This is usually our go to Smash Burger since we live right down the street from here so we eat at this location all the time and this is my first review. I can't give it the 5 stars that it use to be so I'm assuming they've changed cooks or something. The quality of my mushroom burger has started to decline and is on life support. The meat patty has been really dry and this time it was way over seasoned and the Smash fries came warm not hot i don't know what to make of my dine in experience but the location is clean. I'm just seriously considering going to another location however since there's one other location near us. read more

We have eaten here a few times, and also get orders to go. Today, I had the Smash Cheese burger deluxe, and my husband had a Bacon Smash burger. Both were very good and we especially like their Rosemary tots!! We will definitely keep this as our Go To Burger joint!! read more

Smashburger saved the day for my son's birthday party after In n Out refused to accept a large order ahead of time. They accepted a late catering order and it was perfect. Everyone loved the burgers, toppings, and chicken strips. Will definitely use them again. James in particular went above and beyond to make it an easy experience. read more

i had an appointment in the area, and was really hungry, so i came in for a quick lunch. i ordered the kids hamburger, with tots. i wasn't expecting it to be around $8 for a plain hamburger, but it was actually very delicious with absolutely nothing on the burger. the bread was warm, pillowy soft with a slight chew- absolutely amazing!!! the burger patty seasoned perfectly, and nicely flat top grilled!! the tots nice and super hot, salty and very crunchy!! meal was absolutely delicious!! i got the infused orange drink; it had tumeric, and i think ginger in it- delicious!!! great fast service, and clean restaurant!!! definitely will be back to other locations as well!!! yummmmm read more

I had been a regular at this location however my experience with them today is beyond the pale. My Smashburger took 14 min to come then they noticed that my onion rings were missing. Took another 7 min and when I got home both were cold cold and the order of onion rings only brought 4 onion rings no larger than a quarter.25cent coin. Buyer beware and remember they remind you that they expect a tip when you pay for take out!!! Stay away from this place. read more

It took 15 minutes to get 2 hamburgers. My fry set on the counter the whole time while I was waiting for my hamburgers. There was only one order ahead. Fries were very cold. I would never return again. read more

I had the best burger I've had in a very very very long time. I'm pretty sure I'm going to crave it by tomorrow. My daughter and I both ordered the bacon smash burger. She got hers with smash sauce in lieu of mayo along with regular fires. She said her was delicious. But wait...I ordered the same burger as it comes but added a haystack. OMG it was so delicious that I ate the entire thing! Don't walk there...run! I also added the smash fries and they were delicious too. They didn't need any dipping sauce. I feel like ketchup would've ruined them. I don't know why there are some low reviews on here but please ignore them and try this place for yourself. We will order again! read more

the place is filthy - bathrooms, all of it - disgusting- ketchup dispenser barely had any ketchup and was dirty. I won't go back. Plenty of employees but noone was wiping tables or cleaning up anything! read more

Went there to dine in and noticed a sign saying one of the fryers were out of service. Knowing we would be waiting for a little extra time wasn't a problem for me. The biggest problems I had was how management and staff handled the situation. They lost our order somehow and when we brought it to their attention they brought out one burger and nothing else for our party of 3. I kindly went up to rectify the situation. It took going up front 3 times and waiting for the manager then demanding to see the manager with all 3 of us at the front before any real change happened. After 1 and 1/2 hours later we finally got the rest of our order in pieces. Not only did the manger hide and not come resolve the issue until all 3 of us were at the front but she really was abandoning her front staff during the whole situation. It's a shame because the food was good. I did make sure they brought us hot food, because the front girl filling the orders had food sitting in the window that was cold and unorganized. I won't be back there again. read more

want to say what a great improvement there has been at this location. I have been going there since it opened and for a while the management was poor. The staff were not friendly. The food wasn't great. I'm not sure who is the new management now but they have made tremendous strides in turning the store around. The staff is always friendly. The store is always clean and the food is excellent. Hats off to the management and staff. read more

Every smash burger I've ate at has been great. Mesa by Winco food's is a awesome Smashburger location, just smelling it outside makes me want to go eat there! And the one in Gilbert next to Jersey Mike's Subs is good as well. Unfortunately not all chain restaurants are created equal... Go there, eat, it's wonderful! Great staff , clean place! read more

I have been in the Phoenix area for 10 months and have been looking for my favorite burger, my favorite pizza, etc. I finally tried Smashburger and so far they win ( in the fast food burger category at least.) I tried both the classic beef burger and the turkey burger, and the mushroom Swiss beef burger. I love the turkey burger best cuz it is a little lighter and less of a brick in my belly. Love the thinner well seasoned well seared patties. Love the choice of buns ( I like brioche) and love adding a haystack onion topper. They have so many delicious choices.....AND they make dairy-free shakes! I will write back once I have tried them. Still looking for the best full-service restaurant burger....suggestions? read more

I've spent the last few years accepting that lays potato chips are 80% air, but apparently smashburger was inspired by their method, because wtf is this? I come in, spend money on your overpriced food, but the food is good so we pay.. and can't even get a full ranch cup? Not even a half full ranch cup? Are you guys this short on money that it can only give out enough ranch per cup for 2 French fries? I feel like you guys wasted more money on giving out 5 cups than you would have filling up 3 cups with ranch and just giving me that. Ordered takeout/delivery, one meal was a kids meal with a chocolate milk. The order arrived and no chocolate milk with the kids meal. I called and they apologized and said I could come pick it up...I ordered delivery for a reason. They said I could just tell them next time I order I didn't get the milk. Try explaining that to an angry disappointed 5 year old. No desire to revisit or order again. read more

