It's the return of the Poshettes! Smile Dental is the sister location to Chandler's Posh Dental, where I rave on my faves. Now the good people of Mesa can enjoy the company of Dr Lee, and my personal favorite: Dawny, while getting their dental needs addressed. Currently, this location doesnt boast the massage chairs or paraffin wax that locked me as Posh's customer for life, but I'm sure they're working on getting something comparable for their customers. The care you'll receive here is top notch, with the latest in dental techniques. They care about their clients, and I've always been treated so kindly by the staff... almost like family. Really. Not a great experience. New to the area and needed a dentist. Found them through yelp, they have good ratings so I was hopeful. First time yelp has let me down. Wife went in for a cleaning, told her she had a cavity and needed a "deep cleaning." Never heard of a deep cleaning before but did a little internet research. Basically, the cleaning is behind the gums, takes a lot of time and effort but is a valid and regularly used procedure. Also noted in my research that dentists often recommend deep cleaning because it generates more income than the standard cleanings that come with most insurance. Prior to moving to the area, we had been seeing the same dentist for years and have never heard of a deep cleaning. Anyway, we figured maybe it will be alright, we've both had cavities in the past and are getting older, so not out of the realm of possibility my wife needed a deep cleaning. A few days later, it was my turn. Was examined by the dentist, told I had four cavities, needed a deep cleaning and also he recommended I get my last two wisdom teeth pulled out. Had two impacted and removed when I was 18. I asked why I would need my wisdom teeth pulled as I'm over 40 years old and they have never bothered me? He replied that they might bother me in the next 20 years and it's better to have them out now when it's easier for me to recover from surgery, than when I'm older. I decided to get a second opinion. Went to another dentist, paid out of pocket for an exam, x-rays and cleaning. Was told by that dentist that everything looked great. No cavities, no deep cleaning recommendation and definitely no wisdom teeth being pulled. You can draw your own conclusions but neither I nor my wife will be going back to Smile Dental Care. read more

So pleased we found Dr. Mike Lee and Smile Dental! It was a difficult decision to leave the dental practice we had been going to as a family for many, many years because they had a top notch hygienist.....but the dentists and office staff became a revolving door of unprofessionalism...and became not so gentle as their practice name had proclaimed. For those of you who are afraid of the dentist, be afraid no more! I was able to go in and have a wisdom tooth pulled and it took less than a minute and I am pain free. I called Smile for my roommate who refused to go to the dentist out of pure fear. Now this guy (my friend) had been through SO MUCH WORSE in his life but he could not bring himself to go to that scary dentist! Finally he agreed to go to Smile after reading the reviews. I took him in the first time. They made him feel SO COMFORTABLE that he was able to go on his own from there. He had a couple teeth extracted and a beautiful new bridge made. HE IS SMILING AGAIN!!!! I wish there was a way to give zero stars because that's definitely what this dentist deserves. I had two root canals done by Dr. Lee recently and the results were TERRIBLE. The crowns he put in my mouth didn't match my teeth AT ALL. He offered no viable solutions because he admitted I "still probably wouldn't be happy with how they look." The only option he DID offer was to pay him more money to cap my teeth and the surrounding teeth to match. I couldn't afford this, and he made no effort help me. I now have teeth that make me incredibly self conscious about my smile. How does this Dr. sleep at night? read more

The most friendly staff EVER!!! I had to switch from my long time dentist to smile dental care a few years ago due to change in insurance and I'm so happy I did. Dr lee is awesome. I've had dentists in the past try to sell me on a variety of things( whitening, straightening, etc). Dr lee never does that. He gets down to business and makes me feel great about my dental hygiene and teeth. The staff is my favorite. They can turn anyone's frown upside down. I have been coming to Smile Dental Care now for a few years. The staff is friendly, courteous and do thorough work. I'm usually in and out of my appointment in under an hour for routine cleanings and exams. Would highly recommend checking them out. They give you a patient goody bag to take home every visit. Also will give you a discount on your bill for any referrals you make. read more

Dr. Mike Lee is an outstanding dentist and all of his dental hygienists are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He has seen my three children multiple times and provided top notch care for each of them. My issue is with Kelli at the front desk. She is unprofessional and treated me extremely rudely when I asked about a referral program they offered. Each time I'm in the office, she is making personal phone calls, and seems to take the stresses of her personal life out on customers like myself. I referred a friend of mine who has had thousands of dollars worth of dental work in the past year, and Kelli rudely told me that I was not eligible for the referral program because my friend was not a new patient. I tried to explain, and she continued speaking to me in a rude manner. Dr. Lee was very professional and gracious and said no problem whatsoever, and that he would gladly apply the $50 credit to our account. I have been very pleased with the work of Dr. Lee and his hygienists, but because of the way I was treated today by Kelli, I may be looking for a new dental office. read more

Off the charts GREAT service! From the first phone call, to greeting at the door, to my experience with the staff and Dr. Lee once taken back. The dental office isn't exactly my favorite place so when I cracked my tooth I wasn't thrilled. I was recommended to come here from a friend, said it was nice, clean, and extremely friendly. They made me feel right at home. While filling out paper work they put on my favorite TV Show then after taking me to the room I was able to choose my choice of music to feel a little more relaxed. The first place I've been to that I didn't have to wait to be seen, very smooth running office. I left feeling so good. They are very up front about everything, no hidden fees. Dr. Lee even made time to treat me so I didn't have to miss more time from work. He also talked to me and explained the treatment that I needed clearly so I felt completely comfortable and didn't try to over sell me. I never felt the shot and the assistant treated me like I was family. I will definitely be returning for my routine check ups and cleaning. I really appreciate the fact that they do not waste time and move quickly to get me in and out without sacrificing on quality.
