The tasting bar is a great way to sample all the different flavors without buying something you don't like. The barista was fantastic and kept our shot glasses full and was very entertaining. Some of the flavors were spot on... others not so much. The original clear shine is a great smooth full flavored corn mash that is about as authentic as you can get. This was fun, the tasting was a pleasant surprise. We had googled this place before we got to Branson and knew we wanted to purchase some moonshine but we didn't know about the tasting. Our bartender was very entertaining and really made us feel like we could hangout in there all evening. Only reason we didn't try any food was because we had plans to eat after we left. Attempted to grab a bite to eat here and maybe sample some moonshine. It was Sunday around 1pm, we walked in, nobody around. They say they're only offering appetizers, so that was a killer. The one person who was in there, putting away supplies, was rude. Stating "you can get you a steak anywhere, just find you a grill and some salt and pepper". This is a chill place to relax on the strip with great food and drinks. I had a burger stuffed with jalapeno's and cheese and it was fantastic. There's a nice stage where they had a guy playing acoustic who was really good. There's chairs out front to listen to him play. Some of the older, positive reviews talk about their barbecue being pretty decent (at least holding a candle to Whole Hog), but I arrived to discover they no longer serve barbecue. I went ahead and ordered a bleu cheese burger Medium-well to go after being assured by the bubbly and friendly girl behind the counter that their burgers were "fantastic." While I waited for it to be cooked, I went ahead and did a moonshine tasting. The moonshine was an interesting novelty, but I certainly wouldn't spend $30--or even $5--for anything I tasted...and I say that as someone who appreciates and enjoys bourbon and Scotch (i.e. I like whiskey). Not that I, of course, expected this to match up to Pappy (or even Woodford), but this didn't meet even my low expectations. There were probably 12 or so flavors, some of which were tolerable (peach) and some of which were downright disgusting (orange, which tasted nothing like a creamsicle and everything like burnt sugar mixed with orange peel). My burger finished about halfway through the tasting, so I interrupted the bartender's corny, fast-talking spiel to the other 6 guests present and asked for a quick taste of the straight "moonshine" (really, just white whiskey) to clear out the other flavors and see what was underneath it all. Umm, yuck. No wonder nothing was good. I don't even know what it was, but it certainly bore no resemblance to whiskey. I guess I was expecting something like Jack but harsher? This was not that. It was maybe a sickly sweet Everclear that had been watered down with--I don't know, but it was not pleasant. It took several minutes and several mouthfuls of Dr Pepper to clear out the taste. I guess, though, apparently that actually is how it's supposed to taste. It was all right but nothing special--a little thin and dry, probably on par with ones I've eaten at like Applebee's or TGI Friday's. Not bad but certainly not worth going out of your way for. Unfortunately, this yet again reinforced my default tendency to just ignore anything at the Landing. There's not a *lot* of good food in Branson, but there are a few hidden gems around. Unfortunately, none of them is at the Landing, and this one in particular is not worth seeking out and probably only worth stopping at if you're stuck eating at the Landing. Feel free to try the moonshine if you're curious to see what it's like, but don't go into a moonshine tasting with any expectation that it'll be anything resembling delicious. Or maybe it's just not my taste. Friendly people there, though, even if the guy doing the tasting was a little too cheesy-enthusiastic. Decor is faux-old-mountain-holler, done well, much like something you'd see at Silver Dollar City. There's a stage, too, but I can't attest to their entertainment schedule, if any. read more

When coming to Branson, I always looked forward to lunch, because we knew we would come here for the jalapeno wheels and nachos. Unbeknownst to us, the entire menu changed. They no longer have BBQ and instead have burgers and wraps. I guess they got bought out...again...? We was seriously disappointed. We decided to eat here anyway and each got the avocado burger. Had so much fun at our little tasting today at the Smith Creek Moonshine satellite shop at Branson Landing today! The staff was very inviting and the bartender was hilarious! I am not a big drinker but I bought two bottles of booze today and a shirt. Don't think you won't like it because it says "moonshine" do the FREE taste test you won't be sorry! It is so smooth going down and tastes so good. Highly recommend Salted Caramel and Butter Cake. Love the shop! Wish I could have bought more... read more

I love this place! Came here based on yelp reviews, and then came back again the next day and brought more people to enjoy it. Had fried pickles and pig stickers and they were both incredible. As far as drinks, we got the Orange Creamsicle which was the most amazing thing I've ever had. Seriously. Pineapple upside down cake and Arnold palmer were also delicious. My mom got a hillbilly frappucino and it was AMAZING. I would really recommend their blended drinks. My husband got an old fashioned and granny's apple pie which he loved. Went in an hour before closing and had the gourmet black and blue burger either fries. It was delicious but the bun was cold and may have been better if it was warmed or toasted. While waiting for my meal I sampled some of their moonshine and it was real smooth especially the peach one! They also have some really great smelling candles for sale in the shop. The moonshine here is very flavorful. Its a nice place, very clean, and the food is really good. Austin was a new bartender and he was a lot of fun to have make our drinks. He was told us a lot about the area and things that can be done. The only thing is the ordering process for the food. That needs to be fixed, especially if there are people at the bar. They have the bartender take the food orders and the bar orders, this kinda does suck as we did have to wait awhile for our drinks, but that would be a management thing to improve. read more

We had been to a tasting at Smith Creek Moonshine, but we hadn't ever eaten there. We found ourselves looking for somewhere to eat around 8 on a Friday night. Since we were already at the Levee, we decided to give this place a try. When we walked in, we really had no clue whether to order at the bar or seat ourselves. It turned out that there was no table service, so we finally figured out to order at the bar. The tender was very friendly despite being pretty overwhelmed. While taking orders, he also tried to give instructions and deliver food. One member of our party headed over to the bar side for a tasting while we waited for our food. He got through all the samples while we waited because there was only one cook. Though it took awhile, the food was very good. We had a variety of burgers and salad. The price was okay on the food side, but $30 for a jar of moonshine is a bit much for me. I think you buy the liquor for the uniqueness rather than the value. I hope this business hires a little extra help on the restaurant side. I will skip the moonshine that draws most people in and head straight for the bar to order the good food! read more