The food at Smash is always good. I would qualify it as high end fast food. The toppings are always fresh, I love how you can customize your order online and they are usually very fast. The young man who works the front of the house at the Powers and McKellips location in Mesa is excellent. Friendly, polite, solicitous... he did a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to go to that location again due to his great service. read more

We have loved smash burger in the past. There used to be a line of people. However, it has been going downhill for about 3 years. Here are the main issues: 1. Customer service is lacking. At our recent visit, the cashier did not smile at us as she took our order at all. The energy is very dull in there. She honestly seemed annoyed we had a gift certificate. She didn't know how to scan or enter the code. She had to get the GM. His people skills weren't anything amazing. 2. The hamburgers are smaller. The shakes are smaller. The prices are higher. This is not worth it. Food quality is down 1/3. 3. The location was under construction. It was really weird to be in there. read more

Burgers here are good - cooked after you order them and delivered hot and fresh. The ingredients are likewise fresh -- get the Arizona burger ... It has fresh jalapeño slices on it. Also good are the salads -- spinach and goat cheese with balsamic is excellent... Add a chicken breast for some extra protein. I find the black bean 'veggie' burger to be tasty but a little dry and difficult to eat: it falls apart before you can get it into your face. You can get any burger 'big' if you want it a little bigger. read more

Let's give Smashburger a try! The employees were very polite and greeted us as we entered. We each had the double smash with fries. It took no time to get to our table even though we were there during lunch time. The burger was very good, very tasty. The fries however were hot but taste just ho-hum (Think McDonald's). read more

Meh. Just okay. I used to looooove Smashburger. All time fav was the bbq bacon cheddar burger with sweet fries. I haven't been in YEARS and the family wanted Smashburger tonight, so we decided on it for dinner. I got my old favorite, and it just felt as though there were smaller portions and there just wasn't as much flavor. I definitely remember this food being more flavorful in the past. This experience was just okay. Not amazing, but not terrible. read more

Smash burger always has great options, but what I like the most are there portions. You can eat a nice burger and not feel like you've eaten too much. Smash tots are always my favorite. Very close to Salt river tubbing so this is a good place to stop after. read more

We ordered and paid online for a pickup order at the Smashburger website which was quick and easy. We drove right over and our order was ready when I walked in. The store had many safety measures in place and I felt comfortable going in to retrieve our order. The young lady behind the counter was friendly and addressed me immediately and promptly handed over our bag of goodies with her gloves and mask on. Upon opening our bags, I found 2 fresh and hot burgers with perfect toppings (we asked for extra extra pickles and they provided!) and fresh and hot fries. This was such a nice treat considering we've stopped eating out because of covid. I would recommend Smashburger for their easy online ordering, quick and safe pick up options and fresh, delicious burgers and fries. Thank you!!! read more

I don't know what is wrong with this location but they can't seem to get my order right. I have been here 3 times and each time my order was totally messed up. The manager is always quick to make things right (which is why I have them 2 stars instead of 1) but it's really inconvenient to get home just to realize you have to go back and get your order sorted out. read more

Smash burger doesn't disappoint me. Burgers are always on point. I just found out today that there's this spot. I don't have to drive all the way to Tempe. This spot is only 2+ miles away from me. This is one of my cheat meal spot. Wifey and kids loves it. Over all experience was great. Everyone is helpful. read more

What a nice treat to go for a burger and fries at lunch and actually get hot, fresh, flavorful food. Not an overkill overpriced clogger meal. It was just right. Excellent service. This is the best classic cheese burger I've had in a long time. All the toppings were fresh and flavorful, not an afterthought. The bun was fresh and toasted! The Rosemary ffries were excellent, hot and full of flavor. The patio is spacious and clean. Someone is doing a great job of managing this location. Thank you! read more

I've driven by it for years. No idea it was there. I've stopped at the chain in the parking lot…read moremany times. This will be my last burger place for the foreseeable future. It's big, it's all fresh ingredients and condiments. The fries are the old school cooked in tallow type. Crunchy hard and fluffy inside. If you had a burger in the 60's and 70's, you'll remember this. Why is it that things that are easy to do are no longer done well.

Usually I either cook my meals or make a quick panino or salad, but sometimes I just need a Chow…read moreMein to satisfy my hunger :) Panda Express is, of course, quick food that hits the spot same as a cheeseburger does at other times, but this is our local Panda and so far has been consistent in the food it offers. Due to my severe allergy to chilis I haven't tried any of the spicy dishes, even though they look pretty inviting. My go to besides the noodles are the Wonton Soup, the Egg and Spring rolls, and most times the Orange Chicken. Oh, and the Crab Rangoon: crispy and creamy! I 've had the Broccoli beef several times, since I love green veggies, and the beef is flavorful and sliced nicely thin. Then there's the Walnut Shrimp that catches my eye every time I order but still haven't tried it at Panda's. Maybe next time I'll get those too and share the dish. Service is behind the counter so you place your order and wait to be called, but the people plating the orders are polite and smiling; as it's a fast food restaurant there are tables too but I see more takeout orders than sitting down to eat. Probably depends on the day of the week too. When going in to order the restaurant appears clean, the tables get bussed frequently and the food in the hot trays is refilled as soon as the level drops down. I would like to see some desserts or maybe Moon cakes during festivals, but honestly probably couldn't fit in another bite .... These last times the food was delivered but I'll add pictures when I go order in person.
