We were looking for a spot to grab lunch and saw this place on the way out, so we decided to try it. Although the atmosphere is pretty cool, we were disappointed in the food. Avocado spicy mayo burger: The bun was stale and the meat didn't taste fresh. Avocado and bacon chicken wrap: There was more avocado than chicken on the wrap, and the chicken that was on there was burnt. The 'shine tasting was GREAT! Server was funny and efficient. Spent a good amount of time with each customer. after the tasting we asked the hostess if food was still being served. It was 6:25, Thursday night.Sat at the bar, the bartender didnt acknowledge us. So I went to the ordering station (even though there were only 4 other people in the restaurant and there's an ordering station right weed we were seated at the bar). Placed my order and was told they weren't taking food orders, just appetizers. This place is open until 9. Ordered onion rings. They were nothing special. When my husband was finished he asked for a glass of water. The bartender acted very put out, and then tried to charge us 28 cents for it. Won't need to go back. read more

*Restaurant Review Only* We tried this on a whim after seeing an advertisement. Upon entering, it seemed as though the restaurant is a side business to the moonshine and souvenirs. It was set up really neat, though. The order area and kitchen looked like a weathered building and porch area. The menu was small (just like you would expect from a Southern small-town mom & pop joint that they were apparently driving to replicate). There were no prices on the menu. (Heart attack to ensue...we WERE on a budget.) The eating area (rather small) looked like tables you would find in barn/outdoor dining. I liked the atmosphere very much. There is a small stage, but no entertainment today. You fill your own drink (refills free), pick up your own food from the window, and bus your own table when finished. (All of those things are typical in the BBQ joints where I come from.) The stickers, BBQ nachos, and fries were delicious. Thicker chips would have been better to scoop the nacho toppings...just look at the picture. Really, I think I could have used a shovel! The chicken in the kid's order appeared to be pre-made stuff. Wowza, I loved this place and I'm not saying this because the free samples. Okay, I am but the Moonshine was just amazing. 14 flavors including a seasonal. They have Peach, Apple Pie, Cinnamon, Chocolate, Coffee, Regular, a Vodka, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Shortcake, Sweet Tea, Butter Cake, Orange Crème and the Seasonal which I can't remember what it was. We liked the Peach, Salted Caramel, Chocolate and Coffee so much we bought a bottle. The Orange Crème, Strawberry Shortcake and Apple Pie were kind of nasty to me at least. I loved the Cinnamon and wanted to get it but my mom put the we don't have room in the luggage for it limit at four bottles. The Vodka was vodka, I mean vodka's tasteless so not really much to say other than it was smooth. Butter Cake was good and the Seasonal and Sweet tea was okay (again don't remember which seasonal it was) I got the Bacon, Jalapeno and Cheddar burger it was juicy and tender perfectly cooked to my preferred medium rare, the fries where crispy and perfect. I will defiantly come back here next branson trip and I'm will be getting me a Cinnamon moonshine and a straight the straight is the only one in the whole 14 that is 100 proof while the flavors are 50 proof. Not a moonshine drinker myself I think it's gross, or I did until we went here. Holy cow! I didn't know it was supposed to taste good lol!!! This place was super chill and relaxed, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was really good it really hit the spot. The selection of moonshine to taste was impressive, even showed us how to mix certain ones for a specific taste and let us sample them! The guy who lead us on our moonshine journey if you will was hilarious! You could tell he really enjoyed his job, the people and the place he worked for, he not once laughed at our stupid questions. Which in hindsight he should have he gave us great recommendations of new things to try, really explained certain things to us too, he was well schooled in his profession. We were a little disappointed that the restaurant is listed as barbecue but they actually only have burgers. We decided to go ahead and try it anyways. I had the bacon cheeseburger and my wife had the avocado stuffed burger. Both were really good. While waiting for our food we decided to try the moonshine taste test... moonshine was ok but the 'bartender' serving the moonshine was fabulous!! We thought he was hilarious and gave a good description of what each of the 12 flavors tasted like. Food is reasonably priced but the moonshine is pretty expensive in my opinion. read more

Great spot in a fun area. As a Beachbody coach and working on my nutrition I was liking for a good option for me. Got the Black bean burger topped with Swiss cheese. You have to do the moonshine tasting! Johnny, the bartender, is sweet, warm, and funny. He made the trip for us. And moonshine is delicious! I tried at least 12 flavors and combinations - so much fun, and it goes down SMOOTH! Afterwards, we had tasty burgers and the best fries I've ever eaten. Come in and order food from the bar off a very limited menu. Burgers, nachos and pulled chicken and pork was nearly the whole menu. Chicken strip meal for kids. Prices not listed. I got the BBQ burger. The wife a cheese burger and my son the chicken strips. 2 sodas and one bottle of $4 Springfield beer set us back $40. You seat your self. Refill your own sodas. Pick up your own food. And bus your own table. All this for the price of a sirloin and a waitress at a steakhouse! Absolutely ridiculous prices. The food was good. But the patties were not even hand made. They were frozen but irregular shaped. Very reminiscent of and possibly Fudruckers patties from Walmart. I sampled all the moon shines. A thimble size sampling. They were good. And not distilled here. They are distilled by a 3rd party using their recipe. The employees said the license takes 18 months. Next month (June 2016) they will be able to distill on site. If the quality stays the same as the 3rd party I will stop in and buy a 5th. It was good quality and a 5th will set you back $30. Which brings me to the last and final disappointment. Beer. You can choose from 4 different bottles of SBC or 2 different Montana beers. Each bottle will set you back $4. No drafts. There is a small stage for bands there that was not occupied. We went during dinner on Mother's Day. We were one of three groups inside. A time when other restaurants were slammed it was dead. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place other than to stop in and buy a bottle of the Moonshine. Sweet tea and the Carmel ones were my favorites. read more
