Meanwhile, the other tables got their order. Our order was placed and our server decided to go help other tables. 10min after we placed the order, he brought our drinks. Someone eventually came with the food. Not our server. Awful experience. Next time take out.

Still the same as my review back in 2018: I love eating here every time I come to South Point! It's not as expensive as Shake Shack and a meal here is not as small and In and Out. You seem to get what you pay for here! I love their variety of shakes and burgers! My favorite is the Mushroom and Swiss burger meal. Their malt shakes are so good to get so try them all! Update*: The Steak n Shake food spots near where I lived closed down, and now this was the only one when I go to Vegas that I have to drop by to! I missed it very much! The choices have limited for a bit, but I still love coming here! Mushroom N' Swiss still hits!

I grew up with Steak n Shake and this is the best one left! Everything tasted like it did 20 years ago....authentic and nostalgic... The chili was so good! The best smash burger with a thick slice of onion and long half sliced pickles! I also loved the mushroom burger as well! The sweet tea tasted just like the fresh brewed kind I had in Mississippi. My half and half strawberry vanilla shake is the best and just as I remembered! Thick and creamy! The service was great here and he even gave me a refill on my sweet tea to go! I love this location so much!

Lots of shakes to choose from.

This 50s style burger joint is located inside the South Point Hotel. The service is efficient, the bright lights reveal that this restaurant is extremely clean, the prices are very reasonable, they're open late, and they have a Happy Hour of half priced shakes & drinks Sunday-Thursday from 2-5. They have a dedicated window with plentiful bench seating for take out orders. On my last visit I had the Original Double N Cheese Steakburger. It came with shoestring fries and was only $8.45! I requested lettuce wrap and they were happy to oblige. The burger comes with mayo, mustard, ketchup, sliced pickles, tomatoes, onion, and lettuce. My dining companion ordered a triple cheeseburger plain and dry and it arrived as ordered. We ordered a cup of chili topped with cheese & onions to split and agreed it was a good chili. Rich and meaty. Not as good as homemade, but nothing is, right? My dining companion ordered a chocolate covered strawberry shake and said it was the best shake he's ever had! Each table had a condiment caddy with ketchup, mustard, their special seasoned salt, and so forth. This is always a solid spot to visit.

Bbq bacon burger

Food - very reasonable. The bbq bacon burger and fresh strawberry shake was roughly $18. They both hit the spot and the shoe string fries were great. Especially if you add the seasoning to the fries. The shake was so thick so had to eat with a spoon for awhile but that was no detour. Service - Judith was great. On top of things and very pleasant. Ambiance - so bright and welcoming. The booths are a little tight and you will sit upright.

We are having a B Day Celebration for M today... So part of that was to head to the South Point Casino. Parking was easy enough in the structure, perfect for keeping the car out of the sun for the day. We started at the slots, winning just enough to keep us there until the money ran out. The "show" featuring an Abba cover band was nearly sold out, no seats together so pass on that. The Century Cinemas are here and we purchased tickets for a movie but thought we'd eat dinner first. We didn't leave much time to eat and S & S is at the bottom of the escalator which made our tight timing seem doable. We were Seated immediately in a nice booth, it gave me the memory of Johnny Rockets Burgers place. I'm not sure if they still exist Anyways... We were Greeted immediately and handed the basic burger menu choices were somewhat limited. What really surprised me was the cutlery wrap was with a cloth napkin. WoW! The burgers shared the menu with a couple of salads, a hot dog, some chicken tenders, you get the idea. M ordered the patty melt with fries, I ordered a cheese burger. The burger patties were oversized so they stuck out from the bun to look better? It was a pretty burger, the bun was a bit smaller in order to show off the "larger" patty and cheese, tomato and lettuce showed too. Now I would have preferred a thicker patty, it tends to be more cooked medium and usually juicier, and more flavorful. Fries accompanied the burger but served on a separate plate, matchstick fries. My daughter loves these little guys, I find them flavorless. I also ordered a small side of Onion Rings, these were your standard thicker cut, get 'em anywhere breaded rings. They would not sub onion rings for fries even if you paid the difference...fine. Food was out timely but I felt that order sat in the pick up window as my burger, fries, onion rings were just warm. Now all this sounds harsh but it is what it is, a burger place in a good location, fair prices, and ordinary food served. We were in and out quick enough to watch 15 minutes of previews and enjoy the movie. What was the movie? looking for review? is that a Yelp category? thanks foodguy- Martin

Funny there's Steak 'n Shake here in Vegas. My husband and I enjoyed Steak 'n Shake back when we were living in Indianapolis so wanted to check it out here. We got the mushroom burger, standard burger, chili and Oreo shake. The Oreo shake was thick and kind of sweet but yummy. It was the highlight of my meal. The mushroom burger was kind of greasy. The fries were skinny and crispy. Anyway very nostalgic but not too delicious!

