Dr. Shen is the best dentist I have ever been treated by. I am having her perform corrective surgery to repair implants that were improperly placed by a dentist named Michael Schuman who really made a mess of my mouth. She has spent numerous hours discussing the science of implants providing answers that are easy to understand with a clear explanation of what would need to be done to correct the problems with the implants. Her expertise is apparent in the methods she practices in oral surgery and the equipment is state of the art with excellent attention to cleanliness and comfort during the numerous procedures I am undergoing. Post surgical instructions are clear with attention to prevention of post surgical infection and there is always a follow up phone call to check on how I am feeling. The staff supporting Dr. Shen are wonderful, caring, competent professionals who are friendly and compassionate. Dr. Shen has made time to see me for dental emergencies to extract some broken teeth. She performed the extractions with a bone graft as she kept her focus on not only the extraction but also what needed to be done now to prepare for future restoration to have the best chance to be successful when the time came. Very friendly environment, use of uptodate technology, appointments keeping in view patients needs, availability of flexible hours, well maintained clean clinic and availability of the experienced staff. We first found Dr Shen on a Saturday morning in early August, right before leaving on a trip - moving kids back to college out of the area - one who had a massive toothache and swelling. i got my first root canal done last week due to a bad filling, i was so nervous since it was my first root canal but thanks to Dr Wei and Laila the assistant i felt comfortable. The girls up front i believe their names are vicky and marivic explained all the financials with detail regarding my insurance and my out of pocket plus they are so fun to talk to. After Dr Wei was done with my root canal Dr Shen stepped in to explain the after care since Dr Wei and Laila had another patient to attend, Dr Shen was very detail on the after care and what i was expected to feel (soarness for about 5 days). I'm usually scared to see dentist or have any surgery done on my teeth. My anxiety and fear always get to me but Dr. Shen and the amazing staffs have completely changed my mind. Dr. Donian Shen was on my DeltaDentalUSA list and she had several 5 star reviews on Yelp so I made an appointment. First, there was a misunderstanding of who would do my appointment. I thought I made it with Dr Shen and that she would would be the dentist. When I protested because another dentist was going to do the procedures she reluctantly agreed. Secondly, she did X-rays and told me I had a large cavity between 2 crowned teeth and that both crowns would have to be removed and replaced. Few dentists take my policy but that didn't feel right so I never went back. Fast forward a year and the new dentist I finally went to found no evidence of any cavity. In 2010, I had dental cosmetic surgery with a dentist I had been with, who moved to Las Vegas. Unfortunately, he did very lousy job and as a result I had lot of problems and suffered because of the pain. Luckily, I found Dr. Shen on the Internet in 2013.
