The Smashtots were tasty, crisy, and good portioned. The Classic Smash burger could have been better. The patty was overcooked and too charred to eat. I'd give them zero stars if I could. I finished my bodybuilding competition and went in for a burger before finals. Even being depleted of fats, this burger was complete trash. DRYYY!!! And tasted awful! I asked for my toppings and 2 patty burger with no cheese. I got back to my hotel and they didn't give me any toppings. I should've known to check the container a second time (shame on me) they didn't give me all my toppings and I realized the second time they never gave me my second patty!! It had been a long time since we had Smashburger but it will be our last. We ordered a bbq smashburger with the crispy onions and ended up getting a few straws of onion and a very salty burger. We also ordered a double BBQ bacon Smash as well as Smash fries. Same result. We couldn't eat this disaster. We also had strawberry shakes which they pulled out of the freezer premade. I've always liked Smash Burger, used to visit the one in Lafayette, but now that there is one in Louisville, that's more convenient for me. My husband and son go there regularly and I'll join them from time to time. The staff is friendly and the food consistently good. I love the sweet potato fries, and the smashfries are also delicious. Today I wanted to be a little more healthy and I tried the veggie frites, well forget healthy and eat them with chipotle dressing, delicious! (although I'd still like the frites less greasy). Since I like mushrooms, the truffle mushroom swiss is perfect for me, but I also find the classic mash very satisfying. The spicy jalapeno baja is good but could be a little more generous on the guacamole (I have the feeling they used to put more guac in the past.) Good place for lunch when craving a burger. read more

I have celiac and they totally took care of me. The front desk guy made sure everything was prepared separately and they changed out their gloves. For someone with a health condition they were very sweet to make sure I was taken care of. Very celiac freely and I never got sick. Huge plus for someone new to my health journey. Place online order on 4/3/23 at 6:54pm for over $100.00. All 5 children's orders were missing their fries. Returned over 2 miles for the missing fries only to be told that it was impossible to have missed the 5 orders of fries. Basically calling me a liar. The manager just turned and walked away. We've really tried to like Smashburger, but we keep it running into problems/issues when we go there. Went to one in Westminster a little while ago and the menu wasn't working - the workers didn't offer any help and we had to just look it up online ourselves. Recently went to the Louisville one and encountered these issues: * A lone worker at the register for the dinner rush, who seemed overworked and clearly did not have the support she needed * There was a 25min wait for food * We ordered the double bacon smash burger. This burger is supposed to have two layers of cheese and bacon. It only had one. * The burger patties were burnt. Like really bad. * We ordered the special "smash fries." We received regular fries Giving three stars because the burger itself, despite the issues, was still pretty good, but I don't think we'll be returning any time soon given the repeat issues we keep encountering. read more

I've actually never left a yelp review but here is my first. I ordered through the app and once arriving the food was already 10 mins late..not a big deal right? Well we realized that they forgot the smash tots we ordered as we were about to pull off so we turned around. We tried the haystacks we had before that and they were awful. The restaurant switched them for smash fries, which is nice...but they were cold. They then gave us the tots except they were regular tots instead of the smash tots we ordered. I always really liked Smashburger though the Boulder location has never been a longtime reliable experience. I like Longmont but was never regularly there. So today, while in Louisville, I tried that location. First off, they had such a nice, friendly helpful staff member at the counter and the store was really clean. Off to a good start. Unfortunately their menu has been totally revamped in April after the chain, Denver born, passed to new owner from overseas who appears to be adding American chains to their portfolio. And they have done away with all of the localized signature burgers. That's right, the Colorado burger is gone. Fewer choices I was informed to make a uniform menu across this country and others as they expand. They did save some of its signature parts and blended with other options from the old menu. So the chipotle bun, the sauce, and the pepper jack part of the cheese selection (no more cheddar slice too) are now served with the salad parts and meat plus they added a layer of crushed avocado. There appears to be a change in the signature patty too. The beef seems about the same grade but more ground than chopped in prep. And it still flattened on the range. BUT this one had no more crispy edge to contrast to the juicy interior. Maybe this cook's prep or maybe simpler faster squash it down to look smashed and get it on the bun. So I will have to try again or another location to determine that part. If it's changed it's just another burger, but with an irregularly shaped edge. Not the unique style that it was founded on but a quite edible meal. I wasn't hungry enough that day to give the new fries a try either, so "next time." read more

Smash Burger has an awesome black bean burger for us plant-based eaters! It's a decent alternative to meat burger. You can add a number of toppings including grilled onions, avocado, tomatoes, etc... their fries are also decent, especially their Smash Fries. I would definitely recommend their black bean burgers. read more

My kids and I have been a couple times in the past month and both times I was surprised at how dirty the place felt. They have an open window to the kitchen and you can see cell phone usage by the cook staff, cell phones were laying on the front "prep" counter and next to the register and the employees were on them constantly. Today a giant hair laid across my order of French fries. I looked into the kitchen and one of the cooks had the exactly same length hair - neither of them had hair nets on. Very disappointed with this establishment. I asked to speak to the manager as there was a mixup in regards to a coupon I was trying to use, and he did not understand anything I was trying to tell him. He said my coupon was not valid when it clearly said it was. Additionally I ordered two turkey avocado burgers and when I came home I was disappointed to see that what I got was not what I ordered. One of the burgers I got had two patties and cheese which is nowhere near close to my order.