I got the order Togo and then sat at the Starbucks for dining.

This review is based solely on the burger Wow! Just, wow…read more I have been to many, MANY places to get a good burger, but this may be one of the absolute best burgers I've had. When you go out, most places - not all, but most - you need to say medium rare if you want medium, rare if you want medium rare, and... well, that's about it, because if you order anything from medium well to well done than you just shouldn't be eating burgers. But this place, I asked for medium rare, feeling like a medium that day, and it came out the most perfect rare I have ever had! The char on the outside of this obviously hand made patty, while still being heated through all the delicious pink inside! Oh man! I don't think I need to say much more. The wife had the chicken strips and fries, which she said were "perfectly portioned at three strips." Service was as good as any place should be. And prices weren't bad at all.

I especially loved the salmon, which was cooked beautifully, and the brown rice was surprisingly so flavorful. Paired with the avocado, it made for such a satisfying combination. My toddler's favorite was the fettuccine alfredo--she couldn't get enough of it! One of the highlights of our visit was meeting the chef-owner. He was incredibly kind, and you can truly tell how much care and love he puts into his food. That passion comes through in every dish, making the whole experience feel thoughtful and genuine. Whether you're meeting up with friends, enjoying a family meal, or simply looking for a delicious local spot, I highly recommend Salt & Spoon. We'll definitely be back!

An Incredible Hidden Gem on Silverado Ranch!…read more If you're on the hunt for a standout culinary destination in Las Vegas, look no further than **Rustic House** on Silverado Ranch. I stumbled upon this gem during a lazy Sunday afternoon, and from the moment I walked in, I was captivated by its inviting atmosphere and unique charm. Daily Specials & The Legendary Sunday Steaks One of the standout features of Rustic House is their impressive lineup of daily specials that cover both drinks and food, ensuring there's always an enticing reason to visit any day of the week. However, my Sunday experience was particularly remarkable due to one of their most talked-about offerings: **50% off steaks**! I couldn't resist trying their gigantic **16 oz NY Strip** (served à la carte), which the friendly staff highly recommended. To accompany my steak, I decided on two delectable sides: crispy **fries** and perfectly cooked **asparagus**. My total for this hearty meal came out to just $46 before tip, which I found to be exceptional. Sure, there are cheaper cuts around town, but considering the generous portion size and the quality of the sides, it felt like an unbeatable deal. he Food & The Verdict Now, let's talk about the food. The NY Strip was nothing short of magnificent--cooked to an ideal medium-rare with a beautifully seared crust, it was seasoned but effectively, allowing the natural flavors of the beef to shine. Each bite was tender and juicy, making it clear that this steak was sourced with care and skillfully prepared. The chili sauce I decided to have on the side was a nice touch, but I would rather dip it than have it on my steak, in my personal opinion. The sides did not disappoint either! The fries were golden and crispy, seasoned just right, while the asparagus was fresh and vibrant, adding a perfect touch of brightness to the meal. The ambiance of Rustic House enhanced the experience; the decor exuded a rustic charm while still feeling modern and comfortable. This place completely blew me away, and I'm already eagerly planning my next visit, this time accompanied by a friend so we can dive into their steak and lobster special together. Rustic House has certainly earned a spot on my go-to list for great food and incredible value. If you're looking to treat yourself to an unforgettable dining experience, do yourself a favor and check out Rustic House! Five stars all the way!

So, I kinda HAD to drive 4 hours to try it that weekend. I'm a crispy/chewy edges fan, and this slice had a good edge that gave me that nice crunch without the bottom being crispy as well. Super long cheese-pull on the slice and fantastic flavor. Sauce wasn't too zesty or bland. It had just enough flavor to enhance the pizza without you focusing on it. The smashburger was decent, but the bun was the star. Soft and chewy, it didn't feel dry or flaky like a fast food burger. It was buttery and warm and the sauce was making all my tastebuds go crazy. A little sweet, a little savory, a little creamy all in one. If they sold it by the bottle, it would probably be your favorite burger dressing. The fries and the chicken tender were average. Good, filling and fresh, but nothing to write home about. The burgers and pizza slices are the main attraction. Got to meet the owners mother. Super sweet woman and you could tell she is SO proud of her son and how popular his restaurant is. She was working the register, giving orders to the crew and cleaning up all at the same time.
